"Are you sure?" GErran asked and then bought the tickets. He thanked the clerk and steered her to the snacks. "OK. Popcorn, ice cream... Nachos? Huh. I didn't know they actually sold nachos at these places... Oh well. Anyway, what do you want, Kate?"

The movie wouldn't start for another ten or so minutes so Gerran sat down on a near by seat and studied his date. "What's wrong?" he asked. "If you aren't happy, I could always escort you back to camp, Kate. If it's what you want..."

The staff called the movie goers up and Gerran took hold of the popcorn and started up for it. He waited for her like a gentleman.

The movie started and Gerran watched it with mild interest. He glanced to Kate every now and then in the dark of the movie theater out of the corner of his eye. The first murder had yet to be made. It was just setting the scene.
