    {Othello Timon}
"Don't listen to a word I say; the screams all sound the same. Though the truth may vary this ship will carry our bodies safe to shore."

      Age:
Othello is seventeen years of age.

      Gender:
      Othello is a male.

      Description:
      Physical description:
Othello has a somewhat odd appearance, although, for some reason, a lot of the girls at his school seemed to like the way he looked. His brown hair is usually messy, giving him an appearance of not caring, which isn't that far from the truth. On the rare occasion that he does brush it, his hair tends to look odd and out of place, so he messes it up again. Othello's hair tends to puff up a bit, and although he always complains about it, he never tries to do anything to fix it. His oddly puffy-ish hair looks odd with his long, narrow face, and many people had suggested that he tries straightening it, but Othello secretly enjoys having his odd hair. He thinks that the mismatching state of his hair and his face suits him.
Othello's eyes are a very dark brown color, almost black. He always keeps them kind of guarded and void of emotion, so that way he always remains a mystery. His eyes are also the main indication of whether he's interested or not. If he's not interested, his eyes start loosing focus, but when he is interested, an odd brightness enters his eyes. On the occasion when something does interest him, the brightness in his eyes tends to startle people, due to the fact that his eyes are normally devoid of any signs of emotion, or any true emotion. There are times when he looks happy, but it's usually noticeable that he's faking.
The fact that Othello is awfully skinny is very noticeable, especially because he usually wears very tight skinny jeans. Most guys would get picked on mercilessly for this, but for one reason or another, Othello wasn't. Many girls also seemed to find this attractive, although Othello was oblivious to the fact. Most of his clothes were actually very tight fitting, which was just a look that suited him. Other guys at his school tried to mimic his look, but it only seemed to work with Othello. He never was one to stick with the popular trends, and he always thought that the sagging pants thing looked ridiculously dumb, but his clothes are usually dirty and crumpled.
Othello's skin is oddly pale, even though he'd spend a lot of time outside with his best friend and cousin, Timothy. Othello thinks this is because he grew up in New York City, and the tall buildings tend to block out the sunlight. His aunt always made him wear a lot of sunlight, due to the fact that her mother, who would be Othello's grandmother, had died at a young age of thirty-five due to skin cancer because she didn't wear sunscreen. He also is almost always wearing long jeans, and he wears a hoodie a lot of the time.
While he is awfully skinny, Othello has a slight muscular build. While it isn't as noticeable as the other boys in his grade, it's still there, and when his arms are bare, it's noticeable. It doesn't stick out all that much, either, and people tend to not notice it. Unlike this feature, many people notice how odd his face looks. While his hair looks round and full, his face is long and narrow. His nose is fairly big, and it sticks out to people a lot. His lips are pale and about a normal size, which many people think is odd, considering the fact that almost everything else about him looks unnatural. Often he'll have thin black lines drawn on his face, underneath his eyes, which he started to do when Timothy drew lines on his face while he was asleep and he didn't notice. In order to cover up the fact that it was a joke that he had failed to notice, he acted as if he meant to do it.
      Personality description:
If it wasn't clear from his physical description, Othello has a small fanbase among the girls of his school. This fact made him somewhat vain, although he didn't enjoy having so much attention put on him. Most of the time, Othello feels awkward in his own skin, like he was just put together from spare parts. He's always afraid that his nose looks too big, or that his face and hair look too weird. Half of the time he feels like this, while the other half of the time he enjoys looking the way he does.
Othello is also very secretive, and while he may appear to be happy, he may truly be seething with anger or going through a mental breakdown. You can never really know what he's thinking or how he feels, because he's always hiding it. He simply doesn't like letting anyone see how he feels, so he shoves it deep down inside of himself. The only times when his emotions are wide open for people to see are when he is drunk or high, but he quit recently, and now he only shows how he feels when he reaches a mental breaking point and he can't keep everything inside of him anymore.
Like most other demigods, Othello has a lot of trouble keeping still. He always has to be moving around, and he's almost always doing something with his fingers, his most recent habit being finger boarding. If his finger board isn't present, he'll be fiddling with a pen, pencil, stick, cigarette, fork, spoon, knife, or anything he has on hand. This has gotten him in trouble on various occasions, yet he still can't seem to stop doing it. If there's anything dangerous on hand, he's bound to do something bad. Othello is just curious by nature, which is fitting, seeing as many tragedies came from one girl's curiosity. If he's forced to stay in an enclosed place for too long, something is bound to be broken.
Othello is also very energetic. He has so much energy that he doesn't always know how to use or where to put it, seeing as he doesn't play any sports and he refuses to let too much emotion show, so he never lets himself get angry enough to just punch someone or yell at anyone to try and get his energy out. Most of the time he'll long board (which is completely different from skate boarding. While skate boarding involves a lot of tricks, long boarding is mainly used as transportation.) or he'll have water gun wars with Timothy and their friends, seeing as Othello's aunt and uncle don't let their children use Airsoft guns.

      God parents:
Othello's mother is Melpomene, the muse of tragedy.

