Flaws: Rarely takes anything seriously, daydreams frequently, falls
asleep easily, is afraid of the dark, is self-absorbed, but only in the way that she’s more interested in arbitrary things than the world around her.

Powers: Can put people to sleep with her music (only lasts while she
plays, can be resisted), Can go into a trance and “project” her
sleeping mind anywhere in the world (can only do it once a day and for
only 15 minutes)

Life Before CHB*: Moth’s mother, Amelia Tanglewood, was a scientist
who studied sleep and the meaning of dreams. When Moth was born,
Morpheus told Amelia about her daughter’s ability to ‘project’
herself. Amelia knew that her colleagues at the lab would want to
study Moth if they found out, so she kept her daughter hidden. On her
eighth birthday, however, Moth was discovered and kidnapped by the
other scientists. For the next five years, Moth was studied in hopes
of finding out how she did it, to no avail. Finally, the scientists
got fed up and decided to dissect her brain. Just before she was put
on the operating table, she was claimed. The scientists scattered, and
Moth ran for her life. She eventually made it to Camp Half-Blood,
because she kept having dreams about it. Once there, she created a
mental block, and now has no memory of her life before CHB.

RP Example: Moth was dreaming again. She was floating through a cloud of fog. When the fog emerged, she was in a small room. This was the room of her imagination. It was a small library with all sorts of odds and ends in it. Sometimes famous people appeared there. This time it was Albert Einstein she saw. "Hello Mr. Einstein." Moth said dreamily. The white-haired physicist looked up for his work and grinned. "Meg! It has been so long since you visited me last." Moth smiled. "i'm sorry, Mr. Einstien. I've been very busy, you know. There are so many nice people at this camp. I just wish I remembered why I came here . . ."

Any notes about your characters: Her hair grows at a rate of an inch per week, she loves the light and moths are attracted to her (thus the nickname Moth) and her ram Fleecy only drinks Earl Grey Tea. She also has a tree house in the woods where she shears Fleecy, spins his wool, and weaves it on a large loom.

How many times a day can she put people to sleep, and how long at most? When she projects her mind, what can she show? Are the images not solid?

Thirty minutes while she plays, then it starts to wear off. It happens every time she plays, but only if the character who hears the music is very distracted. I didn't describe the "projecting" thing very well, what I meant was that she can visit any place, time or person in her dreams. the person can't hear or see her. Its like controling your dreams, but she can control them to see what's happening in the world right then. Sorry, I forgot about the RP example. I'll edit that in.

Hmmm . . . she can only see it if it happens right then, and she can only choose one destination a day. If the people there sense her, they can block her out.

Well... how would people sense her?

Some demigods are able to sense her prescence, usually children of Hecate or Morpheus. An oracle could sense her presence, as could an immortal demigod, god, or child of a titan.

So just the world, right? Not Olympus or the Underworld? How does she choose what to see?

30 minutes for her sleeping power may be a bit too much. I don't think you answered my question about how many times a day she can put people to sleep.

Alright, how about ten minutes? I did say that it happens everytime she plays, but the person who hears it has to be very distracted. The same person can only be put to sleep once a day. Yes, just the world. She chooses what to see by either thinking of a place, or if a powerful demigod or god decided to dip into her mind and guide her to a place.

10 minutes works, but she needs a number of times per day in general.

Eyes: Blood red. Heavily lidded, but scarily intense-looking

Hair: Long, pitch black, slightly wavy. Is soft to the touch, but is also thick and literally impossible to run a comb through

Height: 5’ 9”

Body Type: Thin and tall, long limbed. Wiry and strong, but doesn’t look it.

Skin Color: Unnaturally pale. In bright light, her veins show through darker and more prominently then a normal persons’ would.

God Parent: Melinoe

Mortal Parent: Nathan White

Country of Origin: U.S.A, although her father comes from the Scottish/English border

Pets: None, but she gets along famously with hellhounds

Talents: Can play the bass and guitar very well, is good and writing songs, is okay at singing, gets along well with hellhounds (sort of like Percy Jackson’s horse thing, but without the mental connection), very clever, good at swordplay, talented at tactical stuff, and passable at parkour. A vicious fighter and battle opponent.

