Daughters of Aphrodite (Cherry and Cleo)

I.... I don't know, actually... I just think it's a bit weird that I keep bringing up Mom, despite the fact that I'm pissed at her because I've never had the chance to talk to her... I have a close relationship with my Stepmother, and I think.... I feel cheated that I don't have that with Mom Looks up to the roof and shakes a fist And now I seem to have spiraled into making the same complaints I made earlier She'd shrug Also, I don't think Mom really approves of violence as much as the other Gods do. I really need to air my issues... Or cut off parts of my hair, or something... Or maybe just leave the Camp

"Oh darling." Cleopatra giggled. "Love and war go together. Of course she approves of violence. Let me show you something."

She went over to her trunk and opened the lid, gently lifting a belt out from under a pile of clothes. It was a dazzling piece of fashion: ivory swan wings curving around an invisible waistline, closed by a golden clasp, delicate, lavish. It radiated beauty and elegance.

"Mum gave me this a while ago. Look here." She pointed at the inside of the belt, where a short sentence was written in Ancient Greek. We may not fight the battles, yet we wage war. Notching an amused eyebrow, she giggled again. "Re-thinking that statement now?"

Wow... it's beautiful... She felt jealousy bubbling up inside of her, but ignored it Mom must have been holding onto it, for you. For a long time... She'd study it, noticing the skill of the craftmanship. Mom loves you, truly. If Cherry had been a lot into fashion, perhaps she would've been given a gift like this... But she wasn't interested fancy clothes, at the moment. She'd rub her arms against her bracelets, which shined in the light. She'd open her mouth to speak, and then close it. She repeat this action a few times, before finally speaking. I wonder... what I would have been like, if I hadn't been so interested in Martial Arts...

"Did you hear what I just told you?" Cleopatra asked, watching her sister.

Huh? Oh, yeah... But I was wondering if I hadn't been drawn to Martial Arts, if I'd have been like you, or been on of your little hanger-ons. Shrugs Hey... it's still your turn, isn't it? She'd wag a finger at Cleo We're not done with this game, yet, sister! Maybe I need to sing you another song to get you back into the mode to play the game?

"Forget the game for now," she said, quickly waving her manicured hand. "Well, what if? Do you think Mom would've liked you more?" Her peacock-coloured eyes looked straight into Cherry's. They were deep and large and always made one feel like the absolute centre of her attention.

She'd shrug I kind of think she would've talked to me at once already. And plus that annoying little gift she granted me, instant knowledge of the location of the nearest mall and the newest stores, would probably be more useful if I was different... As it is, it just gives me a headache... I imagined I'd be all in with the Gossip, and pitting boys against each other in their attempts to go out with me. In fact, I could possibly be going up against you and your kliq with my own. She wasn't blowing smoke, actually. She'd been thinking about this for years, how things could have been different. But this was actually the first time she had ever voiced her opinions to anyone else. We'd either be best friends & sisters, or bitter rivals & sisters. There'd be so much going on between us, Mom would probably be fascinated by it.
