Arek, with all of the pain in his leg, limped around the forest, unsure of what he should do. Should he have chosen the mess hall instead? Maybe the beach would have been nicer. Nope, he chose the forest.

As he walked around, he checked that his swords were still as they were before. "Shh, quiet my darlings. I... I know you are bored. B..But I c..can't just go.. around fighting. t..t..th..things." His twitching had begun acting up annoyingly in the middle of his talking. "But, if you guys are good, and someone bad shows up.. W.. We can go.. go fight them." He honestly hoped he wouldn't have to fight though. He isn't a big fan of it, and never really cared for it.

His cane bumped into a rock, and he tripped, falling over and landing on his good leg, but it still hurt the bad one just as bad. "Ouch! God damn it all." He was now irritable and angry.

"You okay, Arek?" Victoria asked worryingly as she leaned down to help her friend up. His broken leg was sustained by a cane. Earlier today she had agreed to go on this stroll with him, which was unexpectedly boring. Especially if she had to constantly wait for him to slowly limp and catch up. Today she wore shorts, with the classic orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, her Celestial bronze glasses gleaming in the sunlight. Vicky's shashqua sword was sheathed, strapped to her back.

"By the gods, you should be careful next time, especially in this state." she complained, "You could make the injuries worse." The daughter of Clio suppressed a comforting smile.

Arek had glared up, "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm great actually." He had a slight twitch, "T..This is just normal. B..By now you should know that." He turned and yelled at his swords "I know.. I.. Know. You.. You guys a..are fine. D..Don't y.yell at me." He accepted Victoria's help up as he got back to his feet.

"It's not like I chose to have a limp, little miss nag. Besides, the injuries are permanent, so anything I do more won't really have much of an effect. Except put me in a wheelchair.." His twitch triggered once more, "Th..that wouldn't be f..fun. G..God, I can.. can't stand this twitching and stuttering. I..It make.. makes things difficult." He continued his limping through the forest, hoping she wouldn't speed up to much. He wasn't very good at keeping up with people, but if they were willing to be patient, the limping wouldn't be so bad.

"You need a bloody wheelchair. I insist." she replied firmly. "Don't yell. The swords don't talk to you."

Vicky followed Arek closely. She was trying her best to be patient, but it was somewhat irritating. "You can try a powered wheelchair. Automated, fast and effortless. That means I won't have to put up to your limping." Vicky smiled mischiveously. "And you save a lot of strength."

The two of them continued to stroll deeper into the woods. "What do you wanna talk about?" she asked abruptly, breaking the silence, her British voice coming out over her recently adapted American accent.

"Just because you c..can't hear their lovely v..v..voices, doesn't mean they aren't t..talking." He grumbled. He turned to the wakizashi, "I know she doesn't understand it. No one can u..understand it." Then he turned back to her "I..I will.. not use a wheelchair i..if I don't have to. D..Do you know how much those thing..things suck? I..I would have to.. work harder to u..u..u..use it."

After she had inquired about something different to talk about, he figured the best topic would be something simple. "W..What do y..you do exactly? I..I mean pow..power w..wise. W..Who was y..your god pa..parent?"

"Clio. The muse of history. So no powers." Vicky shrugged. "But I can be deadly as well." she admitted. "I figure you must have some kind of power, being a son of Hephaestus?" she raised an eyebrow. "I reckon Pyrokinesis or Technokinesis? But please don't inform me you are powerless."

"Dude, they are non-sentinent." she insisted on the sword subject. "They are not living. The Sword of Summer is an exception, but yours are not."

"Actually, and quite ironically, I can create a leg cast that gets rid of my horrid limping. Also, I can create a wild fiery blast that erupts around me. They're pretty cool, but I think other Hephaestus kids have cooler powers. And, yes, my swords are talking to me. I..if y..you need reminded, I have Schizophrenia." He replied. "S..so, no powers? "Schizophrenia. Aha! So you do know you shouldn't be talking to them. How wonderful." she smiled, then their trek continued down the deep corners of the woods. "But, I guess I should just let you talk to them. After all, there's nothing wrong with talking to a non-sentinent being, right?"

Vicky slowed down her pace, slow enough for Arek to catch up. It was rather boring, always have to wait for the guy. "You know, I think your powers would be of good use by now."

"I..I s..suppose I know that the issue is there, but there are times when it seems so real. T..Thats why, even with the knowledge, I can't always deal with it normally." He turned to the dual buster swords, "Yes, yes. I know." and back to Victoria, "They say that my powers shouldn't be wasted so e..easily. They are rather hard to use, and wear off after a bit." He limped, the cane easily matching his pace as he caught up with her again. "You know, it's not always nice to nag a cripple over him being crippled. In fact, in most places, it's down right rude." He raised an eyebrow, "Are you a rude person, Victoria? Seems like the four of us agree." He said, noting the fact that all three of the swords had made a comment about it.

"I can be sometimes." she replied, but a bit coldly. "And albeit, you are quite irritating yourself." she said, laughing quietly. "And only one agrees on it. Your sword's thinking is what you think. So it doesn't count."

"Schizophrenia is a handicap too." He joked. He looked around at the forest around them. He did enjoy it a lot. It reminded him of how he used to feel, Wild and free, and made him feel more at home. It was also weird being around someone so friendly, now that he thought about it. "Say, why did you agree to come with me on this little stroll through the forest again? Do you like hanging out in the forest, or is this place calming to you as well?"

