It's more than that. Alexia said as she closed her tablet/laptop thinking. It's more like hundreds of different species and hybrids living in three different and strict worlds. It's hard to explain but the comic makes sense at least. She laughed a little running a hand through her hair.

"Uh-huh. And how many people read the comic?"

Now that, was a rather interesting question. It depends on the day, sometimes thousands sometimes only a few hundred. She admitted. To some it seemed like a lot of people but Alexia knew that there were some people who had millions of people readying their comic.

"Nice." A few hundred to few thousand? Those didn't sound like bad numbers. "If somome was looking to read your comic, what path would they take to get to it?"

I post drawings and sketching on Instagram as well as when a new page is up so that would probably be the best way. Either that or subscribing to the page I guess. She shrugged. If he was indeed interested in reading the comic she would have to think and see about getting it printed. I may be coming out with a print edition once I get a few more chapters up and done.

"So Instagram, a webpage, and possibly print. Intresting." He step back and leaned against a tree, casually crossing his arms. "Have you looked into a publisher yet?"

I don't think it's that good of work to even consider a publisher. She admitted with laughter and waving her hands in front of her like a young girl.

Julien just looked at Lexi, giving her a displeased look. "And what makes you believe that?"

She shrugged. The comic is more of a regular hobby that people just enjoy. I draw what comes to mind that fits with what happened before and share it with whomever wants to read it. She went on to talk about how she would feel bad for making it cost something which was why she kept it on the internet and not sending it to a publisher.

"Then why not get it out there for people to see?" Julien got himself off of the tree, now freely standing and speaking passionately. "Tell me, if a thousand people are willing to take their time to read your work, who's to say there aren't a million more who'd be willing to pick up a tangible, ink and pulp version of your handiwork?"

Because the likelihood of it with me is slim. She said laughing a little again. People knew her family and the money she came from. If anyone saw her work they would assume it was her fathers idea in order to make more money.

Julien let out an annoyed "Ughhhh...", tilting his head up as the noise left his throat. When that was over, he looked back at Lexi, adamant on changing her attitude. "Why? Why must people always doubt themselves? Isn't this your magnum opus? Your pride and joy? Why not take a chance with the world and see if it resonates with the masses?!"

It's not that I doubt myself its the fact that I have no real reason to. She admitted laughing a little.

Well I'm going to print it yes but as to whether or not I go to a publisher I really don't see a reason for it. People already read it, I couldn't ask for more. She explained as the wig began to bother her some. Lexi kept it on but she was contemplating whether to take it off or not.

Printing, but without a publisher? "What do you mean you'll print but not use a publisher?"

I can call my father who has a friend in the buisness who will print it for me without making me get signed into a contract. Besides, it leaves the option to self publish one day if i want to. She explained.

Oh. Well, that actually makes sense. "I see..." Julien adjusted his position, his unsuppressed ADHD leading him to lean against the tree from before, but this time doing it with an extended arm rather than his whole body. "So, what does your dad do to get him so close to the publishing industry?"

Oh, dad plays violin and writes his own music. He knows Nick from going to other publishers for his music and that's how he met Nick as well as how I can get my things printed without charge really. She smiled. All the perks in the world for exactly what she wanted.

How convenient. "So your dad is a musician? Neat, really neat. Is he affiliated with any orchestras in Zürich or elsewhere?"

He typically plays solo or with some of his friends but he did play with the orchestra a few times and I think he's performing with them a few times this year as well. She said tapping her chin while she thought.

Julien nodded in reply. "So he's very talented at the violin then? Does he record and sell records or, like, how does he do that for a job?"

Alexia nodded at the mention of her father being talented, he was the best violinist she knew. It's kind of both. He says he's his own boss. He produces his own records from time to time but he usually fills in for sick performers.

Julien nodded, showing Lexi that he was still listening. "That's cool, being your own boss." Now, that had been a single question aching in the back of the son of Nike's head, and he couldn't contain it any longer: "So, since he does all this recording and temping, how much does your dad make off of all of it?"

The daughter of Hebe shrugged. I have no idea. He doesn't really talk about it but we've never had to really worry about money. All being said, Alexia was actually curious as to how much her father made.
