Might as well be siblings. {Private}

I walked across Temple Hill, to my father's temple. I knew why I felt so at home there. I used to hang out sitting on top of it. I went back there with my notebook and pen in hand. Vaulting onto the roof, I sat and wrote new poems about my experiences, my dad and just life in general. I had a lot of fun in Kentucky with Andrew, but I was done with him after the drama that happened. I needed time to chill out and relax.

I noticed a kid around my age walk to the temple. I, wanting to talk to someone my age, jumped down from the roof. I snuck up on him and whispered in his ear, "Hello." I was feeling tricky that day.

Damn. He wasn't scared. "I'm Cecelia. You can call me Cece." I stuck out my hand for a handshake.

(12 about to be 13)

"Ok cece it's nice to meet you or as my Grandmother would say Pleakeki ko Meeki Iou" Lokana said looking at her with his green eyes

I smiled. "Are you Hawaiian by any chance?" He was kinda cute. He had brown hair and big green eyes. "Here, come up and sit with me." I launched myself up to the roof of the temple, and gestured for Lokana to sit next to me.

He came up and sat next to me. I had recently gotten claimed, but I still had the little probatio tablet. "So who's your parent?" He didn't have the tablet, so I assumed he was claimed.

I patted him on the back. "I'm sorry." I patted the roof of the temple gently. "It's Mars. I was surprised when I got claimed. Who do you hope will be yours?" I grinned widely. "Hey, maybe you'll be my brother."

I smiled with interest. "Oh that's really cool! I don't have any siblings. Half or otherwise." I opened my notebook, and started reading some of my old poems. I started to write one.

Up here, on the temple,
I finally feel at home.
Claimed and free,
Ready to fly.

I shrugged. "I mean, on my mortal side." I smiled at Lokana. He was kind of cute. "What do you like to do for fun?"

I smiled at him. He seemed to be really shy. "Ok! As you can see, I like to write poems and play piano." I handed him my poetry book, giving him a chance to read some of my poems.

I smiled broadly. "Thank you. I also play piano, but I can't really show you that right now." Lokana was very sweet, but also quite shy. Not me at all. I'm an extrovert, he was obviously very introverted.

Cecelia looked at Lokana with a look of admiration. "Really? That's cool. I lived in Kentucky. No surfing there." I watched his video of him surfing. "Oh wow. You're really good."

I cocked my head in confusion. "Really? I did not peg you as a Bacchus kid. What cohort?" I noticed he was spacing out, so I snapped my fingers in front of his face. "Lokana! You still there buddy?"

I nodded. "Oh okay. Who's your dad then, if not Bacchus?" Lokana was spacing out hardcore. "EARTH TO LOKANA. WAKE UP BRO." I took him by the shoulders and shook him just enough to snap him out, but not enough to force him off the roof.
