Beach Night Paradise

OOC: Right after I finished reading that post, my own phone buzzed. It was quite weird.

BIC: Maddy finished her glass too and poured herself some more. Nothing's better than a good glass of wine.

"Who's Miss QT?" she asked once her brain could make sense of the letters glowing on his phone screen.

Exy pressed his thumb onto the button to scan his finger in and read the text before rolling his eyes and responding, practically tossing the phone into the basket to break it. One of my mates back home believes that being single is a crime so he pretty much gives out my number to girls or puts them in my phone as well. I'm assuming this is one of the ones he put in there. He frowned before laying on the blanket and lacing his fingers behind his head to look at the sky. It was astounding to him as to just how fast his old mates could ruin an evening without even trying.

Maddy looked at him for a moment, then resumed eating. She was about to argue how technically, Exy wasn't exactly single, but she couldn't do that without implying that they were dating. Maddy didn't know what they were... all she knew was that when he was around, she had this little tremor in the pit of her stomach. When the little green dot popped up next to his name on Facebook, she always smiled. At night, she often thought about all the stupid little conversations they had and just replayed them for a moment. All the times they acted like idiots. Their inside jokes. The way they snuck away to party in New York. His crooked grin. His eyes. The way he looked in the arena, the other day.

Maddy quickly took a sip of wine then turned to Exy with a smirk. "Call him."

Funny story actually. He's in juvenile detention for numerous accounts of shop lifting. Exy didn't have the best of friends when he was living in the UK but here it wasn't much better. He was close friends a druggie and a dealer at that. The teen noticed Maddy looking at him a little oddly when he said he was single and that made him slightly happy knowing that there was clearly something between the two of them. Madeline, can I ask you something? He asked drawing out her full name like he usually did to tease her.

She sighed, then chuckled. "Yes, Exy Garfield Kingsman?" Maddy knew his middle name was Gary, but she felt Garfield suited him better.

Why did you seem to make a face when I said I was single? He asked without looking away from the stars. There were plenty of reasons for her to make a face at the notion but there was only one he wished to know, and he prayed to Zeus it was the one she would give him.

"What? I made a face?" Maddy immediately said. She was being as innocent outside as she could but inside she went, sh!t. Sh!t. Sh!t. What did I do this time?

Exy nodded and chuckled before turning his head in his hands to look at her. In the moonlight, there was nothing he wouldn't give for it to stay this way forever; the two of them, good food, expensive wine and nothing but the vast night sky. It could have been something from a movie but thankfully, at least he hoped, everything was real.

"I can't recall making a face...," Maddy said, then looked up at the night sky. There was no point arguing. She didn't know where she stood: Miles and her hadn't talked for ages, he was currently back in Ireland so they were taking a break. Between him and Exy, she couldn't make up her mind.

Eventually, she turned to look at him. "I just.... really like you, Kingsman," she whispered, looking up at the stars.

Nothing but happiness could explain how Exy felt, even if only a half smile crept across his face. C'mere. He said unlacing his hands and holding out out on the ground as an invitation for her to lay next to him.

She laid down next to him, curling up in his arms whilst looking up at the starry sky. His body was warm, smelled of cedar and sand. Her pulse quickened in her throat, making her smile softly. Suddenly she leaned up. "Watch out! Garlic kiss!" And kissed him full on the mouth.

Exy laughed a little into the kiss but leaned into the kiss with his one hand on the small of her back. He truly was falling for Madeline every time they talked, sometimes it felt like he was even seeing her for the first time all over again.

Her mouth tasted of garlic, his mouth tasted of garlic. Maddy indulged in the kiss for a moment before pulling away, grinning, then booping his nose with her own. "Dork."

I try my best sometimes. He said softly so it would stay between the two of them. Giving her another quick kiss he motioned for her to lay next to him like before.

Maddy looked up at the darkness above, just laying next to Exy. Only their legs were touching. Lacing her hands behind her head, she locked her eyes on a cluster of stars.

"What is something you've never done before that you really wanna do?" she asked out of the blue.

I don't know really. I guess I want to go back and actually do something with my life. I was going to go into the Marines before this whole Demigod thing happened. He admitted. Truth be told, the only thing he had ever done in his life was steal and get high. He wished he had done more, had the time to do more. But everyone knew the life of a demigod was short.

"The Marines?" Maddy found that weird for some reason. She couldn't really imagine Exy in the army, he was too much a partier to take things so seriously.
Honestly, she didn't quite know how to reply when he said he wanted to do something with his life. She was there, actress since she was a tween, she had done a number of movies, was starring in a popular TV show that had aired another season just a month ago, she pretty much had her whole life figured out already. And she was barely seventeen.

"Okay, what do you wanna do most?" Maddy asked. She wasn't one for serious discussions, but she wanted to help Exy. After all, she had a good bunch of connections she could use in his favour, people in the movie industry and show business.

What do I want to do most? Exy said with a sigh in his voice. A few moments of silence passed before the demigod finally spoke again. I think I want to either try acting in a movie, like one of those classic spy movies, or travel the world.

Maddy nodded slowly. "I could arrange something for you," she told him, "talk to my manager, my last director."

It's fine. I wont be any good at it but it's something I like to imagine I can do. He chuckled before placing a kiss on Maddy's temple.

"Well you won't know if you never try," Maddy told him with a cocked eyebrow.

You really seem to want me to try this. He smiled a little before turning his head to face her while still laying on his back.

"Of course," she said. "A, it's my career, so I know my sh!t and can help you out. B, imagine if we starred in a movie together at some point."

She smirked, looking at him.
