Re: Water...
I lay back down on the sand and sigh, "Where are you from?" I ask.

Re: Water...
Stealle really didn't know where she was from. She had been adopted from somewhere forigen, but her parents had never told her where. She just shrugged and muttered "I don't know, really." She leaned back on her elbows and looked up at the stars. They were so bright and beautiful here. Too bad Stealle couldnd draw lying sown on her back...

Re: Water...
Stealle cleared her throat, "I was adopted, never knew my real dad. I don't know where they adopted me from, but I wasn't born in America." She shrugged, as if this wasn't the most she had shared with any person ever. "But ah, where are you from?" She asked, almost trying to change the subject.

Re: Water...
"I used to live in Pennsylvania," I saw, closing my eyes, and smiling sweetly, "Then I was kidnapped when I turned 13." I giggle.

Re: Water...
Stealle looked up. "Kidnapped?" She asked, wondering why the girl looked so happy about it. She thought it could have possibly been a sytar, trying to get her to camp safely, but why wouldt Kat just say that? Stealle was lost on the subject, but hoped the girl would explain more.

Re: Water...
"Yup. Good old fashion, knocked-out-and-woke-up-in-a-trunk kidnapping!" I grin and sigh, "It sure was an adventure. I was dumped in the woods and stumbled upon the camp while looking for a safe place to rest my head. I guess my parents are still looking for me..." I open my eyes and look up at the stars. My smile fades.

Re: Water...
"Oh... I guess that would be scary. I'm not sure what I would have done." That was a lie. Stealle was pretty tough. She had a heavier build than most girls, meaning she was stronger but not quite as agile. "Um, how long have you been at camp, exactly?" She was trying to figure out how long she had gone without seeing her parents.

Re: Water...
"Like 3 months," I sighed, "But I still don't know anyone. It's like everyone here is super hard to talk to." My eyes drift off, "3 months..." I say more to myself than to Stealle, "Thrreeee looonngg monnthss..."

Re: Water...
Stealle looked at Kat, who looked rather sad now. She decided to change the subject, "Yeah, I know people, but that doesn't mean they know me. I really think one other person in this camp knows my name besides you and me..." The hint of a smile touched her lips as she thought about her other friend.

Re: Water...
"That's because you're on my good side." Stealle said, remembering when some kid had hit her upside the head with a volley ball, making her completely mess up her drawing. She had almost severed one of his arms before he had scurried away. Sooooo easy to get along with.

Re: Water...
Stealle thought Kat was about to sing a Hanna Montana song, and rolled her eyes. "Yeah I guess, but I can be a real pain if you get on my bad side. I'm almost positive the people on my 'bad side' couldnt tell you my name if you praraided it through camp on a blimp with my picture on it driven by rhinos."
OOC: I was going to say hippos instead of rhinos then I remembered you were afraid of them... lul

Re: Water...
"Yeah, that's because I am. Until a draw a sword and people start to wonder who the crazy blond chick is. That doesn't happen often. But I like being alone. It gives me a chance to actually concentrate on my drawing. I'm usually here or in the forest. My cabin mates don't take notice to me." Stealle had remained smile-less through this entire conversation, which wasn't too surprising. That was normal for her. Even when she was talking about Rhinos on blimps she managed to keep a straight face. She didn't even have to try.

Re: Water...
Stealle looked at Kat. The girl was really young, too young to be separated from her parents for so long. A daughter of Aphrodite... None of the other kids from that cabin, or any of the others, for that matter, even took notice of Stealle. She had played so many pranks on those cabins... Mostly Aphrodite and Ares, occasionally Hermes because they need a taste of their own medicine. She hoped none of her Pranks had ever hurt Kat, but it had been a while sense Stealle had played one, and Kat was a fairly new camper. "Thank you, Kat. I don't get that... ever."

Re: Water...
The wind blows through my hair as my eyes soften, "I can't understand why," my voice is simple and genuine, "I love talking to you, and I think you're beautiful. You have amazing talent and I'd do anything to make other people see that in you."

Re: Water...
Stealle blinked, biting her lip. She had no idea what to say. Never being complimented was one thing, but being complimented randomly on things you never thought would matter is something completely different. Stealle didn't know how to react, so she just said "Thanks" again and looked back up at the stars. She wished it would do something other than be sunny all the time here. She wanted it to rain or storm or have a cloud to break the perfect sky.
Stealle lay back in the sand, resting her head in the sand.

Re: Water...
I sigh and lay back down, curling up this time. The wind was chilly. I thought about my cat and wondered where he was. Probably sleeping on a roof somewhere. I think about the time he got stuck on the roof and my stepmom had to let him in through her bedroom window. I think about the time I let Liam in through my bedroom window last Summer. The memory felt real. Nostalgia nibbles at my toes. Oh dear, I was zoning out again, "How long have you been here?" My voice cuts through the silence.

Re: Water...
Stealle took off her sweatshirt and handed it to the younger girl. The cold weather never bothered Stealle anyways. "Um, Four years?" She thought thats how long it had been. When she was 13 she had started attending camp. even then she was very anti-social and inverted. Her talents had really flourished sense then. "I see my parents on holidays."

Re: Water...
I take her sweatshirt, "Four years. Wow..." Would I have to be here that long? Would I have to go 4 years or longer without seeing my family again? Without seeing my home? My friends, my room, my piano? What if it was all different when I got back? My heart beats faster and I loose track of my breathing. I cough and try to steady my breath, "That's a long time..." I said, simply.

Re: Water...
"Doesn't really feel like it." Stealle muttered, focusing on the sea again. It had actually been a while sense she was out by the water. She shook her head and looked over at Kat, who seemed to be having a hard time breathing. "You okay?" She asked, the first sense of emotion in her voice, concern.

Re: Water...
I choke for a split second, but I gain control, "I'm fine." I clench my fist, "I'm fine." I repeat, forgetting I had already said it.
