Name: Clarissa Luce. To friends and some sibling she is known as Clary. Her name Clarissa means brilliant or clear, were as her last name, Luce, means light. So, in translation, her name means Brilliant or clear light.
Gender: Female
Mortal Parent: John Luce. He is a well known Lawyer in New York and has always wanted Clarissa to study Law herself. Her father being a Lawyer, she does now a bit, though she never really thought about joining the career tract.
God Parent: Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow. Messenger of gods.
Date of Birth: March, 15, 2000. Her current age is fourteen (14).
Place of Birth: Paris, France. When Iris and John (her father) met, it was in Paris, causing her to be born and raised there until the age of three before moving to America. Paris is the Hometown of her Father and Grandmother.
Hometown/Last Residence: Sullfolk County, New York, USA. You can just call it the Hamptons.
Race/ethnicity: Besides being half god, Clarissa is said to be thirty-five percent (35%) french and fifteen percent (15%) American/English.
Accent: Clarissa has a very light French accent.
Skin Tone: Clarissa is quite pale. In the summer her skin darkens up just a little, making her look less like a ghost, or as more of an Iris reference, Less of a bright light.
Eye Color: Her eyes are a very bright green. In the winter they tend to darken, making them look more like wet moss than cat eyes.
Hair Color: Well, here is were things get interesting. Being a child of Iris, she loves to dye her hair. She bleached her naturally blonde hair about two years ago. Since that it was a very light shade of blonde, when she did bleach her hair for the third time, it turned white. On the other hand she has died her hair with streaks of black, turquoise, neon and dark green, dark blue, red and one streak of purple on her bangs.
Hair Length: Her bangs are cut about shoulder length wear as the rest of it falls down in a multi-colored rainbow to her hips.
Height: Five foot six inches (5' 6")
Weight: Approximately one-hundred fifteen pounds. (115)
Body Type: She could be considered to have a athletic body. She does not have large muscles however, just a flat stomach and long legs. She tends to like to jog and drink lots of water.
Appearance: Her body is very small, despite her height. She is very nimble and tends to be pale.Clarissa usually leaves her hair free falling and occasionally she curls it. She tends to wear mascara and eyeliner, as well as her usual silver eyeshadow. Sometimes she trades in the silver eyeshadow for purple. She is usually seen wearing a bright colored tank-top, black hoodie, skinny jeans and her black with green shoe lace converse lace up boots. These come up to her knee. She usually has her nails painted a strange array of Neon colors. They usually go in the order of neon orange, neon green, neon pink, and neon blue. Much looking like skittles. Clary has her nose pierced on the left side. She usually keeps a light green stone in the piercing. She is usually seen carrying around a small black back-pack, containing demi-god supplies and her sketch book.
Weapon: Her weapons include a pocket knife. It has a eagle feather design on the outside and opens up to expose the blade. It is celestial bronze as well as her 2 foot long sword. The sword has a metal hilt.
Armor: She has all your standard armor. The breast plate, the greaves, the helmet, etc. However, her breastplate has a rainbow on the right shoulder, about 4 inches big.
Pet(s): Clary owns a Arctic fox that is 1 year old. Her name is Aurora. She is named after the the Aurora lights of Alaska. She is very tiny, like the rest of her brethren. Aurora is solid white except for the black outline around her ears. Clary got Aurora when visiting Alaska with her Grandfather. At the time, her grandfather thought it would just be a good way to get away from everything. During there stay, they decided to go Ice fishing. While doing this cold task, the little fluffy creature watched until Clarissa caught a fish. When she did Aurora quickly ran over and snatched it away, climbing into Clary's back-pack of supplies and there she stayed until they reached the place that they were staying. Asking her Grandfather to keep her, he replied yes. Clarissa also owns a solid white pegasi named Blizzard, which stays in the stables at camp.
Skills/Talents: She loves to draw, particularly with charcoal pencils. Her favorite form of artwork is creating graffiti designs. She tends to hum any new tune that she is currently working on. Yes she sings and writes songs. However, she may share a song writing with you, but not her actual singing. Another talent that she has is running. She is very fast at this and loves to do it. She loves to play the Bass guitar and piano. She learned the piano by watching her grandmother, never taking actual lessons. The guitar she learned by listening to the instrumental versions of her favorite songs. She bought a poster to learn all the chords. Using the chords chart she practiced the tunes in the songs until they sounded exactly the same.
Flaws: Her physical flaw is that she has pudgy baby cheeks. Clary tends to be very defensive about herself, hobbies and beliefs. She tends to not give a good darn about what anyone thinks about her and is often very stubborn. She tends to be very self-depreciative. She is very quick to give to people, hardly ever getting anything in return. She also tends to be committed, always doing things for others and leaving little time for herself.
Strengths: She is very fast when running, allowing her to make a quick escape from monsters and other such enemies. Clarissa tends to be determined and can get done almost anything that she sets her ming to.
Weaknesses: Fluffiness. She loves cute and fluffy things along with bright colors. Debates. She has always had a very bad habit of always jumping right into any debate that is currently going on.
Likes: Anything bright and spontaneous. She likes warm days and bright colors. She tends to like drawing, song writing and almost anything that has to do with music.
Dislikes: She does not like people who do not take responsibility for there own actions. Everyone does something once in a while that has a consequence, therefore they should take responsibility for it. Clarissa can absolutely, positively not stand hang-nails. She prefers to have her hands at least, half-decently manicured, no hang nails allowed.
Fears: Public speaking. She has always hated it and since she is shy, she is very scared of speaking in front of groups of people. She is also scared of being in large crowds of people. Clary is claustrophobic and hates being in small places, especially if they are dark.
