Cold night and warm hearts

"Two days ago," she said. "I was actually looking at some photos I took earlier this year and there was this one picture of a San Fran beach at dawn. Inspiration right there."

I chuckled and shook my head, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her closer to me as I placed a kiss on her cheek. "No, silly. I meant, when did you start painting, as in, at what age?"

BIC: "Oh," she giggled, hiding her mouth behind her hand. "I started super early. I think I was five?"

Smiling, she bit her lower lip slowly. "Hey, by the way. A friend of mine is organizing a party in her house in New Zealand. I think you should come. A lot of others are going and it's all paid for so you don't even need to pay for travel!"

"Sure, that actually sounds like a wonderful idea. As long as you make sure I can come; I wouldn't want to make a bad impression to your friends. When will it be and how long will we stay?"I asked curiously as I nuzzled my face in the crook of her neck. I rarely found a girl who would let me be this affectionate so I took advantage of it every time I could.

BIC: "It's next week, we can stay for the week end," Laure said with a bright smile, happy that Andrew had accepted. They would make one hell of a couple. "Oh, also, the theme is masquerade ball."

"Oh, masquerade? That sounds very interesting indeed. Will we go with matching outfits? That will need quite a lot of work, my lady. So, one night the party and the rest we're on vacation on the beautiful New Zealand? Sweet" I exclaimed as I returned her smile with a grin of mine.
