Chillin' in the Grove

Kaity opened her eyes, she was surprised she got about five minutes of sleep. "Wow a new record." She rubbed her tired eyes and reached into her small bag, grabbing a five hour energy. She cracked the small bottle open and chugged the vial fluid. "Ew..." She stood up and rolled up the sleeping bag placing it buy zero. She looked over zero seeing if he was awake. "Hmmm..."

Zero had a hand ver his face, snoring quietly. He didn't usually wake up early. Through the night, he dreamt things, things that would drive any mortal man crazy. Not him though. He was too alone, too dark to be moved by such things.

Kaity sighed and looked around. "What is there to eat around here?" She walked off into the forest trying to find some food to fill her empty stomach.

As he heard branches snap, Zero opened his eyes, watching Kaity wander off into the forest.,

Kaity walked farther and found some berries. "These look edible." She grabbed a few.

Zero yawned, watching Kaity until she disappeared from sight,

Kaity walked back with a handful of berries. "You awake?" She plopped down on a log and smiled. "I think I found something to eat..." She held out her hands showing the dark blue berries.

Zero sat up slowly, stretching his back. Although he loved the forest, he didn't usually eat anything from it. "Well... I'm not sure if that's edible or not."

"There's only one way to find out." Kaity popped a couple In her mouth.

Zero blinked as she ate a couple. "I'm not sure that's entirely wise, my friend."

Kaity chewed and spit them out. "Ugh there disgusting..." She grabbed some water from her bag and washed out her mouth. "I've never had a berry taste that sour."

Zero smirked, laying his head back down. "Well, now we know they're disgusting."

Kaity threw the rest of the berries away. "Well that was a waste of my time." She looked down at the charm on her necklace.

Zero followed her gaze and asked her, "What's that?"

Kaity looked up at zero and smiled. "It's my surfboard. My dad gave it to me when I was born. It gets bigger when I want it to." Kaity shrugged. "It's all I have from my father."

Zero nodded slowly, thinking of how cool that would've been. Something huge that shrinks for your convenience.

"Do you have anything from Eros?" Kaity looked up at zero softly.

"Nope. What can Eros give me? Sexual desire? He's the god of sexual desire." Zero said plainly. "Not much he can give me."

"Oh..." Kaity scratched her head awkwardly. Sexual desire? What a strange thing to be a god of.

Zero couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah, not much."

Kaity smirked. "So all the girls must chase after you that's why you hide in the forest huh?" Kaity joked around.

Zero smirked, "A little bit."

Kaity smiled. "Wanna go surf?"

Zero scrunched his nose and shook his head. "Naaaah."

"Oh I see how it is." Kaity grinned. "I'm guessing your not much of an adventurer huh?"
