Central Park

"I-I'm sorry"I mumbled and finally let go, crumbling to the ground, my body weakened by my tears.

Elise sat down on the floor with him and held his hand. "Marcus you have to forget this. It's hurting me to see you like this and it's hurting you emotionally."

I nodded and tried to take deep breaths in order to calm down. I evwntually turned to look at her with a sad smile. "How much have I told you for my family?"

"What?" Elise raise an eyebrow.

"What do you know about my family?"I repeated and wiped unshed tears away

"Not very much...it was a sore topic for both of us." Elise looked at him and wiped a tear from his cheek.

"That explains" I murmured bitterly and stood up."I'll be in my room if you need me"I said and left.

Elise got up and watched him as he left. She sighed and sat on the bed.

As soon as I calmed down, I grapped an empty backpack from under my bed and threw anything I found useful in before rushing to Elise's room. I watched the nurses leave before going in and throwing my half-filled backpack in her arms."Pack. We're leaving"

Elise caught the bag and looked at Marcus. "I thought you wanted to stay."

"Pack. We're leaving"I repeated and sat on a chair

Elise growled and started to pack things that they might need on the way back to camp. "What changed your mind?"

"I remember what happened the last time you were in a hospital"I simply said and observed her

Elise cringed at the thought of the needles that they had to inject her with. "It wasn't that bad." She zipped up the backpack.

"No, it was ten times worse. You ready?"I impatiently asked and stood

Elise nodded. "Yeah." She put the backpack on and walked to Marcus. "I can live with being in the hospital Marcus."

"We are going back to camp."I told her and locked the door before opening the window."Is it too high?"

Elise peeked her head out the window. "Hmm no...hand me those bed sheets."

I quickkly did as I was told and checked the room again for anything left to let her work

Elise looked around the room for a solid thing she could tie the sheets to. "Hmm..." She looked at a dresser that seemed to be bolted into the ground pretty well.

"You can also use the bed"I added as I noticed her stare."But be quick, the nurses will notice any minute now"

Elise grabbed the blankets and tied them to the leg on the bed she tied them until they were long enough. She then tossed them out the window. "Okay that should be good." She have it a quick tug and started to climb down.

I watched attentively as she worked, observing the way her fingers moved to tie the knots. She had long fingers and beautiful skin. Before I knew it, she was out the window. I rushed towards it and stared down at her, ready to move if she needed anything

After awhile of climbing she reached the ground. "Come on Marcus." She whispered up at him.

I nodded as I noticed her touching the ground, not hearing her words but knowing exactly what she wanted to say. I grabbed onto the sheets and stood out of the window. Once I fully let my weight on the rope something snapped and I fell face first to the ground. Damn.
