I smiled as I felt Astrid mistrust recede. This was good. I had friends now, and I wasn't going to let them down.

I laugh a bit more. I haven't been this happy in ages. It was hard for a child of Deimos to be happy, as thier negative emotions were so powerful. Normally the average emotion of a Deimos kid was to be constantly serious and depressing.

Fang licked Maya's hand, and barked a bit more. I liked seeing him so happy.

"Oh, don't wory its alright, I pretty sure we were just getting ready to go round for another-" suddenly, I feel Fang's mood go negative, and as it was right on cue, I hear him starting to bark.

I have been with Fang a lot of the times, and he only ever feels "negative", when either I am proper sad or angry, or when theres danger nearby.

I am not sad, nor angry.

Instinctively I turn sharply around, and draw my sickle and shield lightning quick, and look around for the danger.

Then I see it. Many, many, spiders.

Giant spiders.

"Uh oh."

I kept slashing at spiders, some of them getting out of the way, others weren't so lucky and got hit with my knife.
