by Ana heard people conversing, she pushed herself even closer to the trees. Louise's words kept coming back to her, about how Ana had changed. Maybe Louise was right, she was no longer the young marathon runner, who spent half of her day training. Come to think about it, Ana had missed the Berkeley 5k that she was looking forward to, she hadn't even ran a mile in a week. Ana was still wearing the creme cashmere cardigan that she had only worn to please her father. A month ago she wouldn't have been caught dead in anything this expensive.

Ana heard another person's voice this one was familiar, it was Hunter, Emma's friend. Ana moved farther into the shadows, where no one could see her. She also recognized Annabeth's voice, from the time they had briefly met when she was a different girl, when she was running on temple hill.
