ooc maybe
Lewis switched to a more sensitive side, he felt a little more comfortable talking to Jonathan now that he sparked his interest.
"You definitely don't want to date them for their personalities though. Those Aphrodite girls are witches. If you're looking for personality, go for those Hecate and Demeter kids, those girls are some of the most awesome people you'll meet. They'll actually have a conversation with you about what you like rather than make out with you for an hour. They're not incredibly ugly, either."

OOC: you forgot to put BIC
BIC:"I guess it really depends on the person's personality. Like piper vs. Drew. Drew is everyone's dream, yet she's a demon on the inside, and pipers almost the opposite." He said, reasoning with Lewis. Though, he didn't like it, he had hit a conversation spot with him.

"Yeah, I'm just generalizing. The Demeter girl I know is really cool. She liked just about everything I did, it's a shame she left camp."

Lewis thought for a minute. She had left to be with her mortal boyfriend back in Chicago, but he didn't necessarily have to tell Jonathan that. He ran his hands through the sand and let it trinkle between his fingers.
"She missed her dad. She might be back this summer." I hope.

"Not that big on fish." Johnathan muttered. All of a sudden, he had an idea to lighten te mood. HE pilled out his iPod and portable Bluetooth speaker. He turned on his genius playlist and the first song that came on was "knee deep" by zac brown.
It was the only thing he had that would raise the mood, the rest of his songs were sad love songs and whatnot.
Gonna put the the world away for a minute
Pretend I don't live in it
Sunshine gonna wash my blues away
Had sweet love but I lost it
She got too close so I fought her
Now I'm lost in the world trying to find me a better way
Wishing I was knee deep in the water somewhere
Got the blue sky breeze and it don't seem fair
Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair
Sunrise there's a fire in the sky
Never been so happy
Never felt so high
And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise
Wrote a note said be back in a minute
Bought a boat and I sailed off in it
Don't think anybody gonna miss me anyway
Mind on a permanent vacation
The ocean is my only medication
Wishing my condition ain't ever gonna go away
Cause now I'm knee deep in the water somewhere
Got the blue sky breeze blowing wind through my hair
Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair
Sunrise there's a fire in the sky
Never been so happy
Never felt so high
And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise
This champagne shore washing over me
It's a sweet sweet life living by the salty sea
One day you could be as lost as me
Change you're geography
Maybe you might be
Knee deep in the water somewhere
Got the blue sky breeze blowing wind through my hair
Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair
Sunrise there's a fire in the sky
Never been so happy
Never felt so high
And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise
Come on in the water it's nice
Find yourself a little slice
Grab a backpack of lies
You never know until you try
When you lose yourself
You find the key to paradise
Pretend I don't live in it
Sunshine gonna wash my blues away
Had sweet love but I lost it
She got too close so I fought her

Re: Pretskuniv (gyro + catherine)
Lewis didn't like the music he was hearing, he preferred something else. To counter him, he pulled out his iPod when the song was over and played Hook in Mouth by Megadeth, one of his favorite songs.
"A cockroach in the concrete, courthouse tan and beady eyes.
A slouch with fallen arches, purging truths into great lies.
A little man with a big eraser, changing history
Procedures that he's programmed to, all he hears and sees.
Altering the facts and figures, events and every issue.
Make a person disappear, and no one will ever miss you.
Rewrites every story, every poem that ever was.
Eliminates incompetence, and those who break the laws.
Follow the instructions of the New Ways' Evil Book of Rules.
Replacing rights with wrongs, the files and records in the schools.
You say you've got the answers, well who asked you anyway?
Ever think maybe it was meant to be this way?
Don't try to fool us, we know the worst is yet to come.
I believe my kingdom will come.
F is for fighting, R is for red,
Ancestors' blood in battles they've shed.
E, we elect them, E, we eject them,
In the land of the free, and the home of the brave.
D, for your dying, O, your overture,
M, they will cover your grave with manure.
This spells out freedom, it means nothing to me,
As long as there's a P.M.R.C.
F is for fighting, R is for red,
Ancestors' blood in battles they've shed.
E, we elect them, E, we eject them,
In the land of the free and the home of the brave.
D, for your dying, O, your overture,
M is for money and you know what that cures.
This spells out freedom, it means nothing to me,
As long as there's a P.M.R.C.
Put your hand right up my shirt,
Pull the strings that make me work,
Jaws will part, words fall out,
like a fish with hook in mouth.
Rewrites every story, every poem that ever was.

I'm not a fish
I'm a man
Hook in mouth"
While listening to the song, Lewis did not refrain from playing the air guitar during solos and singing along to the chorus. This song made him happy.

