Going For A Stroll, And Not Knowing What To Do

I, Marcus, walked along the little timber, just going for a stroll. I was wearing my purple Camp Jupiter tee shirt and spatha strapped to my back. I eventually sat down and laying my spatha in the grass next to me. I sighed, I was bored and I had no idea what to do in my free time so, I went for a walk. I fell backwards on my back and stared up at the sky. I say a person silhouette in my peripheral vision. It was probably just anther person with the same idea i had. I turned my head in their direction.

Exy smirked to himself as he walked along the Little Tiber. Ever since the Greeks and Romans formed an alliance because of the Titan Wars he was given a multitude of opportunities to cause trouble and leave his mark in all the wrong places. Fixing in beanie on his head the son of Hermes crouched down and hid a trip wire in the tall grass hear the river that was hooked to a bag of sand. Ah sand, the best thing to use when you want it to get everywhere. Chuckling to himself he stood up and walked farther along the bank. Emily told her that when she was here visiting some friends they talked about how the Tiber was magic and to not swim in it often because of some reason he chose to forget. Either way he was just beginning his mischief and sort of wanted to incorporate the waters into his pranks somehow. Seeing a roman laying in the grass he walked over. You didn't see anything. He stated, more so telling him to forget what he saw if he did see it at all.

"Oh, but on the contrary, I did what are you planing?" I asked the newcomer, pulling my self top a sitting position.
"I'm Marcus, by the way."
I pulled a couple of blades a grass from the ground, and started twisting them together.

Exy raised one of his eyebrows and mentally noted that Romans were stubborn, or maybe it was just him. Either way he was not sharing his plan for anything. That sort of defeats the purpose of a prank, you said it was Marcus? Running a hand through his hair and crossing his arms in front of him as Lancelot flew in and landed on the branch next to him. The names Exy. I'm from the other camp. He added, mostly because he wasn't sure how new Marcus was to Camp Jupiter.

"It doesn't defeat the purpose of a prank, if the other person supposedly lead another person into it, and maybe help improve it." I said, I stilled wanted to continue the pranking streak I started in Germany.

"And I could care less what camp your from, I still wouldn't care if you were from the other side of the universe."

Exy frowned. Wow what a pr!ck. He told Lancelot through their telepathy. It was very rare that he ever called anyone that now a days but the hawk simply went about cleaning his feathers and left the demigods to their own devices. Well you clearly have no idea how my siblings and I work. He stated again before moving so his friendly hawk was on his shoulder and looking directly at the roman.

He seems to be taking this the wrong way. I thought. I was also beginning to think I came off the wrong way. I heaved a sigh and stood up.

"Your right, I don't know how you and your siblings work, and I think I came off the wrong way." I said taking out a small spherical contraption and started fiddling with it. I saw the hawk, and tried not to take much notice of it, I kept glancing at it.

"Well, you don't really know how I work either." I said. Trying to provoke him into taking at least one step closer, on to the camouflaged trip wire I set up about a week earlier.
"And I apologize for maybe of coming off the wrong way."

Does it look like I want to know how you work mate? The english boy said running his first finger on Lancelot's feathers. He would be lying if he said he wanted to know more about this guy and his life, truth be told he was just here to ef up the place and lay some pranks.

"I just assumed as much." I shrugged. "I'm not exactly the best social person."
I could try to get him to shift one of his feet onto the tripwire, but that could easily tarnish and ruin a friendship before it even starts, not that we were going to be friends on course.
"Here, take this, I don't need it." I tossed him my small self rebuild able smoke bomb. "Use it for one of your pranks or something."

Exy tossed it back. I don't take things from other campers unless I do it my way. And I really don't take advice for pranks. Besides, He said reaching into his pocket and pulling out four of his own smoke bombs between his fingers.I have plenty. Putting them back in his pocket the son of Hermes crossed his arms in front of his chest again and was about to shift his feet when he heard Lancelot tell him the ground had wires on it so don't move unless he told him it was safe. Exy mentally thanked the bird and stood normally again.

I slipped the smoke bomb back in my pocket, and pulled out a small switch flipped it and slipped it back in my pocket. My prank was disabled for now I would turn it back on later.
"You can move now it's safe, from my prank." I slipped one of my feet under a wire and pulled up, nothing happened.

