The Lake

Malecai blushed a deep shade of red. "Oh. Uh...."

Marina laughed, "You're such a softie."

"Am not!" Malecai laughed a breathy laugh and looked away.

"Are too." Marina protested, "Super softie."

"I am not!" Malecai laughed, looking at her this time. "I could be mean if I wanted to."

"But you don't want to because you're a softie." Marina insisted.

"I would throw you out of this tree so fast." Malecai muttered, crossing his arms.

"Doubt it." marina replied. "Softie." She cooed.

Malecai growled and grabbed her arms suddenly.

Marina cringed, "Woah there, touchy touchy."

"Fine." Marina said.

"So you admit that I'm not a softie?" Malecai smirked, releasing his grip on her.

"Fine. I am. Happy?" Malecai demanded.

Marina smiled,"Verry happy."

"Forget you." Malecai laughed. He rested against the trunk and sighed.

"Well okay." Marina pouted. She stood up shakely and climbed onto branch above him.

Malecai looked up at her. "Don't fall."

"I-I'm not planning on it." Marina replied.

Malecai chuckled and stretched up to kiss her cheek."Goodnight."

"NIght." Marina said back to him. She planted her foot onto one side of the tree.

Malecai closed his eyes and fell asleep in the tree. Immediately, the vivid dreams began.

Marina watched him fall asleep. She smiled. Marina stood on the branch and hopped down off of the tree. She walked down to her bag and pulled out a pen.

He was in his old room back in Venice, hammering away at his soon-to-be world seer. He hadn't known what to call it, but her knew that he would be able to see anything around the world. Then the knock came at his door, so he stood and answered it. It was his father, looking as wise as ever. "You have a visitor, Malec." Malecai frowned and his eyes widened. He never had visitors...no one liked him. He walked towards the dark wood door and opened it.
