I walk to a section on the opposite side of some nonfiction things, and browse the books, fiction, obviously. I rub my fingers against the spines, trying to decide.

I took out a big book on walruses and stared at it, frowning at the cover. The walrus picture on it made the walrus look about ten times bigger than it really was.... and it was poised like Ariel from The Little Mermaid on a rock.

I looked up to put the book back, when I saw a girl on the other side. I frowned and reached to put the book back up, when somehow one from the uppermost shelf fell and clunked me on the head, causing me to yelp and drop my walrus book on my foot. And it hurt, too...

I bent over and picked up both books, putting the one from the top shelf in an empty space and the walrus book back where I'd gotten it. I took off my hat and rubbed my head, muttering, "Stupid books..." I walked around the shelf to the fiction section, glancing at some Tolkien books.

I picked out Wuthering Heights and opened it, frowning. Thanks to my dyslexia, all the words were jumbled up. I scratched my head, looking at the words sideways.
