by daddeme 6/20/2012, 1:55 amI finally find a music room and walk in with Zane. I pause in the doorway. "Oh. My. Brass." I say as I take in the entire room that's shaped like an egg. Instruments decorate the walls up and down, round and round. Heaven.

I walk in behind her, "Woah." I say as I look around the room. The room had all kids of instruments, from guitars to piano to anything else. I felt so at home. I'd grown up around music, now this was just like home for me.

I make a beeline towards an acoustic and start playing a gentle tune.

I walk through the whole room, looking at all the instruments. I listen to her tune, "You're pretty good, aren't you?" I say, grinning. I look around some more and walk towards a piano and start playing, trying to match her tune.

I smile when he tries to match my tune and walk over to him on the piano. I keep playing. Funny, the instruments sound pretty good together. "They compliment eachother." I say aloud.

"Yeah, it's a pretty good tune." I say, I keep trying to match her tune, but something sounded a bit wrong. "Uh, what song are you playing? Or are you just playing random chords?" I ask her. I could seem to figure out what she was playing, it bothered me slightly.

"Random chords." I smirk. "But here, I'll play a song." I switch up the chords and start playing Man in the Mirror.

I finally got the right notes and played along with her. "You're really good. Are you a natural musician?" I ask her, still focusing on the keyboard.

I nod and watch my fingers glide across the strings. "Yep. Never took lessons."

"Wow, it took me about two and a half years to play like this." I say, "What other instruments do you play?" I ask her.

"I sing and I can play some trumpet. Alto sax, clarinet, flute, cello, piano, violin. Oh and some drums."

"Wow, you are really talented." I say and grin. "Ever thought about going professional?" I ask her, ending the song and turning towards her.

I finish with him and look up. "No, not really. I think other people should get a chance." I pull off the guitar and sit beside him on the bench. "Plus, there are some other talented people out there." I smile.

"Hey, it's nothing, nothing besides the truth." I say and grin. I listen to her play on the piano, the melody she was playing had a soft, calming sound. It was nice to hear good music after sometime.

"The truth?" I smile and look at him. "Stevie Wonder can play and he's blind. Beethoven was deaf. That's talent. I'm still an amateur."

I decide to remain silent, it looked like I was just trying to impress her. I get off the piano bench and walk around looking at all the other instruments. I wish I knew how to play more of these instruments, I think to myself.

When he leaves, I think I've made him uncomfortable with my playing.. He probably thinks I'm showing off. I stop playing and study the notes on the sheet music, trying to keep my embarrassed expression hidden.

I turn towards her, "Why did you stop playing?" I asked. I like the soothing music, when she stopped I almost felt heart-broken. I try to keep a sad look off my face, I had really enjoyed her music. "I'll play along with you, if you're uncomfortable playing alone." I say.

I sit next to her, "Sure." I say, I turn to her, "What would you like to play?" I ask her. I look at the music book, turning the pages, trying to find a nice song.
