I stumbled in, clenching and unclenching my fist. By arm gel like it was on fire. I didn't know why, but I thought it best not to go to the infirmary to bother someone. So I just didn't think about it. I wasn't used to all these people. They made me panicky. So I got a book about the Vietnam war and sat in a corner not near a large group of people.

I walked into the library with Terron slithering across my shoulders. He glanced around the library, but he stopped at the nonfiction section, which seemed like an order to go forth. I walked over to the nonfiction section, even though I wasn't a bit fan of things like biographies and crap. I scanned the rows of books -- planes, helicopters, a biography of Sally Ride and Isaac Newton. Great people, I guess, but I wasn't interested in their biographies.

I continued to read. Odd enough, I found a whole chapter about war heroes, and one of them was me. Apparently they built a monument in washington DC. I guess my name was on it. Some of my old buddies too.

I grumbled to myself inaudibly as I glanced at another nonfiction section about the history of Greek civilization -- oh yeah, of course they'd have a whole section for that. Greeks. I glanced around and found a book about Egyptian mythology, which appeared a little dusty. Eugh. I pulled it out gingerly and opened it to a random page -- one about Ra. We could never escape him.

I grit my teeth and rubbed the back of my neck. Ow ow ow. I searched through the book for something about weapons. I mean, I knew first hand what damage those weapons could do. But what about long term? I shifted uncomfortably.

Ra was a sun god, he was the king of the gods until Osiris took over, blah blah blah... I rolled my eyes and flipped the page. There was Osiris, looking all high and mighty. I was only a fan of him, Anubis, and my dad, maybe even Sekhmet; otherwise, the other gods could go rot in the Duat for all I cared.
