Eva Boches-Hyatt circled around the forest, trying to avoid anything that could fall out of a tree. She didn't even remember why she was out in this gross forset anyway. Oh right, shooting practice. Evanna hated weapons like any reasonable person. But no, she needed to learn how to use a dingy thing so she can pass some stupid class. When is she ever gong to use a weapon in real life? Never. SHe is not going out to fight any cruddy war or anything grusome like that. Once she turns 19, she is out of this freak show.

But for now, Eva needs to pass all of her dumb classes. Eva didn't even know what half of these weapons layed before her are. All she knew was a sword and a bow. But there were millions of different swords and bows infrnt of her. Why did people make all of these weapons so complicated? If it was up to her, you would just use one sword and then go home. Easy enough.

Well, well. Look who decided to appear with nothing but building on their mind. No one other than good ol' Adan Lightfoot with a screwdriver in his hand, a hammer at his belt, a pocket full of screws, and an old fashioned lantern dangling from his mouth.

Adan hadn't meant to go out into the woods today; it was supposed to be his off day. His mind, on the other hand, had a slight addiction to his projects that he left around out here. He marched up to the log of a fallen tree and lifted it to reveal an iron-and-wood collapsible worktable complete with drawers. Adan unfolded the piece of work and sat down at a nearby stump that he used as a stool.

He studied the blueprints for his uncompleted project, and began pulling parts from the many drawers. Springs, wires, washers: everything but a plastic housing. Cursing under his breath, Adan took the leap of looking up...and saw that he was not as alone out here as he had thought.

"Uh...Hello." He said in his deep voice, looking more or less like an ax-murderer.

Evanna jumped, startled by the other voice. Great, now someone gets to see her fail. She turned around facing the boy. "Hi." She replied slowly. Evanna studied him, he was..working. Ew, work. Evanna has never really worked a day in her life. She normally got other campers to do her chores most of the time. Expecially stable cleaning, gross.

Adan tapped nervously on the table. He wasn't very good with communicating with other living organisms, so maybe he could joke his way out of this like he always did.

"I take it you're not here to admire the fluffy squirrels?" He asked with a faint chuckle. His hands fiddled with one of the wires.

Eva plastered a smile on her face. "Not really." Honestly, she didn't even like squirrels. They're rabbied animals that love nuts.No. She moved her red hair out of her eyes, "I have to practice." Eva turned around and pulled out one of the bigger swords and showed it to him. She was dangling it from the end of the hilt. She watched at it swung around, until it fell and poked a hole into the dirt. Whoops.

Adan tried not to laugh at the girl. Wow, she sucked at handling weapons. He stood up to retrieve the fallen sword, wiped it clean with the bottom of his shirt, and examined it. It was a pretty, for sure. A classic 24 BC with a furnished hilt gleaming bronze. It was nearly perfect.

So Adan snapped the blade from the hilt.

Eva pouted. Like really? Eva needed that sword thingy so she can pass the dumb class and move on from this petty Camp. Evanna put her hands on her hips, frowning at the boy. But in reality, she didn't even care. It was just a weapon. A used, disgusting weapon used for killing people and junk like that.

The boy carried the separate pieces to his table and began to work, using the fire from his torch to aid him. When he was done, the sword looked as good as new with the new hilt with the perfect grip for the girl's hand. He felt its weight (very light for him, but perfect for Miss FrooFroo) then handed it to the girl again.

"Try this. Maybe it will help."

Eva took the sword gingerly, "Um." She blurted. She didn't understand why he had to go and change the whole sword."Thanks I guess." Eva finnished.

Eva walked over behind him. She watched carefully staring at the instrument. "What are you making?" She asked. She bit into her cheek studying it closely. She flipped more of the loose strands of hair out of her face.

"Something that will bend the laws of science." Adan sighed as he made a few adjustments here and there.

The inner wiring and gears whirred, but they still needed a housing. Cursing, Adan dug through his drawers in such of one, but came up empty handed. He should've been prepared! See, this is why - what was that? Adan looked to his left at a chipmunk scurrying around and chuckled. What was he thinking about again?

"Oh please." Eva snorted. "You are not going to change the laws of science. Excpecially if you're trying to add or take away any kind of energy. That's just going against everything in the Law of Conservation of Energy. The only thing you're going to change is the type of energy it is." The daughter of Anteros blinked, realizing what she just said was acutally intelligent. Damn her 4.8 GPA and all around geniusness."I mean.." Eva rolled her eyes at herself. Why must she do these things. Gods.

"I simply said bend." Adan mused. Ah, so this girl was actually smart? Whoa. "Not change any laws, but broaden. Make things simpler to comprehend by revealing a new level of spastic brain movement. It only triggers the parts of the brain the causes consciousness, simply opening a path for the subconscious to reveal itself long enough for me to record my findings and build something greater."

Eva crossed her arms over her chest. "Whatever." She should've just left right then and there. She can't have this boy blurting out to everyone what she had said. Oh well, she can smile through this. Eva put on her pretty smile and sat down onto the dirt. Ugh, she's getting her dark wash jeans in the filfthy mud. And that doesn't even come out that well. Just her luck.

Adan made a face at the sudden change in character. Was this girl alright in the thinker? With a raised eyebrow, Adan studied her with interest, as if she were another experiment.

Adan smiled, satisfied that his intense look had come in handy. He shrugged and continued his wiring with a cheerful hum.

"I'm sorry. I left my Kodak in the cabin." He smirked just before a field mouse caught his attention.

Adan chuckled and went back to attempting to build a housing out of a different substance. This wood just wasn't that flexible. Maybe if he could scale a tree he could get those flimsy branches at the top. But...His leg wouldn't allow it. His limp was a barrier restricting him from getting his work finished. Sometimes he just felt so...weak.

"No." She said. But in real honesty, Evanna was amused by his attemped of juggling. Through her straight face, a smile cracked between her perfectly moistured lips. The daughter of mutual love tride to hide her laugh, but it was hard. She knew better than to laugh. The Aphrodite kids told her not to laugh at the lower class, er, Hepheatus. She guessed they were still sore about the Charlie Silena thing.

But in her mind it didn't matter. Maybe it was because Evanna's mother wasn't Aphrodite. And her father was the God who made people love in return. She figured he would've been a nice guy when she met him. If she ever met him that is. In her three years at being at Camp, Eva would go to Olympus and see if her father was there. But why would a minor god even be there. He was one of Aphrodite's cupidey things, so Eva always figured he'd be with Aphrodite. But of course she was wrong.
