The Lake Empty Fighting Sea/Lake Monsters

Post by Kelcin 12/5/2011, 10:26 pm

OOC: @Mona I'm assuming we went to the armory/brought our weapons/armor with us. If you want to roleplay that, we can.
If anyone wants to join our crew, just post and assume you're already on board, or swim out to us.

I hopped on board the trireme. "You ever been sailing?" I asked Chandon. Getting on the ship reminded me of the old myth about Dionysus and the pirates. Maybe he'd want to come with us. "Umm, Dad, want to come fight lake monsters with us?" I prayed. Didn't hurt to try.

    OOC: Okay.

I climb aboard and sit next to Jack, but not too close, don't wanna serve as human shield. I look at him and sigh quietly. "Dionysus won’t appear. He must be sleeping, as we should." I look at the lake, now tired again. The water isn't even curling.

"Sleeping, at an hour like this? This is prime-time for adventure." I said sarcastically. I scanned the water for movement. Nothing. I looked again, more intently. Nothing. OK, I've never been patient, which kind of excuses what I did next. Kind of. I striped off my armor, pulled out my dagger, and made a small cut on the top of my left hand, enough to draw some blood. "I'm going to jump in, and the monsters should come. Try to pull me back in once we get attacked." With that, I leaped into the water.

I take my dagger and sit right in the middle of the boat, trying hard to stay focused. "Okay ... But are you sure it's a good idea? I mean, they are fast. When I pull you, you may already be dead." I seem worried, but I'm actually quite calm.

"Don't worry, my Mom did this, twice." I replied. I thought I saw some movement in the water about ten feet in front of me.

"Fine. But then there will be two dead and I'm lazy." I smile sarcastically at Violet and get closer to the water, ready to attack the creature that's coming.

My brother was finally showing his sense of humor.
The water moved again, and the head of a sea serpent emerged from the
water. It turned towards me, opened it's mouth wide, and charged towards
    me.
It's head was the size of a small car,
and it's teeth looked like they had been specially designed for slicing
    demigod flesh. "Now!" I shouted.

I pull Jack out by his hair without much delicacy and throw him down, after assuring that he's reasonably okay. I run to the prow and make some quick movements with the dagger near the surface, hoping not to lose my hand, and look at Violet as a sign of supplication.

I try to smile friendly. "Nice. I hope you don't make it upset." I leave the edge of the boat, afraid to fall or be overthrown. "How about you, bro? Are you still alive?" I hold Jack's hand and pull him back.

"Still kicking. Think I still have my arm too." I said with a smirk. I pulled myself up using the mast for support, in case the monster slammed into the ship. Then I readied my sword, Brute. "How about we ram this snake with the ship?"

I swam over to the ship. I saw the big monster and decided to say hi. I got my spear. "Hi! Can I join your group. I'm really bored and I don't have anything to do." And without waiting for an answer, I hopped in.

"Yeah, but ... what if this cling to the bow of the boat and enter aboard? Snakes are elastic and fast. We're screwed. But I can slice it with my short range weapon, at least." I look at Katie. "Yes, but I'm not responsible for you. '

OOC: Yes, I'm a girl and yes, this is an indirect for some people that wouldn't even read this.

"Don't let the girls in the corner! They can serve as an aperitif, as they think they're soooo ... fleshy!" I smile wickedly and pull Violet's T-shirt , knowing that she would hit my hand. I walk next to Jack, waiting for something that will probably to jump into the boat.

"I won't call you Vanessa. It doesn't suits you. And I guess that the monster thinks the same, because it's coming." I look at the waves, which are getting increasingly violent. "Ladies goes first, right?"
