Gwen's Bunk (Aeolus)

"Oh well I don't see how that relates at all but if you say so." Gwen shrugged.

Gwen was completely shocked but she didn't know what to do. So she just curled up and buried her head in her knees. "What did I do wrong?" she wondered tearing up. After about an hour of crying she wiped her tears and headed to Chiron's office.

Gwen came back into her room and watched her mother's old ballet videos. "Only three days to find out if I'm approved to be a mentor." she sighed happily.

It had been more than three days Gwen left to see Mr. D.

Hermes flew into the octagonal white cabin noiselessly, as transparent as a summer breeze, and floated over to Gwen's bunk. He rummaged around in his postman satchel and retrieved a silver bow staff chiseled with angel wings and feathers. It was beautiful; celestial bronze, yes, but the silvery color was very suiting. Hermes left the bow staff on the bed along with a paper requesting the signature of the receiver, and let himself be carried out by one of the wind gusts that spent their time flying around in the cabin. The paper would disappear and come back to him the moment Gwen signed it

Gwen walked in to see if she had received her solstice gift being as Shrike just did. "Yes!" She squealed with glee and ran over to her bed. "Thank you daddy." She sent up a silent prayer and immediately attached it to her belt.

She grabbed a pen from her nightstand and signed the form from Hermes. "Wow it's so pretty, daddy knows me so we'll." Gwen spoke softly hoping Aeolus was watching. As she grabbed the staff from her belt it extended in her hand it was the perfect size. She spun it around in her hands quickly, it was just as easy as twirling a baton. "Hmm I wonder..." Trailing off Gwen pushed herself off the ground to jump and the staff gave her a boost. "It's like magically spring loaded!" Though it wasn't a huge push it did get her off the ground a bit.

"I can't wait to show Shrike!"

"Speak of the devil." Gwen smiled at Shrike and twirled her staff around "My solstice gift from daddy." She beamed at it's beauty. "It's absolutely stunning."

Gwen shot Shrike a grin "Yeah how about I shove it up your's." She was only playing around though the thought was kind of amusing. 'Maybe....nah...' she thought.

"Whatever floats your boat babe." Gwen wasn't sure whether to giggle, cringe with disgust, or hit him. Possibly she could do all of the above. "Then again this is a brand new gift from dad, I want to break it by cracking some skulls."

"Oh come on honey you know I was just kidding." Gwen rolled her eyes at him while smiling. "You really are a nut. How do you like your gift from dad?"

"You're not the fastest. That's a fact. You're very fast but we have other siblings too ya know." Gwen poked at his chest "Stop being so cocky it's not attractive." she huffed.

Gwen smiled and laughed at him before plopping down on the bed too. "You're so grown up now, I remember when I hated you. Now well...." She wasn't quite sure if love was the word but she cared for Shrike deeply and knew it was getting to that point.

"Well I don't really hate you at all now...quite the opposite actually..." Gwen pursed her lips, not sure what to say or rather if she could say it. Then she listened to what Shrike was muttering "So many memories indeed. It feels like everything happened just yesterday."

"Ya know meeting you, our adventures together...everything." Gwen sighed she had changed, not a lot but enough for her to notice.
