The Lake

Malecai laughed and sat up to kiss her forehead. "You're so weird."

"Good." Marina replied, blushing a smidge. "If I was not weird than you would die with out my spark of creativity among you and others around you," She paused, "I have no idea what half of the stuff I just said means."

"I did. You're brilliant and accurate." Malecai smiled and kissed her lips this time.

Marina was startled, but she did kiss back a little.

Malec broke away slowly and blushed. "Impulse. Sorry."

"Impulse?" Marina asked.

"It's just...gah." Malecai ran his hands through his hair. "Your face is just so...gah! And then you're so annoying and just...Agh! Nevermind." He stammered, flustered.

"What I'm getting is that you like my face but not my personality." Marina concluded.

"No! You're personality drives me crazy! I love it!" Malecai said quickly."Gosh. Women."

"Okay..." Marina replied, "You're weird."

"I know I am." He groaned and threw himself on the ground again. "That's why I'm not good at talking to people. I had no one to talk to."

"Well now you have one person. One is better than none."

"Oh, um.." Marina started, "I wont get hit in the head with a brick, I'll where a helmet."

Malecai smiled. "See, that's what has me hooked. That attitude."

"Word." Malecai laughed and sat up again. "It's almost sunrise."

"Good. I like sunruses better than sunsets." Marina replied.

"Oh." Marina laughed, "I just like the colors better."

Malecai smiled and shrugged. "That , too."

"I like color." Marina replied. "Mainly purple. Did you know that purple as the shortest wavelength on the visible light spectrum?"

Malecai's eyes widened and he looked at his reflection in the water in shock. "No...I...didn't.."

"Oh, they do. Red has the longest wavelength. So that means they have less hertz per minute."

Malecai's eye twitched. "Why didn't I know that? " He asked himself.
