Personality: Astrid is rather...all over the place. Being the daught of the thief goddess has left Astrid with a kleptomania problem as well as a compulsive sense to lie about basically everything if she feels it will help her situation. Don't get me wrong, Astrid is a strong, proud person that is completely okay with who she is, but she's rather Bold in her thieving ways, feeling as if she is one of the best, second to the gods and her father. These tendencies of hers often times get her into trouble if she is caught, but she still does them regardless because she feels it's what she was born to do. Even when she tries to stop, the temptation drags her back, so rather than fight who she is, she embraced the thieves life and takes pride in her work as one. This make her very dangerous as she trained to be able to fight when she gets caught unless she knows she's outclassed in which case her words are what she tries to use to slip away from the problem. Astrid is a thief through and through, that's about all that can be said about her.
Flaws: Kleptomaniac, Compulsive Liar, Bold about her skill as a thief, Erratic.
Powers(must relate to god parent; optional): NONE DAMMIT
Life Before CJ*: Astrid was born to be a thief. Though I guess you figured that, anyway, getting to her actually birth. Johnathan Haywood was a professional thief, trained to hack, pick locks, etc. He made quite a bit of money off of his profession as well as some good contacts from it. Settling in the USA for a short little bit, Johnathon met Furina, disguised as a women named Lisa. The two found a common attraction to one another through the thieves life and soon they became lovers. This lasted for about 8 months before Furina found herself pregnant with their daughter. Johnathon had questions about how his job and raising a daughter would work, but Lisa assured him that the child would take after the trade well. He believed her and let his worries subside.
About 6 months into the pregnancy, Lisa felt that she had to reveal herself to Johnathon, not to hurt him, but as a way for him to prepare for when she gave birth to Astrid and then left him and her on their own. Johnathon didn't take the news well but he also understood, finding solace in the thought that the goddess of thieves herself was the mother of his child and he had the idea that the child would be a better thief than himself. With these thoughts in mind Johnathon made the preparations to raise the child as best he can. Astrid was born without any medical issues or hiccups of the sort and Johnathon took her home shortly after birth. The early years of Astrid's life were a mix of normality and training. Johnathon noticed early on the child's nature skill at stealing and from the time that she could walk and understand, he taught her some simple things that she would need to know about the thieving art. The child learned fast and by the age of 7 she was stealing his wallet from his pocket like a pro and picking locks quite well, though not perfected it.
Hacking came as the hardest thing for the child to learn and took her about 2 years to get it down well enough to do what she needed to. Not the best by any means but she knew what she was doing. At the age of 12, Astrid was well equipped in the stealth part, as well as the lying part, of the trade, but she lacked any kinda of simple hand-to-hand skills. Johnathon called in a friend and together the two taught Astrid how to hold her own with a combat knife and her fists in order to get out of the more hectic situations. After a year Astrid knew most everything that Johnathon felt that she needed to know to be adequate at the trade, the rest she could figure out on her own and make a mark of her own on the world of thieves.
On her 13th birthday, Johnathon was met by the wolf Lupa, a meeting that Furina explained would come sooner or later after the passing of it, and Astrid left with the wolves, Johnathon explaining that she had to go to become a better thief than him. He also said it was where she could find out why her mother left and never visited her. Astrid agreed, though not completely willing all at once. All the same she stayed with the wolves and learned what the wolves had to offer before they sent her to camp. At the age of 14 she made it to Camp Jupiter and almost instantly took to the idea of Archery. Now two years later she is a much more competent thief with Archery added to her trade.
RP Example*: Astrid sat in a tree, looking down at the city of New Rome. She could see the shops from where she was, but she was outside the border because of Terminus. Damn god always caught her when ever she tried to slip into the city with her weapons in tow, it was literally the only way that she is always caught. She was determined to beat him though, it was one of the few goals that she constantly kept on her mind. Anyway, from the tree she could see the shops and thus could see some of the merchandise that was larger to see from the distant, turning her head to the city itself she saw a building that she should be able to jump to from there if she ran from the tree and took a big enough jump. Determined, she steeled herself for the task and broke into a careful but fast run and then jumped, falling through the border and barely catching the ledge of the building she was aiming for. She pulled herself up and dusted herself off only to find a very angry statue staring at her.
"AGAIN, ASTRID! HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU TRY THIS UNTIL YOU GIVE UP!" Terminus yelled at her, obviously restraining himself to just yells.
"I'll try till I slip past you. I'm one of the greatest thieves in the world." She said to him as she dropped down from the building and then leaving the city.
Terminus appeared outside the border next to her and stated, "You may be the daughter of the Thief goddess, but you're not exempt from the weapon rule."
"Whatever." She stated and then dashed off towards the other areas of the camp, not wanting to here anymore of a lecture.