Exy chuckled a bit. So what in Hades do you do around here for fun, if Romans even understand such a thing. I tried to tell a girl she was top but she brushed me off as if I was a pleb. He said rather annoyed and his British accent showing more than ever. It was hard to get others to not notice it but he stopped trying a while back, seeing as so many girls thought it was 'cute' and 'sexy'.

"I don't know what the rest of the Romans do for fun, but I prank people and beat people at games in New Rome."
I heard a splash and a yelp of surprise. I turned around and saw a person swimming to shore, in the opposite direction of us. I turned to Ext and pointed.
"Did you do that?"

Exy looked around innocently. What, me? I would never. He smirked, his voice dripping with British sarcasm. His phone buzzed and began playing some techno song and the son of Hermes answered it without missing a beat. This is King...what....ok ok calm down....it can't be that bad.....ok maybe it can be....luv just do what I do, lie until you either get out of it or in deeper sh!t....later. He hung up the phone and slipped it back into his jeans as if nothing ever happened, Lancelot going back to fixing his feathers on his wing.

I nodded, "I thought so."
"Who was that? You don't have too tell me if you don't want too." I said after Exy put his phone back in his pocket.
My phone started vibrating, I checked to see the text I got. I just slipped my phone back in its pocket with out answering the text.

One of my friends at camp got herself in deep with Mr.D for a prank she pulled and phones because she was called to his office. With a track record like hers I have no idea why she called considering she pretty much pranks on the daily. He stated nonchalantly. Things like this, as well as his nights at raves with Alice and Maddy, were so ungodly common to him that even living a 'normal life' seemed un-normal. He had fallen into a pattern of flirting, drinking, partying and talking his way out of trouble as if he were a son of Loki or something, with silver tongue and all.

"Okay, I've been in a similar situation before." I said, I have but it was back in school in Germany. I also have no idea who this 'Mr.D' person is, but I'm going to take a stab at it a guess it's their camp director.

Exy nodded and answered his phone which was buzzing again. This is King...No I don't want any!...A..Alice you need to stop calling me about this....I don't care if they want to sell me anything, im not interested....No Alice...Fine, we'll go out to one tonight but that's it. I still don't feel well after yesterday. Hanging up again he groaned and ran a hand through his hair. You ever have that friend you don't want to hang with sometimes but you know they'll be upset if you don't so you do anyway? It was a stretch but still, with the amount of stress he was having to deal with recently the demigod was nearing the end of his rope.

"No, no I haven't. But I had a friend who was overly sensitive and had major anger management problems. Sometime it was a nightmare by hanging out with him, or not."
I shrugged and started drumming my fingers on my jeans.

You have no idea how much I relate to that. Exy said with a laugh and responded to a text but ignored the call that followed. Word of advice, don't ever make friends with dealers. He said with both a groan and laugh in his voice. There was always that thought about what would have happened if Alice and him never met at the rave and found out they were both demigods.

"I wasn't planning on it. Though, it probably might have some perks, and definitely some consequences." I shrugged. "But I'm still not really looking for a dealer as a friend."
My left eye started tearing up heavily. I started rubbing the wetness away. That happens sometimes.

There are perks but usually only at raves and such. I only have one dealer friend and that's plenty. Exy chuckled before leaning against a tree and tossing his cellphone in the air and catching it.

"I've never been to a rave, or anything similar to a rave before." and I don't exactly plan on attending one either. I added mentally.
The wind started picking up a little. Bringing forth a nice cool breeze. The kind of breeze you would always wish for that would last forever, on hot summer days.

Yeah well they aren't for everyone mate. As the breeze continued Exy got an ingenious idea before pointing at Marcus. Would you like to come hang out with some of my friends and I at a bonfire? Just some bevs and a fun time. Feel free to bring your mates. He offered. He knew for sure that Andy, the Duchannes siblings and even Andromeda would be more than happy to go.

"Sure, why not." Usually, people don't invite other people to a event type thing when they first meet, but I could care less.
"I probably won't bring anyone, all my mates are back in Germany." I shrugged. "But I might find somebody that'll want to go."
