Celaena Reyes Harvale (Sell-lay-nuh Ray-as Har-vale) is the name her mother gave her but her people who know her more call her "Lay" or "Laena".

She was born and identifies herself as a female.
Mortal Parent:
Leda Harvale is a hardworking and tough to the nail mechanic who owns her own auto shop where she taught Celaena the tools of mechanics.

Her father is Hephaestus.

She was given birth to on November 9th, 1998.

She was born in the upstairs of her mom's auto shop in Chicago, Illinois where her aunt and grandmother ,who was previously a nurse, helped Leda give birth since they couldn't make it to the hospital.

She is a descent of Irish, Hispanic, and African from her mother's side and through her father's, Greek.

To her she wouldn't think of it much as an accent since she was so used to it but she has a Chicago accent.

She's relatively tanned though she's a bit pale from being a shut in.
Eye Color:
She has extremely dark eyes that could be compared to that of faded ink or at other times, extremely dark chocolate.
Hair Color:
She has brown hair though it's relatively lighter than the color of her eyes.
Hair Length:
When her hair is down it can fall a couple inches above her chest but she usually ties it up so it doesn't burn up in the forges. When it is tied up it manages slightly below her shoulders.

She is at an average height of 5'5 which she still considers fairly short.

Body Type:
She has an average body type, though her upper body is more on the slimmer type with skinny arms and she has tiny curves if you squint and look really close or run your hands on her sides to which she would send you to the infirmary for.
Appearance:
Celaena has a light splash of freckles across her face but they're more prominent on her shoulders, back, and arms. She has messy hair and though she keeps it maintained, it still flies everywhere and annoys her to no end. In all, she knows she isn't ugly but she isn't vain. About her appearance she would more than likely say, "Hey it could've been worse."
Weapons:
Scythe
She uses her scythe for real battles and only when she's prepared to fight because of how much space it takes up. It's shaft reaches to her shoulder while the celestial bronze blade sits atop and curves into a menacing thick killer that reaches a span of 4 feet horizontal. It's used to create distance with an enemy and to be able to kill/maim/hurt from further away.
Wrist Mounted Dual Blades
These babies retract from bracelets on both of her wrists and she can control which blades come out (not as in that there are more than one type of blade, just which bracelet it comes from) by pressing a button on that bracelet. The blades of celestial bronze don't curve inward or outward seeing as either option could hurt her but instead the back of the blade presses against the side of her hands. The blade can reach up to 2 feet and is mostly used for close combat and unprepared attacks since she always wears them.
Armor:
She wears the standard armor that's found around camp though she might've tweaked it so that the armor takes most of the damage through a lot of padding and coils.
Pet(s):
She has a beagle named Bread back at her mom's auto shop in Chicago but for Camp Half Blood she made a little mechanical cat that she keeps in her bunk. It's design is pretty messed up and ugly since it was her first creation at CHB but she kept it that way.
Talents/Skills:
She has a knack for math since she needs to do a lot measuring and what not and because of this her eyes can generally take into perception an estimate in centimeters or feet something is. She's a generally good artist so her designs don't come out like screw ups. She can memorize something that is said to her or that she read that is important to her or has any impact on her and can say it aloud word for word and because of this she can win many debates on matters that she cares about such as sexuality, gender, feminism, etc.
Flaws:
She has this bad thing with hoarding things. She always sees things on the ground or wherever and she always keeps it since she always promises to use it for a new creation or whatever when the fact is that she never uses it and just makes her bunk a mess. She has a trouble with listening to other people's ideas of what's right and mostly listens and depends on herself. She has 2 nasty ugly scars on her back that make its way across from her shoulder blades to her waist.
Strengths:
She has great endurance and a very high tolerance for pain and heat due to the fact she's always in the forges and can stand it. She has a good outlook on life and will always try to fight for something she believes in. She has the utmost courage in her heart to face her fears and she has a no bull**** personality and is very determined.
Weaknesses:
She has a trouble dealing with her sexuality because of past events in her neighborhood and how she grew up. She isn't good at comforting others and tries to avoid it since she's pretty insensitive and blunt.
Likes:
Anime, technology, MMORPG, reading, drawing, having motivation, being fussed over, competition, and girls.
Dislikes:
Upper class, dresses, pressure, strong smells, bullies, disloyalty, liars, and not fighting for what you believe in.
Fears:
She has a fear of being useless and helpless. She loathes the feeling of not being able to do anything and being weak. That adds onto the fear of not being able to save someone from death if she could have prevented it.
Personality:
Celaena is an independent young woman who's not afraid to make decisions and be persistent in getting what she wants. She likes girls if that wasn't obvious enough and though she has the spirit of a lion, she loves and cares fiercely. She is protective and extremely loyal to those who she is devoted to and is very defensive for them, she'll burn your face if you say something bad about her family or friends. She would do anything for someone like that and is completely selfless at times. She takes a lot of these traits from her mother who is also very fierce and determined. Though with all that, she still doesn't like to open up much but is very loud and obnoxious in her way of speaking.
