"Um..." I tried hard to remember my horse-riding lessons. "Oh yes," I said as I patted the horse. "You should try to walk with it first...like, getting to know each other." I smiled.

    Sawyer

Walk with it. Well, that can't be so hard, can't it? Sawyer looked down at the pegasi, its black head swinging merrily from side to side. Well, at least the she was happy. But not for long, Sawyer swalloved nervously, before looking down at Terra again. "So, you're familiar with horses?" While talking, she took hold of the reins and tugged them gently. To her surprise, the pegasi did not move. Frustration mixed with nervousness and a bit of performance anxiety, and she ended up groaning quietly. Then something rushed to her mind, something she had snapped up outside the stables: she had to kick her feet gently in the flanks of the horse to make it move. I hope this doesn't hurt, she thought while doing so. Suddenly, the pegasi started to move. She almost fell off, but managed to stay on top by leaning against the neck of the horse.
    "Yes, is this right?"

I laughed. Did Sawyer saw her own face when she almost falls? It was bloody priceless, if I may say. But I subdued the arrogant side of me just for a while and I recklessly jumped to the back of my horse, which had been released from its cage a while ago. The horse, sadly, was surprised of my sudden move. It kind of screamed and put me back—roughly—into the ground. “Ouch,” I groaned, which sounded weird in my English accent. I then turned to Sawyer and said apologetically. “Eh. I don’t know really much about horses, but yes, that’s the right way for the introductory part.”

    Sawyer

Sawyer nodded, trying hard not to laugh at Terra's unsuccessful jump. After all, she knew the feeling, so her common sense told her it wasn't really funny. Yeah, right. Like I have a common sense.
"If this is right, what do I do know? Are we going to ... like, ride now? You know, to me you seem like a pretty decent equestrian. I bet you know how to ride." She smiled encouragingly at Terra, before looking down at her own pegasi again. Immediately, she felt a big wave of dizziness overwhelm her. I hope I don't have to fly ... okay, she could admit that maybe that was a bit stupid. Oh well. At least not very high up.

Terra shrugged and got up again. This time, she jumped carefully and successfully landed on the horse's back. She saw Sawyer's face and asked. "You okay?" The gentle horse seemed okay, Terra spoke in her mind. Then, what's wrong?
She studied Sawyer again and finally spotted a feeling of nausea all over her face. "That's okay," Terra said, reasurring her. "Let's walk for a while, and then we can go somewhere to experience a real flying trip."

    Sawyer

Sawyer let out a long sigh. "Okay, I got it," she nodded and made the pegasi move slowly out of the stall, while her head kept on screaming 'YES!' and then 'you know, you were lucky this time. She tried not to think about the last part as she turned around to look at Terra.
"So, were are we going? You know, which path are we going to take? Do you have any suggestions?"
She sent her a thoughtful look before smiling faintly.

"We'll take the easy...riding on the ground way first, yes?" Terra smiled as she herself climbed and started to ride on her horse. "And after that, we really should try to fly."

    Sawyer

"Naah, do we really have to?" she asked, although she knew it wouldn't help. Ever since she was a baby, she had been scared of heights. Though challenging herself physically was one of her hobbies, she had no intention to get rid of fears. At least, not right now!
She tugged the reins for the third time, and the pegasi entered the aisle. Then she steered the pegasi gently down the narrow passage and didn't stop until she was facing the stable-door. "Are you coming?"

“Well, we can do whatever you like,” Terra sighed and kept riding her horse so she could ride side by side with Sawyer. “Done warming up, eh? Instead of the easy way, why don’t we just…cut off the intro part and skip to the real track?” She tilted her head; her red, wavy hair fell upon her shoulders. She pointed to the seemingly-rough-and-hard riding track with many obstacles such as huge stones.

    Sawyer

"Ehm," Sawyer hestitated. Oh, c'mon. Just do it, Saws. You won't regret it. She looked down at Halcyon, then at Terra, and then back to Halcyon again. She could do this. She knew she could. Come on! Say yes!
"Well, okay. But you have to go first." She smiled weakly at Terra before glancing distantly at the path they were going to take. She felt sparks of regret tickle her stomach, but before they turned into flames, she was already on the path. It's now or never. Damn.

Terra saw Sawyer slowly riding her horse towards Terra's most favourite horse track, and smiled. This daughter of Melpomene had some courage. She could sense Sawyer's fear, of course, but she did not make it a joke. She appreciated everybody who tried to be brave against his or her fear. She patiently waited for Sawyer to come and stood next to her.
She, however, started to remember that she had something to do. She told Sawyer, "I'm really sorry, Sawyer, but I have to go. See you later, okay? Good luck with your horse riding!" She mounted down from the horse and left the stable.

Steven walked around and examined all of the types of horses that the camp had. Truly impressive he thought! As he was trying to decide on which one to mount he found a maremmano (ooc: a type of horse) bic: and decided to ride him. Thus he prepared him and rode off so to relax his nerves.
