Age:14
Date of Birth:July 5th
Place of Birth:a hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Hometown/Last Residence:A small house in the suburban area of Cleveland, Ohio.
Race/ethnicity:Marie is mostly Polish and German with a bit of Scottish.
Accent:She has a Midwestern accent. It's only noticeable if you listen to her a lot, but if you just hear her voice once you wouldn't notice it.
Skin Tone:She is a tan white.
Eye Color:A copper brown that sparkles in the light but is mystifying in the dark.
Hair Color:a natural dirty blonde
Hair Length:Her hair goes an inch past her shoulders and is always parted in the middle. It has slight waves and is pretty easy to brush. She always leaves it down.
Height:5'7"
Weight:132
Body Type:Marie has large shoulders and hips. Her arms are average sized, not too big or small. Her legs are muscular and rather large. She has a little bit of a tummy but nothing too bad.
Appearance:The face of her shape is a wide oval. She has a large nose, medium sized lips, and medium sized eyes. She has a mask of freckles that go under her eyes and bridge if her nose. Marie will put a tiny bit of makeup on like lip gloss, mascara and maybe some eyeliner. But if she is playing capture the flag or other sweating activities then she won't wear any makeup. She always wears black, doesn't matter what the occasion is. Though she will sometimes wear clothes that have a white pattern or white letters. She tries to have that I don't really care what I look like vibe which she easily accomplishes.
Weapon:Her weapon is a 4'6" spear with a celestial bronze point. The spear itself is 4 feet and made out of oak. The point is 6 inches and is so sharp that one tiny prick with that will cause lots of blood.
Armor:She has a celestial bronze helmet with a piece in the front middle that goes down the bridge of her nose and ends a little bit above her nose. There's a black Mohawk piece that goes down the middle of her helmet. She also wears a celestial bronze chest piece with two straps on the shoulder and one in the back. But she hardly wears armor because she hates to physically fight, verbally fighting is so much more fun.
Pet(s):At home, she owns a corn snake named Raphael. He is about 4 years old.
Skills/Talents:Even though Marie is tall she can easily hide and disappear. If someone needs to find her but she doesn't want to be found she won't be. She is pretty good at telling when people are lying, thanks to her father. She does this by noticing details like glancing or shifting, but she is only 75% right. Her father taught her this. She also plays the saxophone in her school band. She's one of the best and usually has a group solo in every piece they play.
Flaws: Marie is extremely awkward and knows it. People will sometimes become awkward because of this or just laugh at her. She is also anti-social and doesn't have many friends. She wishes to have more friends but she hates talking to others and going to public places. She also takes everything personally. You scooted an inch away from her. She'll think you hate her. You opened her text and didn't reply. You better look out, a lot of chaos will happen to you in the next week. Her physical flaw is her large nose. If she just looks at it, she doesn't mind it. But when she was younger kids would often tease her about how it was large and made her look like a clown. She also has slightly crooked teeth and hates it. Her dad won't buy her braces because he's pretty cheap.
Strengths: When you finally talk to her and get past the awkwardness she's a great listener. She never interrupts and makes you feel like you're important. She has a great memory too, and will remember almost everything. It's not considered photogenic, though.
Weaknesses:Marie has a horrible endurance and isn't able to run that far. When she's running she'll need to take a breather or go at a slow pace. She also has a mild case of dyslexia when the words seem to move on the page. But if she concentrates she can read them with ease.
Likes:The band Panic! at the Disco, s'mores, relaxing at the pool, and playing board games
Dislikes: horse flies, lip sync apps, socks with sandals, mimes, and neon colors
Fears:She has a fear of being isolated from everyone she cares about.
Personality:Marie is that person at first glance that you think has everything under control, is pretty chill, and is just too cool to talk to you. Well, she might look like that but is she totally the opposite. She is constantly messing everything up, her relationship with her dad, her school work, training, even her own life. She hates that a lot and wishes she could fix all of it. But when she tries she messes up even more. That leads to freaking out and making a big deal about everything. Especially to her father who she thinks blaming everything on him will help the situation. It doesn't. She always tries to find someone to blame which ruins relationships with her father and friends even more. But Marie does have motivation. If she sets her mind to something she will achieve it. No matter what it takes. She also doesn't take crap from people like lying or being petty. She'll make a big deal out of it. Finally, Marie is an open book. Once you start to open up, she'll tell you almost all her secrets.
