Theo saw the ax coming, but made no move to block it or move out of the way. He felt the knife connect with his chest, heard his ribs crack, saw the spray of blood and felt its warm, stickiness spilling down his torso. "Oh, sh!t," he growled. With fingers that were shaking from blood loss, he ripped off his shirt and pressed the dark fabric to the wound. It was deep and he could tell that he had broken bones too. Under his shirt, his body was muscular and appealing... excepting for the fact that it was pitted with old bullet wounds and sword cuts. The bullet wounds were by far the most recent however, as they still hadn't faded from red to white. Scowling blackly, he muttered a long string of curses. The blood would not stop!

Theo shoved her away from him, hard. His complexion was paler than the average human's by quite a lot, but it was positively bloodless. "Dammit," he snarled. "Sin's going to kill me."

Theo tried to take a step after her, but his legs gave way beneath him and he crumpled to the ground. Rolling onto his side, he retched blood onto the dry leaves. Chest heaving and dark spots dancing in his vision, he tried to get up. He failed again though, and collapsed. Barely breathing, his blue eyes stared fixedly into the treetops.

I was torn. Here was a man, who had murdered thirty people. But then again, if I left him here, I, too, would be a murderer. But perhaps it would be judgement, just to let him die. But then again... Here was a boy, who's girlfriend would miss him if I left him for dead. Finally I decided to help fix him up so I wouldn't have to deal with guilt and a grieving girlfriend. "Be grateful I'm not a fast walker," I snapped, kneeling by his side. I pressed down on the wound with enough force to probably crack a rib or two. "Ypu as your girlfriend owe me one for this,"

Theo didn't hear her words, however. Almost as soon as her face flickered back into his line of vision, his eyes rolled up into his head and he passed out.

"No way you're a killer," I rolled my eyes. I tied my backer across his chest to stop th bleeding. "Great. Now I'll have to lug your fat a** to the infirmary," I complained. I put more pressure on the wound.

Theo continued to remain unconscious and unresponsive. His breathing was labored, but his heartbeat was, at least for now, steady. On the other hand, he had lost a lot of blood and that wasn't something that someone bounced back from in a heartbeat.

When she tried to move him, Theo's eyes flew open. "C'mon," he groaned. "Just lemme here... I can take death, trust me. Just... forget this ever happened."

Theo didn't have the energy for a sarcastic comment. "You kidding me?" he demanded. "I'm looking forward to it. Come off it, Sinder'll get over it after a while... maybe a long while, but she'll be fine. Don't waste your time."

"Don't tell me what to do!" I snapped. "I take orders from no one," then I got an idea. He was WAY too heavy to carry. "I'll be back in a minute," I said and left. Five minutes later I returned with a bag full of stuff. "Time to sew you up, because you're too fat to move," I said snidely tKing out a needle and thread I got in the infirmary.

"Didn't you ever take an anatomy class?" Theo said snidely. "It's called muscle, child," he said. It was true, he didn't have an ounce of spare flesh on him. "And look, just pass me a square of ambrosia and that'll fix it," he said, not strong enough to argue but giving it a shot nevertheless.

Theo grinned slightly, but it quickly turned into a grimace of pain. "Thanks," he growled, teeth clenched. He swallowed half of it to deal with anything internal, then rubbed the rest into the wound itself. A moment later, there was nothing left of it except a long, white scar. Just what he needed.

"That's because I didn't give it," Theo snapped. "M' name's Theodore, but I go Theo if you don't mind." Panting, he balanced himself on his own two feet and took a deep breath. Gods, this was ridiculous.
