Surf's Up

Stephen sighed as she looked back at him before she left. After he was sure she was gone, he couldn't help but become irritated, frustrated with his fate. "Why is it me..?" He asked himself, walking back to the shoreline, the water lapping over his toes. "Why is it me?" He asked himself a little louder. "WHY IS IT ME?!" he yelled across the water, trying to find someone to blame. "Man, f**k my life." He muttered as he plopped down on the sand. After a the process of him cooling down took place, he stood up, a sigh escaping his lips. "Why is my life so hard?" He asked, looking up to the sky. "Why?" He asked again, as if an answer would come floating down. He shook his head slowly and walked away from the shoreline, ripping his surfboard out of the sand and left, heading towards his own cabin.
