Her extremely advanced and intelligent mind raced for possible ways to do this, but she could think of none. "Finnick, I--" She stopped and tried to think about what she was about to do. She bit her lip, her eyebrows pulling down as she tugged a hand through her dark hair. "Finnick, I don't think we should... erm... see each other again."

"Oh I see. I bet you went on a quest with that stupid Kataro guy," Finnick said. "You were here just to look for an excuse to break up with me? When I was just helping out Linda? You're quite a lady, because if you were as intelligent as you should be being a daughter of Athena, you wouldn't have made me FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU," He was basically shouting at her in anger, as he spun on his heel, and stalked away, smoldering with anger.

"I would break up with you? I just said I loved you, but, you're unbelievable," Finnick laughed bitterly, hurt clearly showing, but he was trying not to break out in tears. He left, his green eyes focused on the ground.

She was hurting....in more ways then one...

Rita walked in, looking at all the horses. She had ridden them before, but she was a tad bit nervous about riding one she didn't know. She took a look around, and found a nice looking white horse. She walked up to her, assuming it was a girl, and rubbed her side. "Hey girl.." she said calmly, seeing if the horse would be kind enough to let her ride it. Wind blew some of Ritas hair in her face, and a little bit in her mouth. Spitting it out like a dork, she continued brushing the horse. "How are you doing today?" The horse seemed calm enough, but Rita was playing it safe and warming up too it before attempting to ride around on it.

I walked in to the riding ring, my hands in my pockets. It was pretty empty around here, either people going out of camp on vacation or just not hanging around the places I usually went to. Horses. I'd seen a few driving around with Dad, but that was a long time ago. When I got my first iPod a few years back, I wouldn't even glance out the window when Dad and I were driving around. I noticed a girl by a horse, though I didn't quite see her face. Sounded like she was talking to it -- not that it really mattered to me, anyway. I didn't know why the hell I was here -- to explore more of camp? Maybe.

"So horsey.. I'm gonna name you Snow White. Because you're pretty as a princess and your'e white and all. My name is Rita, just so you know." Snow White slightly brushed her head against Rita's shoulder. She smiled. "So you like me, huh? That's good." she decided to hop onto the horse, disregarding the fact that it was bareback. She didn't really care that much anyways. She lightly tugged on the horses mane to control it, and Snow White started walking around. "I hope I'm not too heavy for you." Rita chuckled. She took quite a liking to this horse, and enjoyed riding it.

I raised my head slightly when I heard the sound of talking from the direction of the girl and the horse. It was faintly familiar, though I didn't know from where. Turning my head, I saw Rita riding a white horse around the riding ring. I blinked, rubbing my eyes for a moment. Yup, definitely Rita there. This was awkward. I sat down beside a bale of hay, picking idly at the strings that held it together. I didn't like feeling socially awkward around here, but I just didn't fit in to camp the way I fit in to school and home; I was a lot older than most of the kids around here and I'd come here a lot later, too. I sighed, shaking my head.

Rita rode around for a little while, then saw Meagan. She got off the horse and patted it on the side. As Snow White went to go eat some hay, Rita walked over to Meagan. "Hey Meagan, haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?" she said, feeling friendly today. Most people just annoyed her or tried to pick fights, but Meagan was different. She was actually calm and collected, which Rita liked.

I looked up from my best friend, the hale of bay, hearing Rita saying hi to me. "Oh, well, hi there. I've been fine.... Just inactive in my bunk and all. It's weird how easily I can zone out and then, poof, it's a month later. Guess that happens a lot here, huh?" I got up and brushed off the back of my pants. Pretty dusty place, but then again, there were horses running around here a lot. "So, how've you been?"

Rita laughed. "I know what you mean. I've been doing good. I actually got a date to the prom, but I think I'm being forced to go. Are you gonna go? It's next week. "Rita didn't exactly look forward to the prom, but she probably wouldn't have anything better to do so she forced herself to go anyways. She was hoping Meagan might be going, if anyone asked her. Or maybe out of the blue a magical character with golden hair would suddenly appear, and sweep her off her feet. It wasn't likely, but she probably wouldn't be too happy about a complete stranger doing that....

"The prom, huh? Well, I've sort of been.... in Narnia or something for the past month, so I haven't heard about it. Nor have I been asked, just sitting there collecting dust in my cabin. I might just drop by for a bit and steal some food or something, though." I shrugged; I'd gone to the prom at school with a guy I liked, but then he turned out to be a jerk, so I ended up avoiding him for most of the night and danced with my friends instead. Thank the gods I'd gotten one of my friends to drive me home, or else I would have been forced to deal with an awkward car ride with the jerk. I looked at her carefully, readjusting my left sock -- it had been sliding down into my shoe, which wasn't very comfortable. "Why would you be forced to go?"

"Well that stinks! I hope someone asks you." Rita thought about her last question. "Well, I'm forcing myself to go. If I don't, I'll just sit in my cabin sleeping or doing nothing, then I'll end up regretting not going." Rita really needed to go shopping for a dress, which is something she had procrastinated on doing for a while, like many other chores that have been neglected by her.

"You won't really regret it... I'm willing to bet it'll be a lot different from school proms -- with demigods and all. Plus, there might even be a fight there since there are weapons all around this place -- somebody's bound to get mad and fight. Unless you like those things... then you should go." I shrugged, looking around the riding ring. "But I really don't think I would go... Even if somebody asked me. One, because most of the guys in this place are idiots, and two, because I'm a bit too lazy to shop for a dress."

Rita nodded. "Yeah the guys here are idiots... I learned that after I saw two guys diving out of trees. And there probably will be a fight... Maybe over some girl or who was going to get the drinks." Rita started thinking about not going, hearing Meagan's two cents about it. And buying a dress would be a hassle... And prom dresses these days showed so much skin and were over priced.

"Diving out of trees? Eh, I've seen worse. Like guys trying to surf in shark-infested waters.... But if there is a fight, you might as well watch. Most fights during dances are funny, at least.... I mean, you've either got a dance battle or a fist fight into the punch bowl going on." I shrugged again, sitting down on the hay. "I mean, hey.... You might as well get a bit of amusement out of it. I'm sure there will be something fun happening... like a conga line?" I didn't know what I was saying now, but I was on a roll....

Rita laughed. "I remember one time at a dance there was this girl with a Guy Fawkes mask, and she kept flirting with someones boyfriend and they got in a cat fight. It was pretty funny." Rita smiled, remembering what had happened. "I also remember this one guy was freaking out because nothing was symmetrical, and when he fixed it everyone else would rearrange it to annoy him. He eventually passed out on the ground because of the horror he had to face. It was pretty funny." Rita remembered drawing on his face, which was always a good time.

"Freaking out over things be symmetrical, huh? Sounds like my old art teacher. Or geometry teacher.... They both liked everything to be symmetrical." I cracked a smile, crossing my legs. "People here seem a lot more fun than outside of camp... But then again, most of the people outside of camp aren't related to gods." I didn't want to think of what would happen if I denounced Gaea some more, like David -- she seemed to like him better, giving him immortality.... But then again, it was easy to take that away, too. She probably would, considering what we -- he -- did against her, leading all those other demigods against her. I didn't find her to be that motherly, to be honest.

"Yeah I guess. In camp nowadays there are people with sob stories, people that non-stop fight, and then there are the people that date a new person every other day. It's messed up." Rita remembered one girl that had dated someone new almost every day. She couldn't remember her name, but the girl had left camp already so it didn't matter. Rita was proud to not be a part of those other groups, since they annoyed her half to death. It was like they just sought attention wherever they went.