      Mortal parent:
Sheldon Timon - After Sheldon, Othello's biological father, crossed paths with Melpomene, his life took a tragic turn. His company went bankrupt, he found out his girlfriend was cheating on him, he became addicted to drugs and alcohol, and on the day Othello turned five, he hung himself in the bathroom of their small apartment, where Othello found him later in the day.
Pam Ellis - When Othello's father committed suicide, his dad's older sister, Pam, took Othello in. Pam had been married for seven years and had two children, one of which was Othello's age. The other was three years younger. Pam and her husband, Rick Ellis, got married because of an unexpected pregnancy, and at this point in their marriage, they were coming close to getting a divorce, although they didn't want to because they were afraid it would mess up their children.
Rick Ellis - Rick was Sheldon's brother in law, married to Sheldon's sister. Because he and his wife, Pam, were Othello's closest relatives, they took Othello in, but only because Pam convinced Rick. On the few occasions when Rick and Othello had to interact before Sheldon's tragic death, they did not get along. The meetings would usually end with Rick telling Sheldon that he needed to control that 'little mongrel of his.' Their relationship didn't strengthen or get any better over the time that Othello lived with the Ellis's. For almost the entire time that Othello lived with his aunt, uncle, and two cousins, Rick and Othello ignored each other.

      Country of Origin:
Othello was born and raised in New York City in the one and only U.S. of A.

      Pets:
Othello has no pets, although he's always wanted to have a dog, seeing as they are usually as energetic as he is.

      Talents:
Othello doesn't consider himself to be good at many things. He can long board, although that doesn't take much skill to be able to do, and he can run really fast, but that's all he really gives himself credit for. He enjoys playing guitar, but that's just something he does when he's bored. In Othello's eyes, he's terrible at playing guitar. It's just something he does because when his dad died, he had left his guitar to his son. In reality, Othello's fairly good at playing the guitar.

      Weapon:
Othello has a CB switchblade and a sword, although he's never really been one to fight. He supposes that he'd be good at it, seeing as he always has so much energy bottled up, but he never really has had the chance to fight.

      Powers:
Othello has no powers (seeing as making people's lives tragic would be (a) probably power play and (b) too depressive.)

      Flaws:
Othello could probably name thousands of flaws if asked, unlike with his talents. His main flaw is that he has very low self esteem. He never gives himself enough credit for what he's capable of. He grew up with a father who was constantly criticizing himself, so Othello just figured that it was normal. It's something that he's been doing from a very young age, and nobody really knows about how he feels about himself, except for Timothy. On many occasions Timothy had tried to convince Othello that he wasn't as terrible as he though he was, but Othello never could be convinced. This leads us to another one of Othello's flaws, which is that he is stubborn. When Othello's mind is set to something, it cannot be changed, even if he's set on something bad. Another flaw is that he's horrible at showing emotion. He bottles it up until he reaches his breaking point, and then he just freaks out.

      Life before CHB:
Othello's life never had been easy. A few years after his mother left, his father's company went bankrupt. When he went to his girlfriend's house, who still insisted on living separately after three years, he saw her with another man. After many more tragic events, Othello's father became a drug addict and an alcoholic.
Young Othello didn't notice anything was wrong with this. His father was like this ever since he was three years old, and he thought that it was normal.
Then, when Othello came home from school on his seventh birthday, he couldn't find his father. When he finally checked the bathroom, he found his father hanging by a rope. He didn't know what to do, and his father wasn't saying anything, so he called 9-1-1. He simply told them that his daddy was in the bathroom on a string and he wasn't talking or blinking or anything, so they sent an ambulance.
After was a blur of adoption papers and visits, and soon enough his aunt and uncle were his legal parents.
His aunt and uncle, who he just called Auntie and Uncle, has two children, age seven and five. Their seven year old was named Timothy, and he and Othello were the best of friends. They grew up doing everything together. The youngest of Othello's cousins was named Gregory, or Greg as he preferred, always tried to hang out with Othello and Timothy, but they never let him.
When Othello and Timothy got into high school, they started going down a bad path. While Greg was getting good grades and making friends, Timothy and Othello ditched school, did drugs, drank, and basically everything that they were told not to do. They were careful with it, though, and they didn't get caught.
One day when Othello and Timothy were sixteen, somebody almost caught them. That was the day that Othello decided he would come clean, which he did manage to do, although he smokes.
One year later, Othello was hanging out with his cousin when a monster attacked them. Othello fled, and the monster followed him. Luckily, there was a satyr around to help Othello. After the attack, he took him to camp.

      RP example:
"Dude, you're like, boring now," Timothy said to Othello.
Othello heaved a sigh and stared at the ceiling of his cramped and cluttered room, thinking of all of the possible things to say. "On that day," Othello starts slowly, "I almost got caught. I'm not taking that risk anymore."
"So, what the heck are you going to do?" Timothy questions, and Othello can here the confusion in his cousin's voice. It was like the weed the continuously smoked and the booze they always drank throughout the past few years of high school had finally started to rot away Timothy's brain, or maybe they had been doing that for a while. Othello didn't know, because it's hard to notice when you're drunk or stoned, and sometimes even both, half of the time, too.
"Exactly what I've always done," Othello says in an irritated tone of voice, running a hand through his hair. "Just, I'll do it sober."
"But..." Timothy says, sounding hurt. "But what about me?"
"What, so now that I'm clean I can't hang out with you anymore?" Othello says, and Timothy's downcast face reflects his words. "Dude, you're the closest friend I've got. I mean, there are all the other guys, sure, but I can't tall them the stuff I tell you."
"Really?" Timothy asks, looking up at Othello.
As Othello guessed, Timothy had been rolling a joint as he talked. With a sigh, Othello said, "Yeah. Really."
But, for the first time, he was starting to doubt it.

      The form is finally done.
