Lindsey Callaghan (Nemesis) Empty Lindsey Callaghan (Nemesis)

Post by Lindsey Callaghan 7/20/2014, 6:29 pm

    Name: Lindsey Callaghan
    Age: 17
    Gender: Female
    Eyes: Green eyes
Hair: Long shoulder length, ginger hair
    Height: 5'5
    Body Type: Slender
    Skin Color: White
    God Parent: Nemesis
    Mortal Parent: Thomas Duffy Callaghan
    Country of Origin: Ireland
    Pets: None
Talents: Athletic, great at history, good reader, good at writing and a skilled combatant with her Khopesh.
Weapon: Celestial Bronze Khopesh and a Celestial Bronze Aspis shield
Personality: Lindsey is rather reserved, keeping mostly to herself almost as if she is trying to keep herself neutral. She is often seen as being rather fickle switching her loyalties towards goals or individuals whenever one seems to be becoming too successful or close to fruition. Despite her rather lack of loyalty she is a proud individual who follows her own personal code of honour. Lindsey possesses a dark sense of humour finding even the weirdest things hilarious. She is not the most forgiving person in the world, in fact she is a grudge bearer going to the extent of writing a book containing every insult and misdeed performed against her or those she cares about.
Flaws: Grudge Bearer, easily angered, charges without orders, vengeance seeker, if wronged Lindsey will seek vengeance for it.
    Powers: None

Life Before Camp: Lindsey grew up in an apartment in Dublin, Ireland. Her father Thomas had a good job at a car dealership which meant that money while never plentiful was in a large enough supply that they never went without either. School for Lindsey was a mixed bag, on one hand she never really made a lot of friends because she struggled to make lasting bonds with them, while on the other she never became bullied for being different. Though this probably largely had to be with her habit of beating up anyone who tired such a foolish gesture. She was average at her education only really excelling at sports and history, which was fine with her.

At the age of ten her father declared that they should emigrate to America and start a new life there. At first Lindsey objected to the idea preferring Ireland to a mysterious unknown land. Yet soon her father won her over to the idea and before she knew it Lindsey found herself in a small apartment in New York, her father a local cop. Settling into American schools happened to be rather difficult, especially with their different educational system. She only made one friend, the slightly weird Robert who relied on crutches. He was a true friend and a stalwart companion.

Robert kept insisting that she travelled up to Long Island with him and his father but when the pair inquired about it at first Robert refused. Inexplicably a few weeks later he relented and gave Lindsey permission to go, on the condition that Robert promised to take care of her no matter what happened and that he could come along too. Her friend agreed. None knew how soon Robert would come to fulfilling that oath.

In a beat up old brown car she travelled to Long Island, Lindsey does not know the make, only that it was brown and needed to be serviced badly since it appeared to be on the verge of falling apart.

The journey was long, however it did not become boring. Lindsey was with her beloved friend and his rather amusing father Darius. Even her father Thomas seemed to be in good spirits despite being distracted somewhat, a bit confused by the constant talk of Greek history and mythology. It was an uneventful journey until the ending, when the car stopped without warning in the middle of nowhere.

Robert explained to Lindsey that she was a Demi-god while Darius tried to explain the concept to Thomas who found it hard to believe that the woman he had loved had been a Greek God. In contrast Lindsey accepted the concept readily, eager to see this Camp Half-Blood and find out who her mother was. At the time none knew she was Nemesis' daughter. The thing that most shocked the pair was the fact that Robert and Darius happened to be Stayrs. It happened to be something that Lindsey did not see coming. At the car her father said his good byes to her, making her promise to come find him when she finished her time at Camp Half-Blood, a promise she intends to keep. Her father drove off in the car while Darius and Robert escorted Lindsey to what would become her new home for the next eight years of her life.

It was on the way through the woods that the trio heard a far off sound, Lindsey had no clue what it was but by the look of fear in the eyes of her companions, it could only have meant trouble, danger or perhaps even death. Darius told them to run to the safety of the camp but whatever was out in the forest... It wasn't stopped by him, a sudden fog made visibility poor yet the sound got closer, like the rumble of thunder as a storm closed in. Suddenly Robert stopped and explained to Lindsey that she needed to run, that he would hold whatever was out there off until she reached safety. Lindsey normally would not have abandoned her friend, yet the urgency and the desperation in his eyes convinced her to withdraw. She left two friends to die that day, Lindsey reached the safety of the camp but neither Darius nor Robert made it. No trace of them where found. Lindsey swore that she would avenge her friends, who gave her life so that she might yet live on.

She does not know that her Stayr friends where attacked by a large serpent.

RP Example*: Lindsey Callaghan let out a soft sigh in the peaceful silence of the demigod cabin in which she slept and generally lived in. For once it was silent, an odd thing really never the less it was something she found herself enjoying. Sitting up on her bed with her legs cross she held a hefty tomb, a leather backed book. She snapped of the clasp with a sound that shattered the silence like a brick shattered glass. Carefully she opened the book, her green eyes scanning the neat handwriting, some off it had a neat line through it. She read each line with a methodical precision, reminding herself of grudges past and grudges still yet unfulfilled. One at the start of the book remained uncross, one she kept returning to. The words there dominated her mind, it was something she knew that she had to do. At some point, some day she would fulfil it, finally avenging what was lost all those years ago.
It would not bring them back, no nothing could do. Nothing that she knew of. But... This had to happen, it needed to. Nothing would stop her on this path, once she found out who then her blade would take their life or lives if more than one happened to be the culprit. They owed her a blood debt and she intended to collect it.
