Moutain Climbing and Perfect Picnic

Zalia followed Kaden down Half-blood Hill and to the street. Zalia breathed loudly and looked at the road. "I haven't left camp since I got here." Zalia blushed. It was dumb. She was probably the only camper that had never been in the city.

"That's OKay. That just means more adventure." He got into a cab. They went up towards the mountains.

Zalia smiled a goofy smile, not her normal "give-me-whatever-I-want" smile. But a smile more like Kaden's, not as practiced just natural. Zalia's hand crept across the middle seat and slipped gracefully into Kaden's.

Kaden panicked at first, but then remained calm. It was just Zalia, and it felt right. He smiled at her. When they stopped, he let go and got out. He opened her door for her, gesturing for her to get out.

Zalia climbed out and looked around, "Where are we?"

"The nearest mountains in Manhattan." Kaden shut her door and enjoyed the site for a moment. He took some sunscreen and out it on him. "Do you want some?" He held out the bottle to her.

Zalia took the bottle and applied sunblock to herself. She looked at the mountain nervously and took a deep breath. She hadn't even tried the mountain in camp. This one could have real monsters on it. Zalia shuddered. "Have you been here before?"

"Never. I wouldn't be afraid, though. Not many monsters can fly to get near the top of the mountain like we are. And, this isn't exactly comforting, but like I said, I'm never letting you go. That includes into a monster's digestion system." He grinned. "Joking."

Zalia nodded, ignoring his joke and looked ahead.

Kaden looked in the distance, where she was looking. "Look, if it makes you feel better, we can go back and get a couple weapons and Nick- he's surprisingly good for thirteen. But Nick will be more like our bodyguard, he'll wait down her as we ascend up there." He pointed towards the top of the mountain.

Zalia shook her. "No. I just want to be the two of us."

Kaden nodded. He offered her his hand. "Let's go."

Zalia took his hand and began to climb with Kaden.

As they climbed higher, he asked, "are you alright so far?"

ooc: Have you gone to school yet? Or are you going to go soon or...xD

Zalia felt slightly better. Kaden's hand was comforting and she loved the smell in the mountain. "This is really nice."

Ooc: I'm at school. I have band right now so, I am all good. C:

"Mhm. So, Zalia, how about your father? The mortal. Could he see through the Mist? Is he......alive?" Kaden asked, curious of her past.

ooc: IDK your time zone so how many hours do you have left?

"Um. A scientist back in England." Zalia nodded, "he studied greek monsters. He wasn't home much. He hasn't contacted me since he bought my plane ticket here." Zalia sighed she hadn't talked about her dad since her first night. "You?"

Ooc: It is a half day. I have about three hours until I can go home

"My mom....she was a mattress seller. She was...killed by a monster." Kaden sighed. He lost focus, and almost fell; he slipped. He screamed. When he regained his balance, he said, "maybe...just maybe....after our date, you can head back to camp. I'm going to visit my mother's old mattress store." Kaden looked up at the sun.

Zalia gripped Kaden's wrist tighter, afraid he might fall again. "No, Kaden. You don't have to go alone. I'll go with you."

"Are you sure? It's too dangerous. A monster could attack us and we could die the same way or-" he stopped, "......let's go eat our picnic. I'll take you to a great view." He started to descend the mountain.

Zalia shook her head. She was NOT letting him go. She followed him down, tripping a few times in the rocks. "Geez. Rocks."

Kaden chuckled those few times, helping her down. When they got down, he studied the city of Manhattan. He looked towards the blue ocean surrounding. It was elegant. He smiled, holding her hand. He walked her toward a perfect area with a perfect view of the blue soft cover. He opened the picnic basket, getting the blanket and laying it down. He took a drink of water, then got out a ham sandwitch and unwrapped in. "There's also cold pizza and salads. I hope that's alright. I home-made these." He felt his pocket, with forty regular dollars in it, in which he would use to buy them desert. He brought this much because he didn't know the price; in New York, a thousand dollar pizza was a thing.

Zalia looked at everything. It was so much. He was just so... before she could think about it she was pulling him in for a soft kiss. She whispers quietly to finish her thought, "perfect in every way."

Kaden smiled, kissing back. When he turned away, he asked, "so...uh...this sounds silly considering we've kissed twice..but um...will you be my official girlfriend?" He smiled at her, turning his head in her direction.

Zalia nodded and pulled him in for a hug.
