Re: Watching and riding the horses
I followed Salvador over to the small horse. It was brown, with a black mane. There were a few splotches of white on the colt's legs. A beautiful horse, if I do say so myself.
"Wow... she's beautiful!" I say, smiling at the creature. I turn back to Salvador, brushing my red hair behind my ear. "Does she have a name?"
((ASDFJKL; Sorry, I've been busy with school. In fact, I SHOULD be working on a data sheet right now, but I'm taking a little break ;) ))

Re: Watching and riding the horses
"I don't think so," I replied. Some of the horses didn't have names, and this little one was one of them. I patted the horse and said to Maple, "Maybe you can name her."

Re: Watching and riding the horses
"I'd like that." I smiled, thinking of being able to have a horse of my own. My smile widened at the thought. I step over to the horse, and look around. "Is there a ah, step-stool somewhere?" I blush slightly, feeling embarrassed. What kind of person couldn't pull themselves up onto a horse? A small, petite dryad, that's who. I wish I was taller so at least I could do some things by myself.

Re: Watching and riding the horses
“Uh,” I looked around the horse stable. “I do think this stable has one…since I saw it earlier—wait,” I walked to the corner of the stable and found one of the step-stool. I brought it back to Maple and said, “Here you go. “

Re: Watching and riding the horses
I smile at him. "Thank you, Salvador." I bring the step stool up to the horse, and get on. The small horse whinny's with glee, or it could be upset to have someone on it's back. Either way, I was excited.
"Where should we go? Along the horse trail? In the woods?" I felt like I could go anywhere... even though I couldn't.

Re: Watching and riding the horses
“Hmm," I mumbled as I saw Maple with the little pony. The horse seemed to like her much. “I don’t really know, but I think you should go with the trail first.” The trail was smoother than the woods, and it was safer. I took a glance on the first horse I washed and proceeded to the point I was standing beside the black horse. He had a diabolical face, but I didn’t mind. I liked him, in fact. I released his tie and brought him near Maple. “Ready?” I asked her.

Re: Watching and riding the horses
I nodded. "I've never been more ready." My horse gave another whinny as we began making our way out of the stables. I turn my head back around to face Salvador. "Hey, you coming?" I laugh, racing ahead.

Re: Watching and riding the horses
“Yeah,” I jumped and got up to my horse’s back. He whined happily, and I figured it out that he hadn’t got out recently. It must be really boring waiting in the stable. “We should go for the trail first,” I added as I followed her out of the stable. “The horses need some warm ups.”

((We should probably start a new topic in the riding ring, because that's where the horses are ridden at. Do you want to start it, or me?))

Re: Watching and riding the horses
Sawyer
"Is there anyone here?"
Sawyer's eyes peeked curiously through the open door. Then she pushed it forward so she could see more, and stepped inside. She blinked a few times to get used to the dark (gods, why is there no light in here?!) before hesitantly starting to walk down the aisle. On each side of her, smelly, winged horses were whinnying and flapping their wings eagerly, ready for a new trip out in the blue. Brain, remind me one more time why on earth I'm doing this, she thought despondently to herself as she went up to a stall with a black pegasi inside. Gods, if someone just could... I don't know, help me saddle up this horse! She leaned on the stall-door before taking a deep breath and asking, only a little louder this time:
"Hello! Hello? Help, please!"

Re: Watching and riding the horses
I was walking around the stable when I heard a voice calling help. And it was a girl’s voice. What happened there? Was she going to be trampled by angry horses? I stopped my path and hurried to the horse stable. I was breathing hard, but I was glad that nothing happened. “What’s wrong?” I asked, tiredly.

Re: Watching and riding the horses
Sawyer
"Uhm..."
Oh. This didn't turn out quite as expected. She took a deep breath and said:
"Er, yeah. I was just wondering if you could help me saddle this..."
Sawyer turned around to look at the pegasi. It neighed merrily and looked mildly at her with its big, brown eyes, as if it encouraged her to give it a name. She thought about it for a second, before she came to the descision that it had to be a female.
"This pegasi here, yes. Its name is Halcyon." She nodded optimisticly as she talked, before looking curiously at the girl. She hadn't seen her before, and as Sawyer always was up for new friends, she couldn't resist asking:
"Anyway, what's your name?

