I let out a choked cry of pain as I stumbled back, the wind knocked out of my lungs-- a goddamn phenomenon. Goddammit, my ribs hurt. I threw myself at David, throwing punches with all my might at his face and torso.

I skipped out into the courtyard and sat down in the grass, enjoying the nice weather on the first day of Spring. I took my sketchpad out of my bag, and started to draw the small purple flowers that were starting to bloom a few feet away.