Powers:
Body Heat
She has the ability to make her body temperature heat up. This can be used in two ways essentially: one for which she is cold and amps up her body temperature to become warmer (it can only reach up to 20 degrees Farenheight more than the actual temperature of her surroundings) and two, she can make certain areas of her body burning hot to up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. She only uses the second way to warn unwanted people who touch her so that they get a second degree burn. In no way can she use this power to set her body on fire or anything, its used mainly for defensive purposes since it's fairly useless in attacks unless she holds onto someone and burns them. She can use this ability around 4 times a day at most for around 10 minutes for the body temperature one and 5 for the burning one otherwise the heat reflects back onto her if she keeps pushing her heat onto them.
Mild Magnokenisis
She can summon things to her that is made of any type of metal and project it onto someone or something. As long it's within 50 feet in her perimeter and under the weight that she can strain like she's holding it herself then she can have it come spiraling towards her like a magnet. For example she could summon a stray sword that's 30 feet away since she herself is able to pick up a sword but she cannot summon a weight that weighs 80 pounds and is 10 feet away since it strains her too much. She can, at most, do this power up to as many times as she wants as long as it does not strain her (like for picking up small things like a dropped coin or a sword) but if it does then she can only do it twice a day with two hours of rest. An example of that would be if she's trying to pull a metal monster in or something very heavy towards her. The limit of how much she can summon is around 60-70 pounds for 2 minutes at most since that's as much as she normally carry.
Social Status:
She isn't well known but she isn't a loner either. She keeps to herself with a good amount of connections so that she's neutral.
Summer or Year Rounder:
She only stays for the summer and goes back to Chicago to her mom for the rest.
Years at Camp:
She's been at camp for 3 years, ever since she was 13.
Life Before CHB:
Leda Harvale gave birth to Celaena when she was 24 and a student in engineering. Celaena was raised by her hardworking single mother and lived with Leda and her own mother, Celaena's grandmother. She grew up poor what with her mom trying to balance out tuition, rent, the auto-shop, and raising a daughter but it never stopped her from encouraging Celaena to do what she wanted. They lived upstairs from the auto shop where there was a small two bedroom floor. Though she went to school where lots of the kids could care less about learning, it never stopped her from wanting to learn more from the motivation to help her mom. When she was 6, her mom taught her everything that she knew about mechanics and soon enough Celaena worked with her mom at the auto shop. Her grandma eventually died when she was 9 and by then her mom was juggling 3 jobs, school, and being a mother. She herself got small jobs such as babysitting, walking dogs, or any other little job to do what she could to help. Eventually their money state had gotten so bad that her mom had to quit school to make times for more jobs. By then Celaena would be lucky if she ever got to see her mom twice a day, usually in the early morning or late at night. Not wanting to burden her mom anymore, she took a hundred dollars and ran away from home and by that time, she was 13. Celaena took a bus not knowing where she was going and landed in Brooklyn where she stayed with her aunt for a while. Eventually her aunt told her mom where she was and Celaena ran away again where she hid behind a well known museum until a satyr found her when he was chaperoning for a field trip. She took the risk of going with him to CHB though she didn't quite believe what he said until she entered onto camp grounds.
Role-playing Example:
Cold. Celaena had never felt any more cold and frightened in her entire life than she was now. She was shivering with her hands wrapped tight across her chest though it barely did anything to provide her warmth. She couldn't help but think she was inevitably going to die tonight considering her circumstances. It was barely 20 degrees out with harsh winds that blew all kinds of things at her like leaves and trash. Nobody was out here and she had run away from her mom for the second time, this time with no hope for anyone to come for here. She could just go back to her aunt's apartment where it was no doubt warm and cozy with the scent of hot chocolate and cinnamon wafting through the room and she would have the freedom to burrow herself under any blankets she saw. That sounded way much better than freezing out here in the winter cold where she smelled wet concrete, gas, and the metallic tinge of pollution. Brooklyn was a busy city, even in the frigid cold. From behind her curtain of hair that blew across her face she could see the beaming lights and hear the honking of taxis and shouts for them. Celaena rested her head back into her knees and she could feel her body trembling like a leaf in a storm. Going back home would dismiss her whole point for trying to help her mom. She knew her reason wouldn't make sense to her mom herself but if she was gone then her mom wouldn't have to worry, she wouldn't have to buy the extra things that Celaena needed and if she got her savings back up then she'd be able to go back to school. It made sense in her 13 year old brain, it was the only logical reason. But even with that in mind she couldn't help but break out into tears knowing how much she already missed her.
