Pretskuniv (gyro + catherine)

Johnathan was walking down the beach, scythe in hand. He was twirling it like a baton in between his fingers. There was a cool breeze floating through the air, the wind ruffling his black hair, making it fall over his eyes. He combed it back with his fingers, and looked into the water. He could see shells of all kinds, and the occasional live fighting conch. From time to time he stepped on a shell fragment that had washed up on shore, but he had quick reflexes and quickly hopped away. He kept on walking until he saw a boy who looked much like him sitting in the sand. Johnathan was not a person to make new friends. So he quietly tried as best as he could to avoid the boy, but as he was slowly stepping away from the boy, he stepped on a twig. His first thought was, Oh great, now I'll have to meet this kid. His second thought/reflex was to jump away, but a large splinter was lodged in his bare toothed pulled his foot up, but in doing so unbalanced himself and fell on the ground with a loud "Oof!" And a cloud of sand rising up. Now he would definitely have to meet this kid.

Johnathan stood up slowly, propped on his scythe, and repeated the simple phrase he learned at the antisocial anonymous class some satyrs had set up a few weeks ago. "Hello. My name is johnathan, a son of Thanatos. How are you today?" He asked. He hated the phrase but promised the satyrs that he would use it when he needed to. He waited for a response.

There was a pause. "Sand in your eyes?" Johnathan asked.

"Yeah....sorry. I'm pretty clumsy all the time" he said. There was an akward pause. "So what are you down here for?" He asked.

Johnathan frowned as Lewis started smoking. He wasn't big on smoking like some other people here. He didn't even know where these kids got them. He had smoked twice in his entire lifetime and wasn't looking forward for the third time. "Sunset, huh? I came here just to get away from it all." Under his breath, he muttered, "look how that turned out".

"True enough." Jonhathan said, and sat maybe Half a football field's length away from the boy. He stare sin to the water for maybe a minute, but he looked over and Lewis was still there. Eventually, the silence was too much for Johnathan. "Is there anything you kiss about loving a normal life, away from Camp and whatnot?" He asked politely.

"Yeah, same here." Johnathan replied. Though he said this emotionally, he thought of his mother back at home and grew sad very fast. "Do you like monster hunting?" He asked.

"I like to just go out into the woods in search of a fight." Johnathan said. "It's fun yet dangerous at the same time." He added. "Do you have any hobbies?" He asked. He was wondering if he could ever crack through this guy's nutshell.

"Huh. I've tried smoking once. Never tried the other two. They seem dangerous." He said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Johnathan asked, confused.

"Ah. I see where you're coming from. I've never been into the whole.....dating thing. It's just wierd. Everyone wants to date the Aphrodite kids. Guess what, one week later and your heart is broken. Nobody ever learns." He said.

Lewis smiled and looked up at him, holding his cigarette towards the sand.

"They're so hot though. I don't date them for the emotion, more just the... You know. This one chick named Vallary though, she is SO hot, but she wont let anyone get any with her..."

BIC: Johnathan felt uneasy. This kid was perverted, and johnathan felt the exact opposite if what Lewis did. He thought the mind and soul were the best part of anyone. Though good looks were nice on the outside, it really depended on the inside. Johnathan squirmed. "Yeah, I've seen Vallary before......" His voice trailed off.
