Laure's chheek caught a rosy-red color that looked rather cute in the candle-light. She had almost forgot about Chance. Of course, he hadn't slipped out of her mind, but still... It wasn't as if she would think all the time about him.
"Chance?" she asked. "Um, I don't think so. He doesn't know I'm here, why should he leave Camp? He doesn't have any family in New Rome as far as I know."

Lindia nodded as they held hands, the candles giving the table a romantic feeling. "laure, I love you" Lindia said gently, carefully shaping her words for he best effect, her tone and pitch perfect. She then smiled and leaned over, engaging laure in a passionate kiss for several seconds before she broke away and smiled. "merry christmas"

Laure didn't know if it was the 'I love you' or the kiss that blew most air out of her lungs. She tried to kiss her back as passionetely as Lindia did, but she was rather shaky. As they moved away, she softly bit her lip, and looked deeply into Lindia's eyes. "I love you too, Lindia." she whispered. "Je t'aime aussi."

"Like... going out, in San Francisco? Why not. I don't think monsters would sneak on us, our mothers are not that powerful. They aren't even Olympians."

She spasmodically stood up. "Chance!" she exclaimed. "What in my mothers name...?"
The waiter slightly chuckled. Shut the f*** up, she thought. And even if the waiter didn't say in anything... The meal, the ring-box, the candles... it was obvious what was going on, but there surely was a way to turn things round without making a fuss or an argument.
She took a deep breath. "Wanna join us?" she asked, her french accent poking through.

Lindia gulped and began to fear this chance. She knew he was dating laure, who in turn was Datinf her. what was he thinking? That his girlfriend has a girlfriend? She was all confused now but his the box back in her pocket

I ran in angrily and sat at a dark corner of the cafe,kicking my seat away to it.I ordered some hot chocolate and started murmuring not so polite things about Deos.

What in Hades name was happening? Laure resisted the urge to just open the door and run away. Chance, and Lindia with her in the same restaurant! Then another girl walked in angrily.

Lindia noticed something was going on and could feel her girlfriends tension. Absentmindedly she stuck her hand in her pocket, searching for her ciggarettes and then remembered Laure had them in her bunk. So instead she lifted her hand tO her keychain "laure...."