Re: Watching and riding the horses
“Here, let me,” I offered kindly. I took the saddle and started to set the saddle on the Pegasus. I didn’t know much about horse saddle, but thank goodness I managed to guess where the saddle should be and set them properly. The horse riding lessons I enrolled was a little bit of helpful, after all. “Nice name,” I commented as I patted the horse as soon as I finished setting the saddle. “Oh, and by the way, my name is Terra. Nice to meet you.”

Sawyer
She nodded, and patted the pegasi on its muzzle in a similar way to what Terra just had done. Ugh, I hope I'm doing this stuff the right way, I don't want to hurt this thing. Oh well. Now it was her turn to introduce herself, she thought, before she did something so terrible to the pegasi that Terra didn't want to talk to her. She placed her hands confidently on her hips and looked at Terra, ignoring the horse for a moment.
"Sawyer Lorelei Atkins, daughter of Melpomene here," she grinned. "Nice to meet you too. Terra, was it? I like it."

Re: Watching and riding the horses
“Hey, thanks,” I grinned. In some seconds, however, I began to frown. “Wait,” I said, trying not to be rude, “I’m sorry, but who is Melpomene?” Being a child of Phobos was kind of cool and scary, since you can make people be really afraid with reading and animating their phobias…but sadly I could not read their minds too. If I could do that, I won’t bother her with the question.

Re: Watching and riding the horses
Sawyer
Argh. Just like I thought. Who's Melpomene? I knew it! She sighed deeply; well, she was (sadly) starting to get used to this.
"Melpomene was one of the nine muses. She was originally the muse of singing, before she became the muse of tragedy roleplays. And because of that, I haven't got any magnificent powers. Anyway, Phobos, isn't that ... you know, that phobia dude? I read about him somewhere, and judging by his name, it's pretty obvious he has something to do with fears." She looked curiously at Terra, eager to get her thoughts confirmed.

Re: Watching and riding the horses
"One of the Muses? They're awesome," I smiled, reassuring Sawyer that being the child of the Muses is cool. Imagine having a music genius mother. But when I heard Sawyer's question, my face turned grim. "Yes, Phobos is the god of fear," I answered slowly. "Phobias are all named after his name."

Re: Watching and riding the horses
Sawyer
"Isn't that cool, though? Like, do you have powers and such? 'Cuz that would super-cool." Although still slightly surprised over Terra's grim look when she mentioned Phobos, Sawyer smiled. It was interesting to hear about other demgods and their powers. She had always envied them, as her mother just ... well, played in tragic roleplays. Yeah, okay. Nevermind. Switch topic, Saw.
She turned around to look at the pegasi. She'd never ridden a horse before, and certainly not a winged one! She felt dizzy just by the thought of floating one meter of the ground. But I have to try!
"Okay, this is kinda awkward... let's just skip to what I originally planned asking you about, shall we? Yeah..." She walked over to the pegasi and brushed the leather on the saddle gently. Okay, seems solid. "Can you teach me how to ride a horse?"

Re: Watching and riding the horses
"Yes, we do have powers," I said, giving her my grim smile--which was quite scary. "They are sometimes useful, but for the most of the times, they are not nice to be kept around." I was pretty much concerned that Sawyer might ask what power did I have, but I sighed in relief as she asked another question.
"And yes, I can teach you how to ride one of these. First things first, though, you should be sitting on your horse right now."

Re: Watching and riding the horses
Sawyer
"Oh ..."
Sawyer looked at the pegasi. It was incredibly tall, and suddenly, she felt extremely small. Can I jump on it? I don't think so, she sighed inside herself, while looking thoughtfully at the pegasi. She did not want to ask Terra for help, as she wanted to prove she could get on a horse by her self. Because, yeah, it couldn't be that hard, right?
"Well, okay. Just wait a sec." She took a deep breath, then she walked slowly until she was right by the horse. This is now or never, she thought, before she took a firm hold on the pegasi's wing and slowly hoisted herself on top of the horse. The pegasi whined when she stepped on its wing, but when she finally sat on top of it, it (thankfully) went quiet. Oh well, it could have been worse. The horsie doesn't seem too damaged.
"Yeah, uhm... like so? What am I going to do now?" She glared helplessly down at Terra.
