Repercussions (private)

Owen sat alone in the Mess Hall, at dinner time, eating some steak. He thought about Hilda and just everything that had recently happened between them. They had gotten together just so Hilda could've told him a few hours later that she would've liked more than what Owen was, which kinda hurt him. Not in a way to make him mad at her, just in the way that it was like ouch. He got up, getting a bottle of Dr. Pepper. He drank some before sitting back down. Another dude, who looked about eighteen or seventeen, sat across from him.

"Dude, I'm trying to be alone."

"Well, sorry, I guess," Jared responded.

Hilda shuffled into the Mess Hall wearing a simple outfit that consisted of blue jeans, a gray t-shirt, with her owl necklace around her neck. She walked in, looking around for Owen. She finally laid eyes on him before walking over. He was sitting with another guy, Jared? Yeah. The guy she had met while on her way to her cabin. He had offered to go to a wrestling match that was scheduled on Friday at 7:00pm which she had agreed to going.

The daughter of Athena slowly came to the table, hitting the inside of his cheek. "Uh, hey, Owen, hey Jared." She looked down disappointedly, but didn't let that show on her face, knowing that it make her seem weak. And if there's one thing Hilda Marie Vélez isn't, it's being weak.

Owen saw Hilda. "Hey, Hilda," he said, a bit sluggishly.

Jared looked at Hilda. "Hilda? The Athena girl? Nice to see you again."

"Wait, you two know each other?"

"Yeah, we met like a couple hours ago. She's coming to our wrestling match on Friday."

"Oh, she is?" he glared at Hilda. Nothing like finding out your girlfriend was going to see men in tights.

"Yeah. So, you're Owen...you guys are dating?"

"I don't know. There might be another dude around here that might say otherwise."

"Oh. Yikes. Relationship problems?"

Hilda crossed her arms, almost reaching for her celestial bronze knife. "I was going to ask you if you wanna to come, idiot." She sat down at the table, glaring back at Owen. "And those were my private thoughts." The daughter of Athena looked away from Owen's eyes, moving her hand from her weapon.

"Well, I accept, I guess," he muttered.

Jared glared at them. "Defiantly relationship problems."

"Yessir."

"Oh...well, Hilda, do you not like Owen?"

She stood up quickly. "The issues I have is dealing with this idiot! One part of me wants to kill you while the other part of me wants to kiss you and snuggle up with you while watching a movie." She exclaimed. She narrowed her eyes and jumped across the table, wrapping her hands around Owen's neck. "I hate it!"

"WOAH, WOAH, WOAH. Calm it down. People are staring."

Owen screamed a bit. "Hilda....if you're going to strangle me, please don't make me feel sorry for you by looking at me with your beautiful eyes. I don't want to pass out feeling bad."

Hilda pointed the dagger at Jared. "Stay out of this!" She yelled before hitting Owen in the temple, knocking him out cold.

Jared grinned nervously, leaving quickly.

Hilda glared at Jared before dragging him out to the Mess Hall and headed to the Hermes cabin.