Abilities:N/A
Powers:Marie can cause two people to start to fight and make chaos. She does this by looking at the two people she wants to fight with each other. They have to be talking at the time or if they're not talking, touching, and the farthest she can be away from them is 10 feet(3 meters) from any direction. She then starts staring directly at them for a minute without blinking. It can happen in two ways either one person says something the other doesn't like or they remember something that that person did to them in the past. It takes 2 posts to happen, lasts 4 posts, and needs a 6 post cool down. She can do this 3 times in topic but needs a 6 post cool down interval. She has to wait for 10 posts to do it with the same two people. It can be blocked by more peaceful campers or children of peaceful Gods. It can also be blocked with strong will power. It doesn't work on Gods. It is easier for this to happen with children of war gods, Athena, and Aphrodite.
Social Status: Marie doesn't have any foes or any friends. Not many people know who she is or really care about her. She has a couple of acquaintances in the war god cabin. She wants to make some real friends, and not fight with them all the time.
Summer or Year Rounder: Summer rounder for sure. Her dad would never let her be gone all year round.
Years at Camp: this will be her second year
Life Before Camp: Owen Caswell was a 27-year-old officer and interrogator at the police station. He was young, fit, and smart. With dark brown hair always in gel and light brown eyes. He was popular with his colleagues and everybody knew he was the best at his job. Owen was the best interrogator the station has ever seen. He could get whatever information from anyone he wanted. He could make chaos in the minds. With the way, he talked and moved. How he could easily figure out if it was the truth or lie.
He was unmarried and the longest he dated someone was 7 months. He wasn't ever interested in getting married or having kids. He was busy with his job and spending Friday nights at the club. He caught Eris's eye and she wanted to talk with him. She went to the same club as Owen under the name Lily Day. They started to talk about his job and her fake job as a police officer at the station a town over. Owen started to fall in love with her even though they only knew each other for 3 hours. He invited her over to his house and they spent night talking and laughing. When he woke up she was gone. Owen was extremely confused.
9 months later he heard a loud knocking on his front door. Owen opened the door surprised to see a baby girl in a gold basket on his front step. She looked not much older than 2 days old. He knew right away that it was Lily's daughter. He juggled between raising Marie and focusing on his job. When he was at his job the older lady next door took care of her. When Marie was about 9 they started to fight often. Owen was strict and Marie wanted to explore the city. Marie began to become antisocial from not much activity and always being shut off from her father. They went on a few trips but Marie was always distant during them.
During the last days of Marie's 6th-grade year, a short peppy man began helping the gym teacher during gym class. He would help the coach with simple activities like picking up basketballs and stacking cones. The man always was close to Marie. Helping her when she was struggling and teaching her ways to get faster. They never worked. One day he told the class that his name was Rusty and he was a counselor at a police training camp and passed a brochure around. The brochure was fake and the pictures and information were based on other camps. He also said that if you turn a form into him you could go there for free. Marie desperately wanting to take a break from her father, took the form and truthfully answered all the questions. Of course, she got picked and was to leave the day school got out.
Marie's father was skeptical at first. Double checking all of Rusty's information. He finally agreed that this camp was trustworthy and even let Rusty drive her there.
Barely even out of the city a small cyclops attacked them. He was weak and had no backup. Rusty quickly stepped on the gas, going past the speed limit. Zooming past the nature life on the empty road. Marie was scared. What was that behind her? Why was Rusty driving so fast? The car slowly decelerated until it reached the speed limit again. Rusty nervously checked behind him and smiled.
Rusty decided he needed to tell Marie everything she needed to know about her demigod life. She didn't believe him at first but as soon as they pulled into the camp, she did.
Role-playing Example: I stepped out of Rusty's cramped car and began to stretch my legs.
"We have a mile walk to do, to get to the camp," Rusty told me. Looking even shorter than he did in the car.
"Why that long?" I whined. Just wanting to go inside a cabin and sleep.
"So that monsters can't track us down from our cars," he informed me. We started our walk. I had to admit, I was astounded by all the nature. The only nature I saw was suburb parks. This was great. Birds chirped, squirrels scampered. Rusty seemed to be in peace too. His baseball cap was skewed to the side so you could see his right horn. I was about to tell him, but there was no mortal around to see. But I didn't want to interrupt the peacefulness.
Notes: she always burns, even if she puts 20 layers of sunscreen on and she has the nervous habit of cracking her knuckles.