Weapon**: Two stygian iron swords, an SI long knife, and five CB daggers (the latter are useable for both throwing and melee). A regular, mortal Swiss Army Knife with tons of gadgets used for self-defense in the mortal world and its usefulness

Flaws: Slightly insane, hell-bent on revenge, very, very angry, untrustworthy, and distrusting. Will do anything to hunt down and kill her family’s murderers. Gets night terrors and intense migraines. Thinks she has an alter-ego, ‘imaginary friend’ type called Lilith who she talks to like that guy in ‘Psycho’, doing the voice for her and everything.

Powers (must relate to god parent; optional):
- Can shadow travel once a day, very inaccurately, and only within an area the size of New Jersey from where she stands. If she tries to exceed these limits, she will pass out and be bedridden for a few days.
- Can summon one ghost a week for fifteen minutes (except the ghosts of her family. Melinoe won’t let her summon them because they would open old wounds and likely send Maeve’s sanity completely over the edge). The ghosts can talk to her, but they can only move ten paces away from where they were summoned, and they dissolve immediately if living flesh passes through them. With a lot of training, she could exceed the limit of ghosts summoned to once a day rather than once a week, but frankly, until her family’s murderers are caught and killed, she’s far to busy to try anything like that.
Using her powers tires her immensly

Life Before CHB*: Nathan White was engaged to a woman named Kim when he caught Melinoe’s eye, so the goddess played a Zeus and magically disguised herself as his fiancé (and later wife) while the two mortals were together. The first child Nathan had was a mortal boy named Caspian, the second was Maeve, the third was another demigod (a boy this time), Garth, and the fourth was a mortal girl named Amata. Nathan never lived to find out about Maeve and Garth’s linage, but Kim had always had a feeling that they weren’t her own. Nevertheless, the four children and two parents all lived happily in their large colonial house in Connecticut.
Nathan White was a well-intentioned person, but dissatisfied with his job as an antiques dealer. He could see through the Mist, and was always interested in that side of the world, so eventually he made some deals with a full-grown son of Loki concerning some magical artifacts. Because of circumstances that are unknown, Nathan couldn’t uphold his side of one of the deals, and as a result the son of Loki gathered his minions (yes, he was powerful and well-connected enough to have minions) to attack the household. It was a total massacre. Kim and Nathan were tortured and killed, and Garth, Amata, and Caspian were kidnapped and taken a few miles away before being murdered. Maeve herself had her leg broken so she couldn’t follow them when they kidnapped the others, but she witnessed the killing of her parents. She was rescued by police officers who came to the scene, and the remaining minions were arrested (luckily, they were mortals). The experience nearly shattered Maeve’s mind, and as soon as her leg was healed, she ran away from the hospital where she was being kept and began to train vigorously so she could have revenge. She made her way to Camp Half-Blood after an unsuccessful attack on the son of Loki’s hideout and has been there ever since.

RP Example*: Maeve walked silently behind the three Lastrygonians. It had been three hours since she had first spotted them, and she was getting tired of tracking them. Surprisingly, they were fast for their size, and it took a great effort for Maeve to follow them. But now, Maeve was ready. She had her hand on her swords and was primed to slit the nearest one’s throat. Just a little bit closer and . . . WHAM! A fist smacked into the back of her skull and all went dark.

Maeve woke up with a curious tingling feeling in her arms. Figuring that they must be asleep, she tried to move them, but to her surprise, they were bound to a tree. Maeve growled in annoyance, but grabbed her knife from the hidden sheath in her boot, and with some difficulty, slit the ropes. Then she left to exact her revenge on the giants . . .

I don't think we'd let her summon hellhounds.

So, when she begins to concentrate on training her powers more, will she be able to summon 1 ghost a day instead of once a week?

Yes, but it will take an incredible amount of training and disipline. As she got better, it would exceed to twice a week, three times a week, and so on. It would take at least a year of training once a day, every day to accomplish this.