"Aye, we're friends, aren't we? Besides, it is chilling here. There's no other place more quiet and peaceful than the forest." she smiled, gazing at her companion, then at her surroundings. Hundreds over hundreds of trees in a few hundred meters. It was like they were alone in the jungle with Bear Grylls. Haha, Bear Grylls. Vicky made a joke about him prior, about the inhumanity of 'grylling' a bear and eat it.

'Friends. That's that one weird word again. What's it mean to actually have a friend?' Arek had thought to himself. "Mm, yes. We're friends. So, hanging out with friends is what normal kids always do, right? I've never really had friends, since I'm a little broken on all levels. The swords were honestly my friends for some time before this, since they were the only ones who listened to me." He chuckled a bit "its funny how my disorder was the only thing keeping me somewhat sane."

He did his little glance around once more. He did enjoy this. Walling around with another person was definitely more fun than watching others have fun while he twitched about. If Victoria caught it in time, a quick smile passed along his face before he shut it out again.

I'm Vicky, but if you prefer it you can continue addressing me as Victoria. Frankly, others told me Victoria is a better name. Which do you prefer?" she smirked.

"Victoria is a much more lovely name. It's got this.. Royal fee..feeling to it. I believe that Vicky makes you sound like an icky person, whereas Victoria is a very high and noble name. It's m..much more beautiful." He responded in a very educated tone. He then turned back to the wakizashi, "S..Shut up." He wasn't giving many signs as to what the blades were actually saying, but that was mostly because he continuously forgot that other people didn't realize the voices he heard.

"Ight', mate." Vicky nodded in agreement. Being in America made her slowly lose the British part in her. From being called 'Victoria', she became Vicky. Her accent slipped between that of an American schoolgirl and British lady. She stopped wearing in a British way, and now she prefers shorts and t-shirts over dresses. "Whichever you prefer, I can cope with it." she smiled casually.

"You have to cope with being called by name?" He joked. "Well, clearly I don't really have much choice on my name. People can call me Arek or Arek."

Arek stopped for a second. "You know, I've asked about your god parent, but.. Well, I suppose no one ever asks anything much deeper than that. What was your life like outside of camp? With your family and friends? I've been hearing traces of British descent off and on with you, so I can assume you're from england at the very least."

"They're the bloody same…" Vicky said. Arek and Arek. The irony. "And yeah, I cope with being called by different names."

At the mention of her life before Camp, Vicky momentarily stopped and laid one hand on her temple. Then the second hand on the left temple. The smile on her face cracked. The amnesia was a terrible experience. "I can't…remember anything. I can't…" Then a tear trickled down her cheek.

Arek realized he had done something wrong fairly quickly, almost before he she had said anything. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories." He stepped over to give her a hug, "I'm really sorry." He fought the urge to yell at his swords this time, but if Victoria paid enough attention, she would be able to feel his arms twitch in both in irritation and just a normal Schizo kind of way.

Arek stepped away, and glared down at the wakizashi. It hadn't exactly said anything rude or inappropriate, but the comment he had heard wasn't exactly a pleasant one either.

"O-oh, it's nothing." she replied, stuttering a bit. Arek hugged her, and she held the guy by his nape with her hand. "Thanks Arek. And yes, I am British." she muttered, slowly recovering. "I have a case of amnesia. They told me they found me near Half-Blood Hill, head covered in blood after I somehow hit my head on the rock. And that was when I lost everything. Everything." Vicky admitted, trying to recall further. "It was a life I lost."

"Ah, I see. So that might explain why we get along relatively well. You suffer from amnesia, and I'm a schizophrenic. Too people with some level of mental screw ups." After Arek said this, he realized how insensitive it was, and kind of screwed up that he would even try to compare his situation to hers. At least he could remember his life, what little life there was to remember anyways, past all of the Schizophrenia. Then he dived a little further and thought maybe his life was a lie. Maybe the doctor wasn't really there, and that he had created this nice life for himself. He shook his head, and turned his attention back to Victoria. Her problems were more important than his own foolish little paranoia.

"Is there anything I could possibly do to help out at all? I mean, not that helping with amnesia is really something I can just waltz in and fix, but you know. I'd like to offer what little I can do to help."

OOC: Insensitive guy is insensitive. Hah, I think this might have been one of my most.. a**holish posts ever.

"Unfortunately no. It is permanent. I appreciate the offer anyway, mate." Vicky let out her classic thin smile. Then something popped up in her mind. She looked at Arek, a wide smile visible. "You stopped stuttering!" she exclaimed. "After some conversations perhaps I cured your disease. Brilliant!"

"Come on let's rest here for a while." Vicky said, sitting down on an empty and smooth patch of grass.

"Hm? Oh, no. The stutter is intermittent. It comes and goes. Actually, it is usually only active when the swords are actively talking. I'm guessing here in about 10 to 15 seconds, I will begin stuttering once more." He replied, "Somewhat similar to you hiding your British accent, but letting it slip every once in a while."

When Victoria sat down, he continued standing, since sitting down on the ground was one of the worst ideas for any cripple. "I suppose a break wouldn't hurt. Though, it'd be awesome if you were the child of a god who makes chairs. Haha, that would be highly convenient." At this point, he was leaning so far on his cane that it looked almost like he might tip over it. The amount of pressure he removed from his leg by doing this felt amazing since they had been walking for quite a bit.
