I walk off stage after our performance, and look around. I see tons of couples dancing together. Tears well up in my eyes as I think of Brody, a boyfriend that was actually a monster. I still can't believe he tricked me... I run out of the room, my fingers undoing my braids.
I can't believe I've been rejected. I've never been rejected by campers! I think too myself. I stalk out of the dance, confused and angry.

I chew on my bottom lip as tears stream down my face. I was filled with pain, anger, and sadness. "It's...It's nothing." I lied, my voice shaking. "I need to go." I muster a small smile to Alma. The poor girl...she has no idea... "Thank you for everything, Alma." I turn and walk to my cabin.
