The Deadly Forest

Jadyn laughed. "I didn't know there was access to the internet here at all." She looked down at her black and gold watch that was covering a slim part of her pink Pac-Man ghost tattoo. As soon as she saw the time, her eyes bulged. It was a quarter to 10:00- aka, wayyyyy later than she thought it was. "Crap," She muttered. She picked up her sketchbook- the one that had gone down with her when she had fallen- off the ground, and brushed the dirt off, the sweet scent of fresh earth filling the air around her. "Well, it was very nice meeting you, Adam." She said, wearing a regretful smile.

Jadyn smiled softly, and a warmth that started from where his lips touched her hand spread throughout her. She stood up, and kissed his cheek- nothing more than her lips brushing his skin. She looked him in the eyes, and held out her pinkie. "Promise me something." She said. "Promise me that this won't be the last time I'll see you." And deep in her heart, she knew it wasn't going to be. A light wind pushed her hair into her eyes, and she pushed it away with her free hand.

Jadyn watched him walk back into the forest for a heartbeat. Then, ever so quickly, she spun around on her heel, and ran towards the creek, pushing dancing spirits out of the way. She skipped over the rocks, and bolted towards her cabin. And for the first time, she didn't even care that she hadn't drawn anything.

Charlotte walked into the forest with every breath there was a deep growl. She climbed the nearest tree and sat on a branch. "I hate people at this camp." She crossed her arms and sighed. "One time...just one time I wanna meet somebody who is nice and caring."

Matt ran into the woods, fuming about how crappy his life was getting. He was half hoping to meet that idiot Ares kid so he could get proper revenge. Let's face it, he was not happy.

Charlotte heard a twig snap and she immediately looked down at the suspect. "Ugh not you." She growled with displeasure and threw a knife at him.

Matt was calmly plotting revenge when a knife came flying at him. Luckily for the son of Demeter, it didn't hit him. It almost seemed like the fates were conspiring against him.

Matt instictively looked up, where he saw Charlotte perched in a tree, and she looked furious. No matter, he felt the same. Although he had only two knives, he threw one right back at her.

Charlotte quickly jumped up and dodged the knife, her jaw dropped. "You are a jerk huh?" She growled and reached into her pack, picking up throwing stars.

"A jerk? You threw the knife first." He said, getting angrier than he already was. He hoped that she fell out of the stupid tree when trying to murder him.

Matt grabbed her knife, along with his other one, and aimed for her hand.Specifically the one with the bag.

"Yeah your the jerk." Charlotte glared at him with her deep green eyes. She jumped up on a higher branch and threw two throwing stars at him.

Matt's knife hit the tree and quivered. He ran to retrieve it, luckily missing the throwing stars. Instead of rationally considering his options, he ran and started climbing the tree.

"Bad choice." Charlotte threw three more stars at him.

Ooc: Oh.wow. Throwing stars are very interesting weapons.

Bic:
The star missed him completely, hitting the ground. The second star would have hit his face, had he not moved his arm to block him. The end result was quite a nasty cut in his forearm, which he ignored. The third star was epically deflected with heis r last remaining knife. Without quite thinking, he aimed(rather poorly) and threw his last weapon.

Charlotte dodged and laughed. "You can't hit me." She ran at him with her knife raised.

Ooc: Wait, aren't they in a trre?

Bic: Matt froze right then. He had no weapons, and no hope of survival.

Ooc: yeah she's very agile

Bic: Charlotte tried to kick him out of the tree.

Matt suddenly came back to life and dodged Charlotte's kick. This, while successful in it's intent, failed ultimately as he fell out of the tree anyway.

Charlotte laughed and jumped down from the tree, glaring at Matt.

Matt tried to pull himself to his feet, but he had fallen badly on his leg. He gave up on getting up at this point, since his leg was not going to cooperate. He did have one last hope, for he saw one of the knives imbedded in the ground, just in reach.

Moving very slowly, he grasped the knife. Now he was defended, despite the fact he totally was dead unless she snapped out of her psycho mood.

Charlotte stood over him, rage in her eyes. "Give up?" She held her knife by her side in case of a quick attack.

Matt was lying on the ground with a broken leg, completely at the mercy of this girl and she had the nerve to gloat.

"I don't think so." He said, gritting his teeth. This did nothing for the pain, but it was very dramatic.

He had one option: throw his only knife. From the way she was standing, he should get a direct hit. He carefully grasped the hilt and threw.

Charlotte tried to dodge the knife but, she reacted to slow. The knife lodged itself into her shoulder. Charlotte cried out in pain and backed up only to fall on the floor. Her eyes stopped glowing as she started to cry. "What the hell?" She looked at her shoulder then at Matt. "What happened?"
