That should have been an easy question for Asher to answer. She has been at Camp for five years but she couldn't realy explain it. "When gods come down they see mortals they think are cute and then they have a baby and leave. Then the baby has this smell where monsters want to eat them so normally a satyr comes out and takes them to Camp."

Elaina wrinkled her eyebrows. Okay... Strange. So... Who's your god? Parent?

"Dionysus!" said Onyx.

Really weird, Elaina thought. I thought Leo was taking me to a summer camp.
Of course not! she scolded herself. He was poor. She wondered where he was now.

Asher was about to speak, but then she stopped herself. They might look at her stangely if she said her mother was Egyption. Most of the Campers were from Greek decent anyway. This could be her chance to say something cool. But the goods side in her stopped her. Asher let out a sigh,"Neith." She mumbled under her breath. "You probably never heard of her." Her straight face broke into a smile, she sounded like one of those hipsters she saw on her trip to see a show on brodway.

Holland walked into the beach, squinting against the sunlight. The wind blew strands of her dark hair in every direction. She plopped down on the warm sand, next to three girls who were chatting -- well, two of them were, anyway, since one of them was scribbling her comments in the sand. Being the talkative girl she was, she couldn’t help interrupting their conversation. “Hey! I'm Holland, but you can call me Holly,” she said, smiling brightly.

Asher raised an eyebrow at the girl, "Um hello Holly." Ash examined her up and down curiously, the girl seemed okay. But seemed is not a word to rely on. "I'm Asher." She flicked her hair out of her face and advertied her gaze away from Holly. "Are you sane?" She couldn't help but asking that question, the way she aproached them was new to the daughter of Neith. And with new things come questions.

“Am I sane?” Holland repeated, frowning. It wasn’t a question you get asked every day. “Of course.” She shrugged, feeling a bit uncomfortable with Asher scrutinizing her, and was relieved when she looked away. “Are you?” she asked, after a few moments, giggling a bit. It was rare when Holly acted her age. She turned to Onyx and Elaina. “Hi!” she said, unsure of what else to say, but masking her uncertainness under a cheery tone and bright smile.

"I'm pretty sure I'm sane." Asher replied to her. She scratched her head, trying to figure her out. SHe then turned to the other girls and struggled to keep a smile. Asher didn't understand Onyx's positivity or Elaina's muteness. Perhaps Onyx was just litle and it is a phase. But Elaina must have had something terrible in her life. And to think Asher though she had the worst of the worst.

bic: Come on, guys, you don't have to act happy. Let's go in the water. Elaina stood up and wiped away her notes with her foot. She walked to the waves and stood in them, watching the dark blue water lap over her feet. Thoughts buzzed through her head.

Asher nodded and waded slowly into the water. When she felt the water hit her knees, she untied the sarong on her hips and setted it gentley onto the edge of the sand and water. She walked father into the water as she watched her sarong float away. "Estúpido marea." Ash muttered.

Elaina looked back and gave her a questioning look.

"¿Qué estás mirando?" Ash asked her. She twitched, "Sorry," She mumbled, "It's a force of habbit." More like her culture. It's hard to switch back and forth between two languages. Asher sighed, putting her hands on her hips. She walked faster until she was a good foot farther than the others.

Holland peered at the text, but didn’t get the chance to read it. She sprung up, enthusiastically, and half-ran into to the water, splashing everyone near her. She got a few annoyed looks, but they didn't get through her thick skin. With a lot of slipping and falling, she caught up to Asher, eventually. “Hiya!” she said, brightly, kicking up water and splashing herself and, possibly, Asher. “How long have you been at this crappy camp?” Even though the daughter of Hymenaios seemed to look on the bright side of everything, she really didn’t, and Camp Half-Blood was one of the not-so-many things she disliked.

Asher cringed as the water splashed her face. "Five years." She said. "Five horrible years in solitude." But it really wasnt that bad. She had her baby grand in the music room. But now she cannot even step foot into the room. Stupid Mr. D. He is the reason she got busted. But it was well worth it, her song was finnished and now all she had to do was edit the video. "And you?" Ash asked Holly.

Holland made a face, smoothing down her soaked hair. “That sounds awful,” she said. “I’ve been here a year. Short, compared to you -- I don't know how I would survive for five years in soltitude. I mean, if there’s people to talk to, I could. But alone?” She paused for effect, not realizing she was rambling. “I’d die.” She grimaced, again.
