"You could still be here even if you didn't like me." Quinn informed him. She took another step, "It's very easy to hide emotions when your around someone." It's like a poker face, she thought. Some poker faces are easier to see through than others. She has a pretty good poker face if she said so herself. Quinn and Jackson weren't that far apart bow. Maybe a good foot away. Quinn tugged on the jacket's sleeve. She was amazed on how she was still wearing it. Quinn noticed him looking away, but she left that topic alone.

Re: Punching Trees
"Well, I'm a lot of things, but I'm not a liar. Okay, maybe I do lie, but I can't lie about how I feel. Its written in my eyes, I've been told. They change colors, y'know, based on how I feel about the situation I'm in." Jackson looked at her and he knew how is eyes looked. They were light blue. Ice blue. They were at there best.

Re: Punching Trees
"If your feelings are 'written in your eyes', why can't I tell?" The two demigods were very close now. This would be a god opportunity to just pull out a knife. But she didn't; at least she didn't want to. First, Quinn needed to figure him out. Then she can figure out the rest later. It shouldn't be that hard to understand a boy. Especially if he claims he is easy to read.

Re: Punching Trees
"Well, you have to learn how to read them. Dark is bad and light is good. Navy means hate and anger, and ice blue is reserved for the best of emotions." Jackson got up in her face, their noses maybe and inch apart. He looked right into her eyes. He knew what she was looking at, though. His eyes were shockingly ice blue, almost white even, and he knew what that meant: desire, excitement, love, rejoice, passion. Jackson had ruled out two but the other three were too much for him to explain, even to himself.

Re: Punching Trees
They were extremely close, but surprisingly Quinn did not care. "And what if I don't want to learn." She said coldly. In stead of backing up she inches further; very, very close. "What are you going to do then Jackson?" Quinn was not scared of the son of ares. It was like a game; who could explode first. Quinn was certain she was calm at the moment, but paper entry emotions can change quickly. Quinn did not know that you could do that.

Re: Punching Trees
Jackson was sick of holding back. He knew what the walls in his mind were holding back. What they were always holding back. "You wanna know one thing that I've always known about myself. I'm not good at holding back." Jackson tilted his head with a smile. He had no clue what Quinn wanted. He couldn't tell in the slightest. Honestly, he didn't care what she wanted at that moment. He knew what he wanted. And Jackson Isaac Kingston always got what he wanted. Jackson hooked his arm around her and closed the tiny space between them. Jackson kissed her.

Re: Punching Trees
Quinn was taken back by the kiss. Who knew right? It took a moment before Quinn had returned the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck. The daughter of Hesperus was actually amazed. She didn't know that he, uh, liked her like that. Quinn had definitely thought about it, but she has questioned herself. Quinn pulled away but was still close to him. She let out a small laugh. "Heh," she smiled softly.

Re: Punching Trees
Jackson smiled down at Quinn. "That went significantly better than I expected, to be honest. I expected to get slapped in the face or stabbed with a knife or something." And that was true. Jackson hadn't expected her to feel the same way about him in the slightest. She didn't even seem like the type of person to feel that way about anyone, especially not someone who acted like an arrogant jerk when they first met.

"I mean if you rather me stab you then fine." She frowned, "I have a bunch of knives." The teen dropped her arms to her sides. "I could also probably slap you as well. I assume kissing is nicer." Quinn smiled. She had took out a knife and started twirling it between her fingers.

Re: Punching Trees
"Much, much nicer." Jackson laughed a little, but he did make her a bit nervous with the knife thing, even if he was a match for her. Jackson smiled at her and pulled lightly at the opening in the front of his jacket. "That looks really nice on you. Mostly because it's mine, though." Jackson let his hands slide down along the hem of the jacket slowly and let go quickly, letting his fingers catch the tip of the knife in Quinn's hand. "Do you like to make me nervous?"

Re: Punching Trees
Quinn laughed, tugging on the jacket's sleeves. It was really warm, the jacket, nice. "I hope I make you nervous," She said calmly, "it's kind of my thing." Quinn stopped playing with the knife and dropped it on the cold ground beside her. Ever since she has been at camp (seven years), Quinn felt like she should make people feel nervous or scared. She didn't want them around her, so if she played with her knives almost everyday in plain sight, no one would come near her. She could be called 'Knife Girl" for all she cared. She wasn't called that though, it was a shame.

Re: Punching Trees
Jackson laughed. "Trust me, if I had me bow, or my sword, or my staff, or my knife, or my mace....... Or any weapon, for that matter, I wouldn't be the one who was nervous." Jackson smiled at her. This was not the outcome that Jackson had expected from this encounter, but Jackson was really happy with how it had.

Re: Punching Trees
"You'd still be nervous." She told him. "You have a lot of weapons, that's dumb." Quinn blurted. Quinn stuck her hands in her pocket and backed up a little. She didn't want to run, more so that she didn't want to be that close. She could almost hear him breathing. That sounds kind of weird.

Re: Punching Trees
Jackson shrugged. "Not really. Not when you are extremely skilled in all of them." Jackson frowned a little when she backed away a bit, but he brushed it off. "But you're right. I probably would still be pretty nervous. I mean, because of you. I mean, not because of you. I mean, you make me nervous. Well, not really nervous, more like jumpy. Not quite jumpy, more like....." Jackson trailed off and looked down.

Re: Punching Trees
"Honestly, Jackson." Quinn said. She picked up his head and kissed him again. She was not sure if it was to make him stop rambling or if she just wanted to. Oh well, she did it anyway. Quinn didn't know she liked him like that, or that she was aware of it. Quinn pushed that thought behind, she didn't really have time to think.

Re: Punching Trees
Jackson smiled. He kissed her lightly again, and then backed away. "That was a good way of telling me to shut up." Jackson bent down and picked up the knife off the ground. He picked it up and handed it to her. "Show me what you can do with those. I wanna know what I'm putting myself up against." Once the knife was in her hand, Jackson backed up and leaned against a tree. He wanted to see if he actually stood a chance against her, if it came down to it.

Re: Punching Trees
"No." Quinn simply said. She pushed the knife back towards him, frowning. Quinn didn't want him to see her through knives, it's like her only talent. Sure she already threw a few. But he doesn't have to know everything. No one has to know everything about a person; that's what makes people more interesting.string them along for more, that's how people should do things. It's far more boring learning everything in one day. You don't learn about revolutions in te same day. That's not quite the same thing but dyne pont is made. Quinn dug her toes in the ground and looked up. The sun was out, but why is it so cold?

Re: Punching Trees
Jackson shook his head, a slight smile still on his face. He sat down next to a tree and gestured for Quinn to join him. Jackson stared at her. "I don't get you. You seem shy and understated, but you also seem like the kind of person who would just kill me because, why not. I feel like you have a spontaneous side, and I wanna see it." Jackson still had Quinn's knife, and he began to spin it.

Re: Punching Trees
"I prefer the word reserved." Quinn plopped down next to Jackson, her fingers gripping the zipper on the jacket. "Do you have to know everything in a day? I won't show you, you'll just have to find out later." Quinn was looking at the trees across from them. She had never thought someone would think of her as shy. Sure she hates talking to people, but she's just protecting herself from the dangers of people. She doesn't want to make friend because they'll just go away at the end. It's sad, really; but that's just how Quinn thinks. Her parents tainted her with the idea that people will leave you. Why would anyone want to face that again? It's better to conceal for her.
