Kat wanted to sink away at his words. He was right, after all. You'd have to be mentally insane to love her. Kat bit her lip but refused to display any sort of emotion. It would take her time to trust. He couldn't expect her to change everything overnight.
Yet still, she didn't pull away from his touch. Rather, she leaned into it.
She shook her head. "No... No. This is wrong. I have to go," Kat said. She pushed out of his grasp and left without looking back.
