Re: Homeward (Private)
I but the inside of my cheek, concerned th, perhaps, her condition was worsening. "I think there's a... A motel or something close by. We can stay there overnight. I'll be warm and out of the rain and you can rest there. I don't imagine you'd have gotten much rest on that ques,"
I told her.

Re: Homeward (Private)
"You'd be right," she said, shivering. She drank the last of her drink slowly, feeling exactly where the warmth was headed in her body. She could feel it spreading through her chest. It was a lovely feeling. She looked up at him and noticed she still wore his jacket over her stolen one. "Do you want this back?"

Re: Homeward (Private)
"Ah, no. Don't worry you can keep it for a while. At least, until we find somewhere warm to stay the night. I mean... I think we can find some place not too far from here. Maybe a block or two? Now, would you rather I hailed down a cab?"

She shrugged. "It's your choice," she said. "Just please don't turn out to be yet another monster and give me another disease."

Re: Homeward (Private)
I smiled- well more smirked than smiled. "I'll do my very best," I said with a chuckle. Looking outside at the bonechilling rain, I frowned. "I'll hail a cab. I don't want you getting any sicker than you already are,"
And with that, I hobbled outside and began to jump up and down, hoping to attract some attention.

She smiled and followed him. "I'll be fine soon. I promise," she said and drew a cross in the air above her heart. She watched him from the doorway of the café. She looked up at the grey sky as a cab pulled up.

Re: Homeward (Private)
I waved her from the window, beckoning her to get in. I I talked to the cab driver and soon learned the nearest motel was much farther than I had anticipated; a few miles actually. I was very grateful, at this point that if chosen to hail down the cab instead of walk. Had we been walking, I would've been in for a rude awakening.

Re: Homeward (Private)
Victoire came over and got in. She was quietly shivering inside when she realised she had not looked inside the bag she had stolen. She opened it and her eyes grew in disbelief. "No way..." she murmured.

Re: Homeward (Private)
Getting in after her, I pulled in my crutches and closed the door. I scratched my nose and yawned as the cab drove away. I heard her say something and frowned. "Is everything alright?

She grinned. "Now, anyway. It appears I now have access to my family's bank accounts," she said. "My mother must have been on that cruise."
She pulled out a credit card with the word Capulet clearly seen on it.

I grinned. "Excellent!" I exclaimed in excitement. But then I frowned. "...I mean, I can pay for it if you don't think your family will like you paying for everything," I smiled, trying to be gentlemanly.

Victoire reddened. "Actually, Daddy owns a record company. I can spend as much money as I like and it wouldn't make a dent."

I couldn't help but to chuckle. "We'll then," I laughed.
"Although, y'know, I'll still be paying before the hotel and cab. Gotta be a gentleman," I smiled.

"I'll open the doors for you then," she said. "In attempt to out-gentleman you."
She grinned weakly before coughing into the handbag.

Re: Homeward (Private)
I bit my lip. I couldn't be sure, but she seemed worse than she was when I met her an hour or so ago. Heck, she seemed to have gotten worse even in the last fifteen minutes.
I coughed awkwardly. "Um, hey driver, c-could you speed it up? I'll pay extra if you get us there in five minutes,"

It's official... The sword is letting me get sick... she thought to herself. She looked at Liam. "Sorry..." she said weakly. "I mean it... Thank you, also."

Re: Homeward (Private)
"No, no, don't worry about it. My primary concern is making sure you're alright, and making sure you get better,"
The cabbie was a man of his word; getting us there in maybe three minutes. It was quite impressive really. I, too, was a man of my word, and gave the cab driver a rather significant tip.
"C'mon. I'll help you inside. I'm sure there's a couch in the lobby you can lay down on while I get a room," I said as I ushered her inside.

Re: Homeward (Private)
I gave her a sad smile. "Just keep breathing, okay?"
I hurried up to the main desk. I requested a room with two beds (I would've gotten a separate room for myself, however I found myself worrying and fretting about Victoire and decided it'd be best to keep an eye on her).
The lady gave me two key cards for a non-smoking room on the second floor.
I hobbled back down to where poor Victoire sat. "We're up on the second floor. Think you can make it?"

Re: Homeward (Private)
OOC: Just to clear up with the mods. I had a glitchy moment on my laptop. She did not double post. I accidentally deleted mine. Victoire was sitting down feeling dizzy.
Victoire nodded. "I should be able to make that just fine," she said and coughed so hard that her body shook violently each time. She tried standing and shuffled toward the elevator.

"I crutches my way over to the elevator, keeping a close eye on my new found friend, just in case she collapsed.
"You doing okay?"
OOC Yeah, thanks for the clarification :) I myself was pretty confused (I freaked out for just a second, thinking I'd just completely imagined your response)

Re: Homeward (Private)
"I will be once I sleep," she said and put a hand on her forehead. She was still damp from the rain and she was so tired... Her chest was very tight, too. She moved straight into the elevator. "I'll need antibiotics. I was well previously."

Re: Homeward (Private)
"Im gonna get you upstairs, and make sure you're tucked in bed, all squared away, and then I'll go to the store and get some antibiotics and some soup. How does that sound?" I asked as the elevator climbed into the air.

Re: Homeward (Private)
"You can use my card," she said and gestured to the purse. The elevator rose and stopped with a bing. Victoire was a little thrown by it and stumbled forward. She stopped short and closed her eyes, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I'm OK..."

Re: Homeward (Private)
"Almost there," I assured her. "We're only Three Doors Down," I told her, as I helped her out of the elevator. Then, I scrambled on a head, legs twisting with my crutches in a mess, and quickly slid the key card into the lock, pushed open the door and held it for her.

Re: Homeward (Private)
She moved in and stumbled to the ground. "I-I'm OK," she said. She was dizzy and coughed more violently. She got back up and sat on a bed. She coughed and held her chest close.
