A Place to be Alone

i scowled, "i do not think of myself as lower than any one, i just feel i need someone to further my abilities in interacting with humans, me and sirene just call it being someone's pet, since it sounds normal to her."

sirene nodded.

"aye, that it is child, that it is. but as we go along, and as people hear our story, people understand what tis like to be on both sides." sirene said in her wise voice.

i then said "people offer me knowledge, and in return, i offer them great protection. i will give my life to keep my "master" alive and well. it is like the bond that some dogs have with their masters."

i laughed, "im not very wise at all. i just know what to say. i am only twelve, haha"

sirene said "thank you, you are very kind."

i laughed slightly saying "well, i dont have life experience to use for being wise. i actually only have 3 years life experience at this time right now."

sirene said "aye, he has a point there young zero. you are wise, but only because you were brought up wise. you were brought up to wield the blade, and to fend for your self. you, unlike many others here, have something special. you still have your mother with you, even though i am not your true mother."

"that's awful! i wonder if i was too." i said, starting to think about how bad my life might have been.

sirene quickly snapped, "do not think like that young zero. you know better. save the sulking for another time. and dear john, that is very sad, i wish maybe i could have helped you as i helped young zero, maybe not the same way, but at least made life a lot better than a terrible nunnery."

sirene growled slightly "such things should never happen to a child. i have torn the face off people better than that."

i said "calm yourself sirene, you are showing your anger again. we cant have that now."

"well, that is good. and you know, if you ever require someone to hang out with, or someone to talk to, we are always here." i said.

sirene then said "the wise dog has said before, know your friends and know that they will always be there for you when you need them."

"crystal?" sirene asked
