that song is stuck in my head. kill me
"Get off of me." A voice whispered in my ear. A shrill scream slipped out of my mouth. Did the tree just talk to me??? Clearly startled, I looked around, spotting a leg sticking out of it. I followed along, until my eyes rested against a head. I let out an especially large gasp, obviously startled. The girl giggled, jumping down the tree. She wasn't much older than him; maybe 15, possibly 16.
"What the hell did you do that for?" I mumbled, grasping the top of my bag. The girl giggled again.
"Because it's funny." She replied, a smirk grin curling onto her lips. I grasped my bag tighter.
"Well it wasn't funny to me."
"Fine. I'm sorry. Happy? She tapped her foot, waiting for a response. After a short moment of awkwardness, the girl shook her head.
"Sheesh. All you new campers are weird." She mumbled. After a couple minutes of some more awkwardness, the girl stepped forward. I flinched, as if she was going to hit me. With a chair. She laughed a good hearty laugh, unable to even pick up her hand.
"Sorry. I intimidate people, apparently. Either way, my name is Kendall. Daughter of Isis." She seemed to shudder as the words speaking about her god parent slipped out of her mouth. I raised an eyebrow, but shook her shaky hand. Ew. It was sweaty.
"I'm Christian. Son of.. er... I dunno." I replied with a simple shrug of the shoulders.
"Unclaimed, huh?
"Uhhhh... sure?
"Cabin number 28." She immediately replied. "I'll be happy to show you around." Another one of those sly grins ran across her face. I almost seemed to feel uncomfortable, as if she planned to stab me right when I turn around.
"Oh, um, thank you."
"No problem... Oh yeah." She said suddenly, stopping herself.
"What?" Kendall faced me, eyes serious.
"Welcome to hell."
I wasn't sure how to respond to Kendall's last sentence, but I chose to ignore it. She seemed really weird anyway. As me and her walked down the hill, the other campers seemed to stop what they were doing, just so they could stare at me. Walking through the camp for the first time was probably one of the most awkward things I have ever experienced. My thoughts were mostly focused on this group of people. There were 2 boys, and 3 girls. They were all whispering and giggling. I wasn't sure if it was about me or not, but I didn't like it. It made me feel uncomfortable.
"Uh, who are those people?" I whispered to Kendall. She turned to look at them, waving in the process.
"Oh, them? That's Chris, Asi, Belle, Blaze, and... Morgan. Yeah, that's Morgan." I turned to get another look at them. Kendall looked at me, a slight smile forming in her lips.
"Want me to introduce you to them?" I looked at her, pondering over the idea.
"I don't know..." Before I could even say anything else, Kendall dragged me across the camp. We stopped in front of the group, all of them staring at me dead in the eye. I gulped.
"Um, hi." I whispered, voice cracking. I got nervous real fast, which was strange for me. One of the girls walked over to me, holding her hand out.
"The name's Asi. This is Chris," Asi said, pointing at one of the boys. He had short blonde hair, and looked similar to his uncle. "Belle," The teenager stared at me, brown hair flowing down to her mid-back. "Blaze," The guy with black hair named Blaze glanced at me, examining me with those stormy grey eyes. It was as if he stared into my soul. "And Morgan." Asi finished, pointing at the last girl.
"Hello." She said, smiling at me. A rose was sticking out of the back of her ear.
"Nice to meet you all."
"Back at ya." Blaze replied, not even looking up from his book. I couldn't see the cover, but could tell it was a good book. He had only looked up from it to get a glimpse of me.
"Blaze, don't be rude. At least look up from your bloody book and make eye contact." Chris seemed to hiss, slapping Blaze on the back.
"Hey! You made me lose my page!" Blaze cried, flipping through the pages. I smirked, feeling a bit more comfortable. The only thing that made me uncomfortable again was Belle. She kept on staring at me, saying nothing at all. I decided to ignore it, but even now it still crosses my mind. Morgan seemed to sense me being uncomfortable, and grabbed Belle on the shoulder.
"Sorry about Belle. She's a mute, and can communicate telepathically. She chooses to not do so, and has only done it once or twice in her lifetime. It's part of her powers, I think." Morgan stared at Belle, waiting for a response. She slowly nodded, looking towards the ground. I nodded in understanding, feeling bad for feeling uncomfortable.
"So, who are your guy's god parents?"
"Athena"
"Hecate"
"Demeter."
"Aeolus."
Belle stared blankly at me, squinting. Feeling uncomfortable, I gasped as I heard a shrill voice.
"Circe." I glanced at Belle, nodding.
"Well, my name is Christian. I'm unclaimed." I said, letting out a small sigh. "It was nice to meet all of you, but I think I should be heading to my cabin. It was wonderful meeting all of you." I said, grasping the bag over my shoulder. I turned around, hearing 'bye' being heard behind me. I felt glad that I had at least made acquaintances already. Maybe this camp wasn't that bad. Unless Kendall was right. He could have been in hell.
Just so you guys know, this is how I imagine you whenever you come to mind. If anything is offending you, just tell me and I'll change it. Thanks c:[/color]
