Life Before CHB*: He was in and out of the same school. He was sometimes homeschooled. His dad was never home. His mom was always working. He has never been anywhere out of his state. He thinks his mom is overly protective. He was attacked by a telkhine in his school and was rescued by his best friend john who turns out to be a satyr. His friend takes him to CHB where he meets Chiron and the rest of the campers.

Right. Please change that tense. Also, you say he walks into camp and then that he was just claimed. Usually that takes like a week (if I remember correctly) of being in Camp in the books. Then you say that "they say 5" and I'd like to point out you can't control another person's character. That last thing I said is just a tip/reminder.
