Re: Astrid's Bunk
Malicious laughter racked Astrid’s body in spasms. “Are – you – sure – you – want – to – know?”

Re: Astrid's Bunk
Dorian was seriously being creeped out now, and this was bad for him. Bad emotions? For him? Around 10 times as serious as the regular mortal's. He needed to try and keep his emotions positive, or he could end up an emotional wreck in a fit.
"Yes. Tell me."

Re: Astrid's Bunk
The demon stopped laughing and instead plastered a ghoulish smile on Astrid’s face. “I – pity – you. You – have – a – hard – role – to – play. One – of – my – brethren – lives – within – you. He – lingers – inside – you – like – a – spider, - waiting – for – the – time – to – strike.” Astrid began to convulse. Her head drooped, and when she lifted it back up, her eyes were normal. She was herself again. Panting, she forced a smile. “Was that helpful?”

Re: Astrid's Bunk
Dorian was severely worried now, he started panting, breathing quickly, thinking about what it had said.
"It scared the living hell out of me... but... well, now I feel as if I didn't want to know."

“The demon was probably toying with you.” Astrid bit her lip. “Please, let’s not talk about this right now.”

"I guess your right, but I'm still worried now," Dorian said, shrugging. "So, what do you want to talk about? By the way, that was some good fighting earlier."

Re: Astrid's Bunk
Astrid took the white streak out of her hair and rolled it between her fingers. "Thanks. You were quite good as well." for some reason she was feeling incredibly self-conciuse.

Re: Astrid's Bunk
Astrid smiled. “It’ll come in handy someday. So where are you from?” she asked curiously. For some reason, she really wanted to know more about Dorian.

"Where am I from, you ask?" he said, a little shocked that she wanted to know about him. "New York. Born and raised. You?"

"A traveler then..." Dorian said quietly. "That's interesting. But don't you have any family?"

Re: Astrid's Bunk
(Astrid) Astrid’s expression darkened like a rain cloud. “Yes. My father.”

"I know so, it comes with the whole fear package. I can sense negative emotions, and I can provoke fear in others."

Re: Astrid's Bunk
Astrid nodded grimly. She was silent of a moment, then she spoke. "Well, you're right, either way, I don't like my father much.'

"I know I don't know anything about it, and that it is not my place to say, but you need to realize something," Dorian said warmly. "Family is really important, I am not lucky enough to have a proper one."

Astrid’s eyes narrowed. “When your father uses you for twisted science/magic experiments, you generally drift away from him a bit.”

"Bish and bosh. My mum killed herself," Dorian shrugged. "If she had done anything like that, I would still do anything to get her back."

Re: Astrid's Bunk
Getting angry, Astrid rolled back her right sleeve. “Look at this.” She hissed. Her forearm was covered with scars made by scalpels and syringes. The veins around it were various shades of black and green, and mottled around the syringe marks were bruises that would never fade. She rolled down the top of her turtleneck and the skin there was similarly disfigured. “Don’t talk to me about family ties.” She said, calming down a bit. She let go of her turtleneck and rolled back her sleeve.

Re: Astrid's Bunk
Dorian sighed, and waved his hand in the air, using his power.
"I have removed your fear. Now, please calm down. Whatever happened in the past is done and gone, just focus on the now."

Re: Astrid's Bunk
Astrid’s anger flared up again. Her fear was gone, but she hadn’t liked Dorian’s dismissive clearing of her emotions. “Thank you for asking my permission.” She grumbled sarcastically.

"I thought you would have wanted to be rid of it. Fear is not productive in any way," Doian stated. "And it is the core of all negative emotions. Like anger, and sadness."

Re: Astrid's Bunk
"Fear can be productive." Astrid countered. "Fear saved my life on many occasions. Besides, without fear, there would be no sweet relife after the danger has passed. Relife is a wonderful emotion."