Personality: Clarissa is very shy and is often seen caring around her backpack and sketch book. Occasionally she uses her drawing abilities to help the Aphrodite cabin with clothing designs. She tends to always confine herself to solitary. If you do ever get to know her, she is a very hyper and bubbly person. When it comes to her feelings or personal life, Clary tends to be a "Closed Book" Never letting other people in or discussing how she feels unless it is something that she feels strongly about. Clary likes the sun, however she can deal with the cold as long as it is not below freezing. Her father being a lawyer she knows how to argue, and depending on the topic, loves to do so. Do not get on her bad side, as she is overly defensive and a bit of a fighter. She loves to just sit in the sun with friends and talk and laugh about random things. She has a bit of sass, but prefers not to use it unless given a very valuable purpose to do so. She tends to somewhat care about others think, but doesn't take it to over extensive measures. She likes the idea of anything having to do with the sun and sometimes even clothes.
Powers: Just like the majority of the children of Iris, she can create rainbows. Due to this being for leisure activities, she can create a rainbow within 4 posts, making them last for a total of 3 posts with a cool down of 4. The largest rainbow that she can create is about 5 foot wide and 11 feet long.
Like her mother, She can use light from her rainbows to create multicolored flames that burn her enemies in order to defend herself. This happens every 5 posts and can last up to 4 posts. The range on this power is about 30 feet. The actual temperature of these flames are 140 degrees Fahrenheit or 62 degrees Celsius. This is the temperature at which causes second degree burns as well as causes the human skin to go numb.
She can blind enemies with the use of the rainbow's light. The range on this power is about 25 feet, but she can only blind the enemy that she is focusing on. This can last for up to 2 posts with a cool down of 4. In other words, the blindness of the enemy lasts for two post.
She also has super speed. This happens up to 5 posts and takes a cool down of 15. This is mainly used for escaping monsters/fights. Her top speed is 75 miles-per-hour. If she does not use this poser for all 5 posts, take the number of posts that she did use and multiply it by three. This will be her cool down rate. For example, she uses it for three posts, take 3, multiply it by three and you get the number nine. This means that she can not use her speed for a cool down of nine posts if she did not use it for the full 5.
Just a side note, but for the 2nd and 3rd power, Clarissa uses the sun as sources for energy, causing these to only be of use during the day. In order to do these powers, Clary must create her rainbows first.
ABILITIES: An ability that she has is the ability to communicate and understand pegasi. She understands them beyond normality and can here their thoughts in her mind. She can also talk to the pegasi and they can understand her, as she does them.
Social Status: She isn't exactly popular. Only a few people know her, have being at CHB for a short time and being shy.

Life Before Camp: Clariss was born in Paris, France and raised in the marvelous country until the age of three. In the month of May, two months after her third birthday, is when her father, John Luce and Grandmother moved her to The Hamptons in New York, USA. The reason for moving was the fact of her fathers job. It had slowed down to were he was making almost hardly no money. He was told by a close friend that he would be given a job by moving to New York, and so they did.
At the age of 8 she started third grade, just like anyone else. It was at this time that the teachers realized that she was ADHD and Dyslexic. It occurred to them over the course of a few months when they realized that it was no longer the childish energy that she had that was motivating her. As for the dyslexia they pointed to letters and asked her to say what letter that she seen. She mostly confused the letters a with e, c with o, and g with k. The teachers recommended that she was to be put on medicine for her ADHD but her father said no. The teachers finally kept persisting until her grandmother became furious, going to the Principal of the school and making them agree that Clarissa's ADHD was not that big of a deal.
At the age of 11, her grandmother died. This took a toll on her as her Grandmother was her best friend. More like a mother than anything. At the funeral, she was asked to sing a song. She did as told, but this is when she officially decided that she did no longer want to stand up in front of people and sing or talk.
At the age of 13, Clary discovered her powers when she became very happy while playing in a large rain storm. The sun was not out and yet a rainbow appeared. Before then other things that hinted at the fact that she was a demi-god was the simple fact of no mother. Her father never liked to talk about her mother and always did his best to change the subject when the question was brought up. On the day of her 13th birthday, Her grandfather seen her talking to a Satyr. He had been visiting from Louisiana. He knew that is was a satyr because of the fact that he could see through the mist and that the satyr failed to cover up his horns all that well. The satyr described CHB to her grandfather. That night, her father and Grandfather had a discussion and decided to take her to Camp Half-Blood.
Role-playing Example: *Clary was sitting on her bunk, painting her nails. Blowing on the polish to make her nails dry faster, she leaned back, thinking. A group of her cabin mates walked in and accidentally bumped her bed. The polish spilled, getting on her sheets and pants. She sat up quickly and gasped. How dare they, she thought. "Why would you do that?" she shouted at them. That was her last bottle of neon green polish and now it was spilled everywhere. The group just laughed an continued to walk away. She got up off of the bed and yanked the sheets of of the bed. Great. It had seeped through onto the mattress. She quickly walked to the bathroom, getting a rag and starting to scrub. Then, Clarissa, changed her pants. At least it did not dry first.
Oh, but what do do know? She was out of polish and couldn't finish her nails, so that was out. She reached under her bed and pulled out her rarely used laptop. Clarissa decided to email her father back about his newest trial. Why he was always asking her questions and sending her pictures of crazy evidence, only Zeus knew. Pulling up her email and re-watching the video with the evidence and thougts of the case that her father had sent her, Clary began to write a reply.*
