Wandering around the Library

Aside from Stephen's sore wrist, he was fine.
"First time I actually won in a fight and all I was trying to do was help him snap out of his hallucination."

"That's nice." Dawn told him, still blushing. "Didn't you win against any monsters?" She asked him.

Stephen smiles, "That's different. I have to retaliate."

Dawn chuckled a little. "Y'know how that guy said that you were on a date. Definately not true."

Stephen looked down, "Right... Definetly not true." He sounded just a little bit disappointed

"You okay?" Dawn asked him. He sounded a little bit disappointed once she said that.

Stephen smiles, "Yeah, I'm fine."

Dawn stood up and put her book back. She sat back down on the couch and looked up onto the roof. She also wished this was a date but it isn't.

Stephen looked for a subject to talk about.
"So, how long have you been helping out around the library?"

"A few months now. Two other librarians help me. Achaylia, Daughter of Dionysus and Oblivious, Son of Thanatos." Dawn replied.

Stephen nods, listening.
"Do you get crazy people around here often?"

"Nope, not really. Nor, do I want to." Dawn told him.

"Sorry for the commotion, I just wanted to help the poor kid." He apologizes

Dawn smiled at his apology. "It's totally fine." She told him.

Stephen puts his book back on the shelf.

Dawn walked up to him. "You seemed disappointed when I said this wasn't a date. Why?"

Stephen almost made a stack of books fell at that question.
"I... Have no idea of what you're talking about."

Dawn held the books quickly. "You do, Stephen." Dawn told him.

Stephen scratches his neck.
What now? I'm not good at talking to girls, let alone date.

Dawn smiled at him. She was trying to encourage him to tell her the truth. She didn't like liars.

"I just thought... We were.." He had no way of saying it.
"I like you." Stephen says it simply

There was a moment of silence. "I like you too." She told him.

Stephen leaned on a bookshelf.
Smooth move. He thought to himself.
Some books fell on him.