BIC: johnathan listened carefully to the music he was now listening to, but he didn't like it, so he dodged this bloody attack and countered with some good ol' Cajun style music. "Piano man" by billy Joel.
BIC: johnathan listened carefully to the music he was now listening to, but he didn't like it, so he dodged this bloody attack and countered with some good ol' Cajun style music. "Piano man" by billy Joel.
It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Making love to his tonic and gin
He says, "Son can you play me a memory
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's sad and it's sweet
And I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man's clothes"
Sing us a song you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright
Now John at the bar is a friend of mine
He gets me my drinks for free
And he's quick with a joke or to light up your smoke
But there's someplace that he'd rather be
He says, "Bill, I believe this is killing me"
As a smile ran away from his face
"Well, I'm sure that I could be a movie star
If I could get out of this place"
Now Paul is a real estate novelist
Who never had time for a wife
And he's talking with Davy, who's still in the Navy
And probably will be for life
And the waitress is practicing politics
As the businessmen slowly get stoned
Yes they're sharing a drink they call loneliness
But it's better than drinking alone
Sing us a song you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright
It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday
And the manager gives me a smile
'Cause he knows that it's me they've been coming to see
To forget about life for a while
And the piano sounds like a carnival
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say "Man what are you doing here?"
Sing us a song you're the piano man

Lewis smiled, this was something he could enjoy.
"Piano man... That takes me back."
Now he sounded like his father. He enjoyed older music, but preferred what came from the 50s and 60s. Johnny Kidd and the Pirates, Violet Fogg, all that good stuff.

Re: Pretskuniv (gyro + catherine)
"Johnny cash sound good?" He asked. But he had already turns on the next song. "A boy named sue"
My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me "Sue."
Well, he must o' thought that is quite a joke
And it got a lot of laughs from a' lots of folk,
It seems I had to fight my whole life through.
Some gal would giggle and I'd get red
And some guy'd laugh and I'd bust his head,
I tell ya, life ain't easy for a boy named "Sue."
Well, I grew up quick and I grew up mean,
My fist got hard and my wits got keen,
I'd roam from town to town to hide my shame.
But I made a vow to the moon and stars
That I'd search the honky-tonks and bars
And kill that man who gave me that awful name.
Well, it was Gatlinburg in mid-July
And I just hit town and my throat was dry,
I thought I'd stop and have myself a brew.
At an old saloon on a street of mud,
There at a table, dealing stud,
Sat the dirty, mangy dog that named me "Sue."
Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad
From a worn-out picture that my mother'd had,
And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye.
He was big and bent and gray and old,
And I looked at him and my blood ran cold
And I said: "My name is 'Sue!' How do you do!
Now your gonna die!!"
Well, I hit him hard right between the eyes
And he went down, but to my surprise,
He come up with a knife and cut off a piece of my ear.
But I busted a chair right across his teeth
And we crashed through the wall and into the street
Kicking and a' gouging in the mud and the blood and the beer.
I tell ya, I've fought tougher men
But I really can't remember when,
He kicked like a mule and he bit like a crocodile.
I heard him laugh and then I heard him cuss,
He went for his gun and I pulled mine first,
He stood there lookin' at me and I saw him smile.
And he said: "Son, this world is rough
And if a man's gonna make it, he's gotta be tough
And I knew I wouldn't be there to help ya along.
So I give ya that name and I said goodbye
I knew you'd have to get tough or die
And it's the name that helped to make you strong."
He said: "Now you just fought one hell of a fight
And I know you hate me, and you got the right
To kill me now, and I wouldn't blame you if you do.
But ya ought to thank me, before I die,
For the gravel in ya guts and the spit in ya eye
Cause I'm the son-of-a-[CENSORED] that named you "Sue.'"
I got all choked up and I threw down my gun
And I called him my pa, and he called me his son,
And I came away with a different point of view.
And I think about him, now and then,
Every time I try and every time I win,
And if I ever have a son, I think I'm gonna name him
Bill or George, anything but sue! I still hate that name!
And he didn't leave much to ma and me

Re: Pretskuniv (gyro + catherine)
Lewis didn't suspect that they would share any other interests, so he stopped talking. He had nothing else to say, so he retreated back into his nutshell, which grew thicker and harder to crack with each day. It was nothing against Jonathan, it was just... humans were weird. He reclined on the sand, laying on his back, watching the pink clouds flow by against the orange sky. His arms stretched behind him, filling his body with positive impulses momentarily. Letting out a short breath after stretching, he laid one leg down while one was propped up with his knee in the air, occasionally switching. He turned his head away from Jonathan, looking at his shoes and getting sand in his greased up hair. Turning back and getting even more sand stuck, he let out a long sigh. Not a sad sigh or a sigh of relief, but a sigh of relaxation. This is where he wanted to be. Laying on his back in the sand, the cold water trickling across his toes every time the waves grew slightly bigger, watching the colors of the sky change from white and blue to pink and orange with the sunset approaching. It was quite beautiful, really. The only thing he would change about this scene was Jonathan, he would remove him. He wouldn't want anyone beside him, this was his time to think, not even Jessica.

Lewis thought for a minute. It was wonderful before you showed up. No, he couldn't say that. With his tranquility disrupted by Jonathan pointless question, he let out a slightly annoyed sigh, almost disguised as another sigh of tranquility. He kept his eyes on the pink clouds above, not turning his way.
"It's alright."

As the sun descended further into the sky, the moon began to rise. The clouds slowly started to turn to a light gray, and the sky started turning to a dark blue. Luckily, pollution wasn't a problem in camp, thank Zeus. The stars wouldn't appear for another half hour or so, but Lewis planned on sticking around to see them.

While Lewis wasn't looking, johnathan dashed into his cabin and returned with a sleeping bag, a pillow and the bigger belt he could find. He wanted to sleep under the stars tonight. They were just too beautiful. He set the sleeping bag on a high but thick branch on the nearest tree he could find. He wrapped the belt around the sleeping bag and the trunk of the tree and buckled it. He climbed into his sleeping bag, rested his head on the pillow and silently fell asleep.
